Accountabilities

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love, companionship and emotional support. This is coupled with the provision of emotional and practical support services for anyone with hearing loss.
Following a strategic review, the charity is now entering an exciting period of growth and expanding their Individual Giving programme within the Performance Marketing and Communications Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK.
Playing a pivotal role in this transformation, the Head of Acquisition will drive sustainable income growth through innovative, data-driven acquisition campaigns targeting new supporters, donors, lottery players and legacy pledgers that deepen engagement and bring the charity’s brand story to life. The role will ensure that every acquisition activity clearly communicates the impact of Hearing Dogs’ work, connecting supporter action to life-changing outcomes for people who are deaf or have hearing loss. We are looking for a Trusts Manager to join our High Value Relationships team and help secure transformational funding for our work with disabled people with complex needs. This is a hybrid role, working 2-3 days in our London office.
Working closely with the Head of High Value Relationships and colleagues across Sense, you will contribute to the development and delivery of our high value fundraising strategy. The two Assistant Vergers and Precinct Officers carry out a wide range of duties under the direction of the Head Verger and Precinct Manager. Work includes: the careful setting up and delivery of all liturgical matters; ensuring a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for all working in, visiting, or using the Cathedral and Cathedral House and precinct and ensuring the day-to-day smooth running of the Cathedral for all.

Purpose of the role
As Education and Events Manager, your primary responsibility is to support the Head of Education and Events in driving and delivering the strategic objectives of the department.
