Salary: £85,000
Location: Hybrid (London HQ)
Mencap is embarking on an exciting period of fundraising growth and transformation, creating a rare opportunity for an ambitious and strategic fundraising leader to join the organisation as Director of Public Fundraising & Engagement. With strong backing from the Chief Executive, Board and Executive Team, public fundraising is recognised as a critical source of flexible, unrestricted income that enables Mencap to deliver meaningful impact for people with a learning disability and their families.

About the role:
For someone moving away from rough sleeping, having a safe place to stay can be the first step towards something much bigger. Gray’s Inn Road is a 16 bed short stay service in Camden, giving people the stability, support and breathing space they need to begin rebuilding their lives and move towards a home they can sustain.
As Service Manager, you’ll lead the team that makes that possible. You’ll have the space to bring ideas, develop your team and influence how Gray’s Inn Road continues to grow, while building your own leadership experience within one of London’s largest homelessness charities. With training, support and opportunities to develop across SHP, this is a role where you can grow your career while seeing the difference your leadership makes to people’s lives.

To reflect this, we actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, physical ability, disability or religion. As the UK’s HIV rights charity, we particularly encourage applications from those with an understanding of the issues faced by people living with HIV.
At National AIDS Trust, we would like our application process to be as accessible as possible. Please speak to us about any reasonable adjustments that you might require throughout the interview process or the role.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
