What will you be doing as Head of Communications and Engagement?

• Own YHA’s corporate narrative, tone of voice and organisation‑wide communications strategy

• Lead integrated internal and external communications that strengthen brand, impact and income growth through a period of strategic transformation.

• Develop and deliver strategic messaging to support YHA’s organisational transformation and long‑term objectives

Tenancy Support & Financial Wellbeing Project Worker

Wintercomfort works with people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or with a history of homelessness. We provide services to aid every stage of recovery -from immediate basic welfare needs to long term help in identifying and dealing with the problems which are undermining their stability, and enabling them to engage with education, employment and specialist health services.  National statistics rank the numbers of rough sleepers in Cambridge within the highest 20 UK local authorities. 

Wintercomfort is the only day-time service in the city, providing year-round advice and support for homeless or vulnerably housed people. Over the past three decades Wintercomfort has continued to grow and adapt to meet the needs of the homeless community. 

Our specialist Housing Team provides expert advice and support to help people successfully navigate the search for housing and crucially, support them to sustain life away from the street. 

About you and the Role 

As a member of Wintercomfort’s Project Worker Team, reporting to the Senior Tenancy Support Officer the Tenancy Support & Financial Wellbeing Project Worker is responsible for delivering Wintercomfort’s specialist range of 1:1 Pre and Post Tenancy Support, implementing proactive, holistic strategies designed to prevent people from losing their homes, whilst simultaneously providing them with the financial tools and capability needed to sustain stability, aimed at empowering Service Users to move out of the spiral of homelessness and back into mainstream society, preventing homelessness and foster financial inclusion.

Key Responsibilities 

• To provide emotional and practical support and assistance to prepare and assist Service Users to move into accommodation once a placement is confirmed, working with internal and external colleagues. To work in a flexible manner within Wintercomfort and the wider community to provide outreach and support services in person, occasionally in exceptional circumstances this could include in their own home when accompanied with external partners also includes via text, email, telephone and video calls.   
• To provide a wide range of resettlement-based support along with the Senior Tenancy Support Officer to ensure Service Users access the most suitable housing pathway for their individual needs. To take the lead on all housing related referrals for Service Users. To ensure all suitable Service Users are registered and supported on Homelink. 
• To provide crucial assistance to tenants, focusing on maintaining tenancies, managing money and debt and improving overall financial stability – including, signposting, budgeting, welfare benefits checks, rent arrears support, setting-up and managing utilities, housing related life skills, offering guidance and support to enable Service Users to maintain their own homes, aiming to prevent eviction and enhance quality of life. 
• To provide on-going long term tenancy support to Service Users moving into independent living, this includes private rental housing or alternative housing pathways without any on site support. To assist with hand over post tenancy support to accommodation providers at a suitable point in the Service User support pathway, with the aim of enabling long-term independence.
• To ensure all Service Users have access to external grants and any available funding to support their individual needs to maintain their accommodation. Signposting and assisting with applications for funding to assist people moving into accommodation are supported with the appropriate items: floor coverings, white goods, basic furniture and home furnishings. 
• To support residents to keep their current homes, including mediation with landlords, accessing legal support on evictions, addressing anti-social behaviour, identifying high risk groups targeting support towards vulnerable groups such as those fleeing difficulties, leaving prison, hospital or care systems. 
• To ensure that accurate records are kept, documenting the support services provided to Wintercomfort’s service users onto the Salesforce/Inform system. Ensuring that record keeping meets the requirements of internal and external monitoring of outcomes, assisting with reports and case studies to the fundraising team.

About this role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the Director of Income and Engagement, you will play a key role in securing and sustaining income to enable Carers First to grow its support and impact for carers. Your responsibilities would include: -

• Identifying, assessing and managing commissioned contract and funding opportunities aligned to Carers First’s strategic aims, maintaining a clear and intelligence‑led pipeline.

• Leading the development of compelling, high‑quality and cost‑effective bids and proposals for carers services and support (including re-securing existing contracts). Working with services, co-ordinating bid plans and bid teams to ensure a consistent, unified approach.

• Supporting the mobilisation of new contracts and services.

