Greyhound Rescue Wales (GRW) is Wales’ leading charity dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming greyhounds and lurchers. Founded in 1993, we have spent more than three decades championing the welfare of sighthounds and working towards our vision: a Wales without greyhound racing, where every greyhound and lurcher has a home and receives the best possible care.
In April 2026, after 25 years of determined campaigning to improve welfare and regulation within the racing industry, legislation to ban greyhound racing in Wales was finally passed. This landmark achievement marks the beginning of a new chapter for GRW as we expand our reach and capacity across the UK to ensure every greyhound leaving the racing industry has a rescue space, medical support and rehabilitation on the journey towards their forever home.
To help us grow sustainably and strengthen our long‑term impact, we are now seeking to develop our fundraising team with the creation of a Head of Fundraising role. You will lead and work closely with the Trusts & Foundations Officer, Sponsorship & Individual Giving Officer and Community & Events Fundraiser to deliver an annual income target of £400K+.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, and supporting our small talented highly talented Team your key tasks will be to:
· assist staff managing project finances ;
· support the development of donor project budgets;

You will be part or fully qualified, with at least 4 years’ progressive experience supporting charity financial management including budget compilation, donor reports and grant management. Role overview
Shine supports a community of over 15,000 members living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, including 10,000 adults (25+).
You will be delivering high-quality support and creating opportunities for adults living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their carers, supporting Shine members to lead healthy, independent, and fulfilling lives by improving condition management and fostering connections within the Shine community.
This role will focus on adults (25+), you will be primarily working within the Adult Services Team. However, there will be occasions when you will work across age groups to ensure the best outcomes for our members.
The role is home-based and ideally you will live within an hour commute of London, within Essex, Kent or Sussex as you will be attending clinics in London and the Southeast as required. The Head of Partnerships will play a key role in managing Inter Mediate's relationships with institutional donors, foundations, governments and philanthropic partners. The postholder will coordinate donor engagement across the organisation, oversee grant management and reporting, identify new funding opportunities and support the development of high-quality funding proposals. S/he also leads on our internal quality assurance, research and reporting processes, line managing the Research and Reporting Officer.

Designed by families, for families, The Ark was opened in September 2019 by the Mayor of London. The grounds offer wheelchair accessible outdoor experiences, including a Woodland Walk through a 7-acre nature reserve, a hydrotherapy pool and overnight suites for families to be close to their loved ones. At The Ark we are able to provide Specialist Care and Nursing for babies, children and young people, supporting their full clinical, emotional, social and practical needs. We have created a space where children who are seriously unwell are accepted as they are, safe to play, explore, express themselves and build confidence.
Rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission, the charity has had a sustained period of growth over the last two years and we are looking for high quality employees to come and be a part of that success.
Our expert staff and trained volunteers provide clinical, emotional and practical support for families across North and Central London and Herts Valley. We carefully adapt our support for every child and offer it wherever it is required - whether in their home, their community or at our state-of-the-art children’s hospice building, The Ark, in Barnet.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Supporter Engagement Manager position is a pivotal role in the Public Fundraising team, comprising seven specialist Fundraisers. The post-holder is responsible for driving growth in our Individual Giving programme through a mix of acquisition and retention campaigns.
Key internal relationships include the Head of Supporter Engagement and the Fundraising Management team.
The post-holder will work closely with the Fundraising Data Manager and the Community Engagement Manager on collaborative income generation and Supporter Engagement activities.
The post-holder will be instrumental in shaping the Individual Giving and Supporter cultivation strategies geared towards increasing our Cash and Regular Giving Supporter base.
The Individual Giving programme includes Cash Appeals, Regular Giving (including Door-to-Door recruitment), Hospice Lottery, Challenge Events, Legacies and Supporter Care. There is a strong focus on digital fundraising.

The Public Fundraising team is part of the wider Income Generation and Communications team based in our hospice, at The Ark. We are a close-knit, highly supportive, high-performing team of 19. About the Team
You will join a small, collaborative fundraising team comprising a Trusts and Foundations Manager, a Community Fundraising Coordinator, a National Activity Events Coordinator and a Fundraising Administrator. The Head of Fundraising leads on corporate partnerships, major donors and fundraising strategy. Each team member works with a degree of autonomy whilst contributing to shared income goals and a collective approach to supporter care.
Role Purpose
To steward and grow relationships with our individual supporters across every stage of their journey with HDA - ensuring that however someone first connects with us, they feel known, valued and inspired to stay with us for life. This role leads on legacy and in memory fundraising, two areas of significant strategic importance to us, whilst sustaining and developing our wider base of individual donors through appeals, regular giving and digital communications. Working closely with colleagues across fundraising and communications, you will help ensure that every supporter feels genuinely connected to our cause and to the community of people whose lives are shaped by Huntington's disease. What you'll be doing
You will lead the development and delivery of innovative services that improve the lives of disabled children and their families through play, early intervention and inclusive practice. Working closely with families, healthcare professionals, education providers and community partners, you will identify emerging needs, drive service improvement and develop approaches that increase impact, reach and sustainability.
A key focus will be shaping the future of Newlife's play offer, including Community Play programmes, Play Pods and the development of new Early Years services. You will ensure services are informed by evidence, family insight and best practice in child development, inclusion and play.

Qualifications & Training
Degree level qualification or equivalent professional experience in Education, Occupational Therapy, Play Therapy or Speech and Language Therapy
Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to early years, education, disability, family support or service leadership
