Equal Education is a social enterprise working to improve outcomes and narrow the attainment gap for disadvantaged and vulnerable learners, including Children Looked After, those with SEND, and unaccompanied asylum seeking children. We have over 13 years’ experience delivering 1:1 tuition, working with hundreds of Schools and Local Authority partners across the country, reaching hundreds of pupils annually.
As a member of the Fair Education Alliance, we believe in providing meaningful educational provision to students whose needs may not be best met within a traditional classroom environment, those who aren’t currently accessing education, or who benefit from additional 1:1 support. We work with over 200 qualified teachers to provide academic, subject specialised and individual tutoring and mentoring for children of all ages. Tutors provide pastoral care and work with pupils to increase engagement and attainment. What is the Role?
This is a fixed-term maternity cover opportunity for a Partnerships Account Manager. In this role, you will drive business growth by securing new partnerships and managing key client accounts across designated regions. With a focus on building and sustaining long-term local council and school relationships, you will work closely with clients to understand their needs, expand our service offerings, and ensure the highest levels of satisfaction. As the majority of our key client relationships are with local councils, we are looking for someone with knowledge of how they operate.

Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management
Proactively seek new business opportunities within assigned regions to grow the client base.

Manage and track client data and prospect pipelines using CRM systems, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
Report to the the Partnerships Director on accounts, Tenders, Bids, client meetings on a regular basis.

Line Management and Support Coordination
Lead, mentor, and manage junior member(s) of the team focused on bid/application writing, tender management, and client-related administration.

Provide oversight to ensure that administrative tasks are completed efficiently, supporting smooth client interactions and consistent follow-through.

Bid Management and Process Improvement
Oversee the preparation and submission of tenders and bid applications, working closely with junior member(s) to ensure high-quality and timely submissions.

Essential Skills and Experience:
Detailed knowledge of the UK education sector.
Experience working in the education sector or with local authorities, particularly in roles involving SEND or children’s services.
Proven track record in client relationship management, with experience in sales or partnership development roles.
Strong communication skills, particularly in face-to-face and telephone interactions, with the ability to build rapport quickly and maintain long-lasting relationships.
Experience managing a small team, providing leadership, direction, and support to ensure high-performance standards.
High level of empathy and commitment to supporting vulnerable and underserved communities.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet both short- and long-term deadlines effectively.
Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) for tracking client data, leads, and progress.

Able to work in a high pressure environment, whilst taking initiative, we would want the postholder to ask for support when needed.
Desirable:

Almshouses to be recognised as the exemplar model of community housing
As Service Manager, you will lead Visiting Housing Support services in South West Edinburgh.
You’ll lead a team of eight staff and support people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or in unsuitable accommodation. The support will focus on empowering people to sustain their tenancies and live well in stable housing.
You’ll be managed by the Head of Services and work within a peer group of 7 other managers across the organisation. This service is delivered in partnership with Right There and you’ll work with colleagues across the partnership, sharing a responsibility to develop and embed our partnership approach.
Overview
This service is commissioned by City of Edinburgh Council and is in year 2 of a 10 year contract. Your team will support 300-400 people each year through phone support, direct meetings in people’s homes, running drop in sessions and visiting shared houses and other temporary accommodation. Your team will help people understand how to bid for housing; help them access benefits; signpost services to help them with additional concerns including mental health support; and, when the time comes, your team will support them to set up their tenancy in a sustainable way.

You will lead and line manage a team of eight practitioners and administrative support creating a high-performing, values-led culture where staff feel motivated, supported, and clear in their roles.
Delivering the service
You are responsible for all aspects of service delivery, from referral to sign off and everything in between.

Partnership working is key to the success of this role and this service. You’ll play a key role in developing partnerships and continuously improving the service—working closely service providers in the local area, the local authority and other stakeholder to strengthen collaboration, identify opportunities to provide support, and drive better outcomes for the people facing homelessness.
The key partnership however, is the relationship with Right There.
Four Square work with Right There to deliver visiting housing support in the West of the city. Right There are the lead partner and provide the service in the North West, while Four Square operate in the South West. We share some resources and benefit from the support and guidance of a Locality manager based in Right There. We’re currently recruiting a part-time (17.5 hours per week) Counselling Service Manager to manage the Charity’s Croydon counselling service and work with colleagues across our services in Croydon, Merton and Sutton. For this post you need to have a counselling/mental health qualification along with extensive clinical and management experience. We are also looking for people with an open and flexible attitude; excellent engagement skills and a passion for working with children and young people around mental health.
Responsibilities include supporting less experienced staff and supporting the cohesive working between services within the charity. In addition, you will be offering a flexible range of short-term and longer-term mental health interventions to children and young people aged 14-25 including individual support; crisis support and mental health themed activities. The post has scope and opportunity for developing new initiatives and ways of working to support young people’s mental health across South London.
All posts are fully office based and will require flexible working across service areas and interventions and will involve some regular evening and/or weekend work to meet the needs of young people.

As Deputy Finance Manager, you will:
- Support the bedding-in, optimisation, and documentation of the new finance system (Iplicit) and associated processes

- Support the preparation and review of management accounts and in-year and long-range forecasts for the CEO and Board
- Meet the EACR’s VAT compliance obligations across multiple registrations and jurisdictions, with the support of the existing Finance Manager
- Assist with audit preparation and liaison with auditors for the 2026 year-end
The successful applicant will:
- Have demonstrable experience within finance, ideally with charities, membership organisations, or complex not-for-profit environments, in a similar role
- Be AAT Level 4 qualified (or equivalent) and ideally studying towards qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Have experience supporting external audit processes and responding to audit queries
- Have strong technical accounting skills, including VAT compliance
- Have hands on experience of working with complex finance systems and processes
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
