Responsibilities of the Senior Management Accountant: 

- Facilitate and manage the budget and forecast process for your assigned Directorate 

- Produce and review the monthly management accounts and reports for your Directorate, providing insight and analysis on key variances, risks and opportunities affecting the charity 

- Utilise financial and non-financial data to provide timely reports giving insight and expertise to support well-informed financial decision-making and delivery of the charity’s plans

About the Finance team: 

The Finance team plays a vital role in the organisation’s success by ensuring sound financial management and a greater level of informed decision making to support the delivery of the overall strategy of the charity.  The Management Accountant team are a team of five reporting into two Senior Management Accountants, all of whom support the Head of Budgeting and Reporting. The wider Finance team includes Operational Finance consisting of Financial Accountants, Accounts Payable, Systems, Payroll and Branch Finance. 

What we’re looking for in our Senior Management Accountant: 

- Fully qualified CCAB accountant 

- Experience leading a team of qualified Management Accountants 

- Experience in project accounting, specifically capital and change projects 

- Experience working in a Senior Management Accountant role in a large organisation (250+ employees) working with budget holders as well as providing support and advice around financial management issues 

- Excellent people management, communication and organisational skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships 

- Experience using appropriate accounting software and systems/ERP systems 

- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office – particularly in Excel

Join us as the Senior Remediation Legal Compliance Manager and play a pivotal leadership role in ensuring Peabody's fire remediation programme remains legally compliant, well-governed and aligned with evolving building safety legislation.

About the role

As Senior Fire Remediation Legal Compliance Manager, you'll lead Peabody's Fire Remediation Legal Compliance function, setting the standards, governance framework and assurance processes that underpin our fire remediation programme. 

You'll be responsible for ensuring the programme operates within its legal obligations arising from contracts, legislation, leases, grant funding agreements and third-party arrangements. You'll also lead delivery of the Cladding Safety Scheme grant funding requirements, working closely with Homes England, internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure compliance, transparency and successful programme delivery. 

What You'll Do

• Lead, develop and inspire a team of eight through two direct-report managers, setting priorities and building capability across the legal compliance function.
• Own the delivery of the Cladding Safety Scheme grant funding requirements, including applications, reporting, administration and assurance activity.

We're looking for a talented Fundraising and Partnerships Manager to help deliver our growth ambitions. Working closely with the CEO and Senior Partnerships Manager, you'll play a key role in securing the funding and partnerships that enable Brightside to expand its reach and impact.

Overview 
The role of Foodbank Manager is to oversee the operations of the East Grinstead Foodbank, with concern for its efficiency and standards within the Trussell franchise.  This will include the strategic direction and financial sustainability of the Foodbank and with the wider team the reputation of the Foodbank and its partnerships with other voluntary organisations and governmental organisations. 

The Foodbank Manager reports to the Trustees, including submitting a report to, and attending Trustee meetings. 

Responsibilities 

Strategic Leadership 

• In co-ordination with the Trustees, to shape, implement and review the strategic development of the Foodbank, aligned with its mission, vision and values 

• Provide inspirational leadership to the staff, volunteers and stakeholders 

• Assess the evolving needs of the local community and identify opportunities for providing improved support

Management 

• Oversee operations, ensuring the effective delivery of the Foodbank’s services and adherence to its policies and procedures 

• Foster a positive and inclusive environment for the staff and volunteers 

• Promote collaboration with referral and other external agencies 

• Develop and maintain robust systems for data collection, analysis and reporting 

Advocacy and External Relations 

• Be the outward face of the East Grinstead Foodbank 

• Handle any media interviews or visits to the Foodbank 

• Give presentations on the Foodbank to community groups, donors and the public 

• Represent the Foodbank and Trussell with local Councils and local MPs 

• Liaise with other foodbanks in the region 

• Lead the Foodbank’s participation in Trussell and other campaigning

Fundraising and Financial Management 

• Develop and implement a fundraising strategy to secure food and financial donations to ensure the sustainability of the Foodbank 

• Cultivate relationships with donors, corporate partners and council/community partners to maximise financial support 

• Actively assist in fundraising, including attendance at events, completion of applications and appeals for food and funds

• Assist the Treasurer and Trustees in setting Budgets, monitoring financial performance and recording systems 

Compliance and reporting 

• Ensure compliance with the relevant statutory obligations of the CIO, including the Charities Commission, food standards, health and safety, safeguarding and the other policies of East Grinstead Foodbank 

• Ensure reporting systems are in place for stock and assetsof the Foodbank, including reports required by Restricted funders 

• Ensure compliance with the terms of the Trussell franchise, including the online data system and reporting of key indicators 

• Assist the Trustees in any Trusell or regulatory reporting requirements 

• Ensure staff and volunteers are aware of all relevant regulations and reporting requirements 

Staff and Volunteers 

• Line manage the part-time staff 

• Enable and ensure excellent coordination of and support for volunteers 

• Assist in the recruitment of new staff and volunteers

• Listen to and motivate volunteers

• Ensure that everyone who comes to East Grinstead Foodbank for help is treated with care and respect, has their needs listened to and is offered all possible assistance and signposting 

• Engage directly with Foodbank clients when required 

• Be present as regularly as necessary in open Foodbank sessions.

Foodbank Manager - Person Description 

Essential 

• Sympathetic to the Christian ethos of the Foodbank 

• Passionate about tackling poverty and its causes 

• Self-motivated and energetic, able to work independently

• Ability to lead, motivate teams of part-time paid staff and unpaid volunteers

Terms 

This is a permanent post.  It is subject to a six-month initial probationary period. 

The post is part-time, currently at 21 hours per week. 

Hours may be worked flexibly subject to agreement with the Trustees.

The Foodbank is based at Jubilee Community Centre, Charlwoods Road, East Grinstead, West Sussex RH19 2HL. 

Competitive salary for the charitable sector reviewed annually in January.

Holidays: Paid holiday entitlement of 5.6 working weeks (pro-ratafor part-time hours worked) during a complete holiday year.The Foodbank is closed on bank holidays and these will not count as holidays.

Communications & Community Coordinator

Purpose of the Role

The Communications & Community Coordinator is responsible for supporting the delivery of member communications, community engagement activities and administrative processes across the organisation.

The role combines content creation, digital communications, CRM administration and community engagement support, helping to ensure members are informed, engaged and connected with the life of the synagogue.

This is a hands-on coordination role focused on delivery and administration rather than communications or marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Communications and Content

• Create and schedule content across WLS social media channels.
• Design and produce newsletters, flyers, posters, brochures and other communication materials using Canva or similar software.
• Draft and distribute member communications, announcements and updates.
• Gather information from departments across WLS and coordinate regular e-bulletins and communications.

The role oversees financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, restricted fund management, audit and year end processes, investment oversight, HR administration, and operational workflows. The Finance Manager liaises with all areas of the Society and acts as the senior financial adviser to the Director, Treasurer, SMT and trustees. Main Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

• Lead financial strategy, reserves planning, long term forecasting and financial modelling.
