About the Role:
The Senior Data and Insight Scientist provide analytical leadership across Lloyd’s Register Foundation, ensuring that data and evidence are robust, meaningful, and usable for decision‑making and impact.
The role bridges deep technical expertise with clear insight translation, supporting flagship programmes including the World Risk Poll and the Global Safety Evidence Centre.

Context of role:
The Outreach Officer plays a key role in raising awareness of services, strengthening community
partnerships and supporting the delivery of high-quality bereavement support activities across the
region. The postholder will engage with local networks, coordinate events, and support volunteers while ensuring effective monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement.
This role sits initially within Shropshire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire, but will expand to support phase 3 of the expansion which will include the West Midlands, Warwickshire and
Staffordshire.
Key responsibilities:
Support Service:
1. Event Coordination and Delivery
1.1: Coordinate and deliver regular community engagement activities, including; coffee mornings and
support events.
1.2: Organise and facilitate regular wellbeing and social activities, such as; walks or group sessions.

1.4: Co-lead on bookings and coordination of Ty Uchaf, our respite house.

Scope of the role
You will manage and successfully deliver key events including the London Marathon, Great North Run and London Landmarks Half Marathon, as well as third party and DIY challenge fundraising. You’ll lead on supporter recruitment and stewardship to meet or exceed agreed targets, while keeping budgets, income and performance on track, as well as maintaining accurate supporter data. You will have the ability to analyse financial information and present this in a suitable format for the audience. You will have good ability to meet deadlines, be IT literate with an emphasis on financial systems, spreadsheets, Quickbooks and Excel. The role will involve the management of the day-to-day financial activities, VAT, gift aid, payroll and the monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations and statutory accounts preparation. The job holder will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Finance Officer and volunteers within the team. There will be a requirement to work closely with the income generating staff, budget holders, auditors, banks and credit card providers on a regular basis. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the Finance Officer and Finance volunteer.

You will work closely with victims of domestic abuse from the point of crisis and other gender-based abuse to provide high quality independent support to survivors all risk levels and their children..
In this role you will be part of a busy team. You will be the first point of contact for survivors who have been referred to the Gaia Centre. The duty IGVA will be responding to daily enquiries (specify from whom- public, agencies, individuals? over the phone and email as well as contacting survivors, assessing their risks and needs.
The duty IGVA will be responsible for carrying out and implementing safety plans and needs and will ensure an effective handover to the over to the relevant GAIA team for ongoing support. The post holder will also empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. You will ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options. The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors.
As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.
