Main Duties

• Work collaboratively with partners to foster and create an effective and efficient programme management culture and embed best practices to support the optimal delivery of strategic initiatives. This includes continuing to innovate and strengthen the way in which ClientEarth engages with partners, especially in light of the decolonizing aid agenda. 
• Responsible for effective programme management of regional projects—including contract and budget oversight—to deliver efficient, value-for-money, and sustainable outcomes throughout the project lifecycle, working with colleagues across programmes to ensure plans and impacts are timely and aligned with strategic objectives. 
• Support cross-partner regional collaboration, strategy, and planning to achieve consortium goals, while championing creative facilitation techniques and interactive group exercises in both online and in-person settings. 

Role requirements

• Fluent (CEFR level C2) in English

• Proven, extensive experience managing complex, multi-country programmes in the not-for-profit sector, including oversight of substantial six- to seven-figure budgets and coordination with diverse internal and external stakeholders

Open Rights Group (ORG) is recruiting for a Pre-Crime Programme Manager

The Pre-Crime Programme Manager leads our work on predictive policing and surveillance within the criminal legal system and counter-terrorism policy, with a particular focus on raising awareness of, and challenging, the impact on over-policed and over-surveilled communities.

They are responsible for the development and implementation of the Pre-Crime programme, working with the Senior Management Team (SMT) and other staff to expand the programme’s profile, network and funding opportunities.

As a Programme Lead, they will also be responsible for working with the SMT and other Area or Programme leads to further develop and uphold ORG’s values and collaborative working culture. They will be recognised as an issue-expert and senior leader within the organisation.

Activities

This is a permanent position at Open Rights Group, and we have secured a number of project grants to deliver the following activities:

• Lead and manage the Safety Not Surveillance (SNS) Coalition, the UK’s only coalition fighting to prohibit AI- and data-driven predictive policing. SNS brings together grassroots partners with national organisations to build power in communities, secure media coverage, engage decision-makers and mobilise those with lived experience.

• Develop detailed policy positions on the deployment of AI and data-driven technologies by private and public actors in criminal justice, immigration and national security.

• Advocacy to encourage decision makers, including MPs, Lords, Government departments and the Information Commissioner’s Office, to adopt ORG’s and the coalition’s recommendations.

• Conduct campaigns that raise awareness of the threats posed to people’s digital rights by the data-driven technologies in policing and counter-terrorism, as well as more broadly.

• Through research and FOIs, help build a legal case with our partners against covert Police-led pathways under Prevent, the UK’s counter-terrorism programme.

• Opportunities to campaign against digital ID, the Online Safety Act and to protect freedom of expression.

What we’re looking for

You might be knowledgeable on the current and emerging technologies impacting policing and the criminal justice system.

You will have outstanding interpersonal and organisational skills and have the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with younger and older people. You understand why safeguarding is critical to our participants and seek to create safe, engaging spaces for people to learn together.

Ideally you have experience of managing intergenerational or multi-generational projects, however if you don't have intergenerational experience then strong experience of working with older people and young people/children separately is required.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU:

Lead facilitation of intergenerational sessions

Taking responsibility for the high-quality delivery of the session, leading activities from the front, delegating tasks to and managing a supporting volunteer if appropriate. The lead facilitator will endeavor to involve everyone present in the session, be responsible for ensuring that InCommon’s safeguarding procedures are followed and that any incidents are handled appropriately. 

Building and maintaining strong relationships with people of all ages 

Using your excellent communication skills you’ll build strong relationships with everyone taking part in an InCommon programme, from children and older people to primary school teachers and staff working at retirement homes. This role may involve communication before and after the session with parties taking part; where this is the case it will be clearly communicated by the Senior Programme Manager. 

A lead facilitator should be someone who can

• Engage a roomful of people over fun, creative and conversation-based activities

• Is reliable, trustworthy and can commit to monthly term-time sessions

• Is sensitive to the needs of young people and older adults, understanding the variety of needs they may have

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US:

You will be contracted on a rolling contract to deliver ‘blocks’ of intergenerational workshops. These may take place over variable locations across London and indicatively will be in held on the same days each month. We arrange the sessions and take care of all the marketing, driving engagement and managing bookings for you.

City Year UK is seeking an experienced and motivated Corporate Partnerships Manager to drive new business and nurture existing corporate relationships.

Join a youth and education charity which empowers diverse 18 to 25-year-olds to tackle educational inequality through a year of full-time volunteering in schools. As mentors, tutors and role models in schools, our volunteers support children who are furthest away from opportunity in the UK.

The Role

This role is central to building a strong, sustainable income pipeline and increasing support for our programmes.

You will:

· Identify, cultivate, and secure new corporate partnerships to grow income and impact.

The Communications team currently includes four people who work across the full breadth of Opportunity Green’s work, making sure our messages are communicated clearly to the right audiences at the right time. We are now looking for a Digital and SEO Manager to develop and deliver Opportunity Green’s digital and SEO strategy, ensuring our online presence effectively reaches, engages and inspires audiences.

What’s the role? 

The Digital and SEO Manager will report to Opportunity Green’s Communications Director. By harnessing data-driven insights and optimising our digital platforms, the Digital and SEO Manager will strengthen our communications impact and support the organisation’s mission to fill the gaps that others miss on climate change. You will also support the Comms Director in managing the communications team and their team projects, including direct line management of a multimedia-focused team member.

This is a new role to OG and it comes at an exciting time, when we are about to launch our new website. You will play a pivotal part in helping our website content reach the right audiences, monitoring its performance and developing it even further. 

Our Communications team supports all the workstreams and projects at Opportunity Green, spanning aviation, shipping, steel, agriculture, strategic litigation, climate justice, company coalitions, external partnerships and The SASHA Coalition, which is facilitated by OG and has a separate online presence. You will therefore need to be a great collaborator who is used to multitasking, a quick thinker and able to respond to situations as they arise. As the only employee dedicated to digital, you will be a strategic thinker who can shape our approach to emerging digital trends, while also being comfortable implementing the ideas you develop.

About the candidate

• A passion for using their digital skills and SEO knowledge to tackle climate change.

As Finance and Operations Manager at Fight Bladder Cancer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and building our finance and operational functions at a strategic level.

You will support all aspects of the charity’s work and development through the provision of strong financial assistance - ensuring accurate financial reporting, sales and other invoicing, bookkeeping, grant management and payroll management.

You will also take day-to-day responsibility for organisational administration.