• Supporting delivery of the Income Generation Strategy, including leading on larger Trust, Foundation and grant applications where appropriate.

• Building effective relationships with commissioners, funders and partners to support business development and market engagement.

• Using quality, insight, outcomes data and carers’ feedback to strengthen bids, inform service improvement and support the development of innovative service models that improve outcomes for carers.

About you

To be successful in this role you will bring a strong mix of business development expertise, Local Authority commissioned contract success, sector knowledge and collaborative working, alongside a commitment to improving outcomes for carers, with;

• A strong track record of securing new Local Authority commissioned contracts and re securing existing contracts, with experience of commissioning and procurement processes in health, social care or the voluntary sector.

• Proven experience of leading bid development activity and bid teams, producing high quality, persuasive proposals within tight deadlines.

• Experience of senior stakeholder engagement and relationship management with commissioners, funders and partner organisations.

• A good understanding of health and care systems, including Local Authority and Integrated Care System priorities and pressures.

• Experience of service design and service improvement, working collaboratively with multi disciplinary teams and people with lived experience.

• Excellent organisational, programme and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to analyse insight and impact data and translate this into learning, improvement and compelling cases for support.

PURPOSE OF POST: 

To provide structured housing related support to tenants of Mind in Gwent Supported Housing, and floating tenancy support to people experiencing mental health difficulties. 

To act as keyworker providing practical and emotional support, advice, information and advocacy towards the goal of achieving greater independence in the community. 

To liaise with a range of statutory and voluntary professionals and organisations to maximise resources for the client. 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Deliver person-centred housing related intervention to clients which promotes their mental wellbeing and independence whilst supporting to progress toward a life without the need for support. To work with clients in a manner which promotes autonomy to assess their own needs and develop and create individual personal support and plans to achieve their identified goals.

To network effectively with voluntary and statutory agencies to promote the needs of the clients.

Working with clients so that they have the knowledge, understanding and skills to access services and support with the aim to improve their mental wellbeing and resilience. 

Provide support to clients in accessing benefits and housing-related assistance, when applicable, to enhance their income and housing opportunities. Stay informed about current Social Security policies and housing legislation, ensuring clients are referred to specialist advisors when necessary. 

Focus on client involvement ensuring that clients have their views heard and that the needs and wishes, individually and collectively, are respected in the services and support provided. 

Work as part of the Housing and Tenancy Support Team and the wider Mind in Gwent Team to develop and deliver activities that achieve positive outcomes for Mind in Gwent tenants or clients receiving tenancy support. 

Ensure all work is recorded and monitored to achieve outcomes and contribute to performance management on an individual, team and organisational basis.

Mind in Croydon is seeking a motivated, empathetic and person-centred Mental Health Personal Independence Co-ordinator (MHPIC) to support adults experiencing mental health challenges to live independently and access the resources and services they need within their local communities. The MHPIC will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) within the Integrated Neighbourhood Team (INT) framework. You will provide one-to-one support to individuals, helping them develop Personal Recovery Plans and Action Plans using Open Dialogue approaches, navigate local services, and build confidence and autonomy. The role involves community-based support, home visits, and liaison with carers, families, and a range of health, council, and voluntary sector professionals. You will act as a named keyworker, supporting individuals over a defined period to achieve their recovery goals and improve their mental health and wellbeing.

About Action Tutoring
At Action Tutoring, we believe every child should be given the opportunity to succeed in school. But in the UK today, young people from disadvantaged backgrounds are less likely to 

achieve the grades they need to progress in life. This isn't because they are any less able; they have less access to the tools to help them reach their potential. 
 

We don't think this is fair. We know tutoring is an effective way of improving academic attainment and so we harness the power of volunteer tutors to bridge the gap and ensure this help can be accessed by every pupil who needs it, not just those who can afford it. 
 

We specifically help pupils facing socio-economic disadvantage and who are at risk of leaving primary or secondary school without reaching national standards in their exams. We work in partnership with schools in different cities and regions across the UK, delivering weekly tutoring in English or maths to those pupils who need it most.

