We are looking for a part-time Membership Officer, who will be working alongside our existing part-time Membership Officer. Together, you will lead on administrative support of our membership functions. Reporting to our Operations Manager, the post holder will be responsible for the administrative functions that support the smooth running and ongoing success of the organisation around membership. This role will work Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and will work one day a week in our office in Archway, London (Tuesdays).

This is an interesting and varied role that acts as a first 'point of contact’ for the people we work with (such as Member Institutions, Registrants and queries from members of the public), as well as managing the administrative aspect of memberships, such as setting up new Registrants on our CRM system. The role also involves longer term project work such as overseeing the CPD audit and improving and growing membership processes.

We are looking for a committed and highly motivated individual with previous similar experience who is keen to join our small and friendly team. It’s important to us that the successful candidate will be in post for a substantial period. Occasionally this role would be asked to support at evening committee meetings or on Saturdays.

About this role 

This is an exciting opportunity for an Individual Giving and Legacy Assistant to join the Charity team here at Alder Hey, the UK’s busiest Children’s Hospital.

This role sits within the Individual Giving and Legacy team which includes an Individual Giving Fundraiser and a Legacy and In Memory Fundraiser. The role also works closely with colleagues across the community, marketing and finance teams to deliver supporter journeys, website content, and the smooth running of fundraising campaigns.

The post-holder supports the generation of income and delivers an excellent supporter experience. They ensure supporters and enquirers receive a prompt, warm, and appropriate response at every stage of their journey with the Alder Hey Children's Charity. 

The role is responsible for maintaining accurate supporter records on the Charity's CRM system (Salesforce), helping supporter administration (including Gift Aid, tribute pages, and regular giving processes), and assisting with the coordination of legacy enquiries, pledgers, and the free Will Writing service.  
 

Key Responsibilities will include: 

Administration, Processes and Data 

• Ensure supporter records are kept accurate and up to date on the charity's CRM (Salesforce). 

• Complete supporter administrative processes such as tracking and take actions on the cancelation of regular donations/lottery, setting up of tribute pages, and Gift Aid administration. 

• Provide administration support for the management of legacy enquirers, pledgers and actively track the progress of live legacy cases. 

• Provide administration support for the management of the free Will Writing service. 

• To help ensure pages on the charity’s website are kept up to date and work with the wider team to enhance those pages. 

• Monitor marketing resources, such as leaflets, to ensure stock levels are maintained. 

• Diary management, minute taking and meeting organisation. 

Stewardship 

• Deal with incoming enquires prioritising, re-directing, or responding in a timely, sensitive and appropriate manner. 

• Help deliver exceptional supporter care, ensuring that everyone who responds to the Charity's campaigns and appeals receives a warm, timely and meaningful thank you, helping to build long-term relationships with Alder Hey Children's Charity. 

• Process and action established supporter journey and activities across a variety of programmes. 

• Support the development and enhancement of supporter journeys. 

• Support the planning and delivery of all campaigns and activities, helping to inspire supporters to make a difference. 

• Assist with the arrangements for events to ensure that all supporters receive outstanding stewardship to establish long term commitment to the charity.

Job Title: Partnership Events Coordinator (Inspiring the Future)

Purpose: This is a fantastic opportunity to take on the role of Partnership Events Coordinator for Education and Employers on the internationally recognised Inspiring the Future programme. The Charity aims to ensure that all young people have the inspiration, motivation, knowledge, skills and opportunities they need to help them achieve their potential.

This key post is part of the Partnerships Team with responsibility for supporting the team to deliver various showcase virtual and face-to-face events and activities involving a diverse range of volunteers from the world of work. Job Purpose:

As Advice Casework Manager you will oversee both immigration and welfare & housing casework, managing casework allocation and maintaining rigorous standards across all work. IRMO’s Advice service provides trusted information, resources, advice and casework in Spanish and Portuguese on key areas of need, including immigration, welfare entitlements, housing and homelessness prevention. IRMO is accredited by the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) and the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) at Level 3. We are also members of Advice UK and receive second-tier support from Southwark Law Centre.

As part of our Advice for All partnership, you will oversee the delivery of our Advice Workforce Development Programme, working in close collaboration with our partner organisations. The Finance and Operations Officer is responsible for day-to-day financial processing, HR administration and operational coordination. The role ensures accurate financial records, smooth administrative processes and effective support for staff across the Society. The postholder works closely with the Finance Manager to maintain strong financial controls, support compliance, and contribute to the efficient running of the organisation.

The Finance and Operations Officer liaises with all areas of the Society and helps provide reports and documentation to the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee and Council. They are line managed by the Finance Manager.

Main Responsibilities

Financial Processing

• Process purchase invoices, staff expenses, credit card transactions and supplier payments.
• Manage Society credit cards and bank accounts under the oversight of the Finance Manager.
• Deposit payments (sterling and dollars) and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare payment runs and upload payment files in line with dual authorisation procedures.

The Finance Manager is responsible for the overall management and delivery of the finance function for CPA UK. You will be responsible for financial modelling and analysis, management of finance data and preparation of the accounts in readiness for the annual external audit. This role is perfect for an experienced fundraiser ready to own the individual giving and gift in Wills strategy end to end. You will set the direction for donor communications, appeals and the legacy pipeline, taking responsibility for income from individual donors and KPIs while working closely with the Head of Income Generation and Engagement to contribute to the overall income generation and engagement strategy.

You will take the lead in developing, testing, learning and growing the direct marketing programme and developing supporter journeys both online and offline. You’ll develop our email marketing and online supporter journeys for now and the future.

Key responsibilities:

• Experience of working in a senior individual giving, direct marketing, community, or general fundraising role.
• Demonstrable track record of delivering sustained income growth and establishing new programmes of activity.