Action Tutoring has a Head of People & Culture who oversees day-to-day HR operations. However, with a permanent staff team of around 60, this role holds strategic responsibility for talent development and HR processes. Senior Leadership 

As one of the four members of the Senior Leadership Team of Action Tutoring, you will contribute to leadership decision-making, representing your own areas of expertise but also advocating for the best strategic options for the charity as a whole.

Line management

Overseeing a small team, this role has direct line management responsibility for the Head of People & Culture, the Operations Manager, and the Senior Finance Officer. Qualifications criteria: 

• The right to work in the UK.

We are looking for some of the following attributes, though you might be more experienced in some areas than others:

• Deep finance and operations experience as well as a track record of strategy development. You will have significant experience overseeing finances and managing budgets and be able to demonstrate a high level of understanding of financial management and forecasting within a fundraising setting. Familiarity with charity accounting and SORP will be essential. 
• Someone with the ability to see the big picture and lead long-term strategy while being able to zoom into the detail and set high-expectations for the team and wider organisation.

You’ll be leading the Trust’s Landscapes Recovery team within the Nature Recovery Directorate, reporting to the Director of Nature Recovery. 

About the role

This role will lead and manage the Trust’s Landscapes Recovery team, working alongside the Rivers Recovery Manager, and a range of external partners to develop new funding mechanisms and facilitate delivery of nature recovery schemes at scale across Hertfordshire & Middlesex. The postholder will also work closely with the Trust’s Nature Reserves Manager to ensure a coordinated and strategic approach to our nature recovery work, both on our reserves and in the wider urban and rural landscape.

Our team is growing and we're looking for a skilled, people-focused coordinator to join us in making a real difference for young carers across Dorset.

We are recruiting an Employability Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and deliver our Employability Programme, supporting young carers aged 14 to 25 through key transitions from school into further education, higher education, and work. 

This is more than a programme delivery role. You'll be the primary point of contact for day-to-day activity, building trust with young carers, partnering with schools, colleges, and employers, and making sure every young person gets a consistent, high-quality experience. 

You'll play a key role in growing the programme's reach and impact, designing workshops and events including our Employability Celebration Event and Careers Convention, facilitating our TEMPO group for 14- to 25-year-olds, and opening up 'days in the workplace' that show young carers what's possible.

About the role

The People and Culture Business Partner provides senior operational leadership for employment policy, employee relations, and compliance across staff, volunteers and sessional workers, ensuring that the organisation’s HR frameworks are legally defensible, consistently applied, and aligned with organisational values. The postholder leads on complex ER casework, develops and maintains HR policies, and ensures that redundancy, redeployment and performance management processes are fair, transparent, and compliant with statutory requirements.

The role provides assurance that workforce planning, role design and job evaluation outcomes are legally sound; that recruitment, onboarding, and mobilisation frameworks meet safeguarding and equal opportunities obligations; and that volunteer and sessional worker policies are compliant with Investors in Volunteers and employment law. It also ensures pay and benefits policies are defensible, payroll-linked ER issues are managed appropriately, and redundancy/redeployment payments comply with legislation.

By combining policy ownership with expert ER leadership, the postholder strengthens organisational resilience, mitigates legal and reputational risk, and provides Senior Management Team (SMT) and trustees with confidence that HR operations are compliant, auditable and applied consistently across the organisation.

We are seeking a highly efficient, collaborative professional with a keen eye for detail to work closely with the CEO in a supporting role. This role will be critical to the functioning and effective governance of the organisation, providing a broad range of support as required. Tasks will be varied and will involve both supporting our frontline functions and assisting with back-office admin, ranging from providing a compassionate response to people dropping into our office for support or dealing with telephone queries from vulnerable migrants, to processing invoices and assisting in the drafting of fundraising applications.

This is a new post to support efficient administration at HMC, ensuring the smooth running of HMC’s office and providing essential support to the CEO.

We are a busy team supporting a large number of vulnerable people and working hard to deliver impactful services in a challenging external environment. In a small team with limited resources, we all wear multiple hats and this will be a varied and busy role juggling tasks across multiple areas.

This role offers a rewarding opportunity for a highly organised person who is as comfortable delivering public-facing services as they are working alone in deep focus to complete an administrative task or write a report.
