English for Action (EFA) is looking for a Partnerships Manager to grow the funding that powers our free, participatory ESOL classes for around 400 migrants across London. Our classes don't just teach English, they build the confidence and collective power people need to organise around housing and employment rights.

About the role

Working closely with our Fundraising Lead, you'll take real ownership of relationships with trusts, foundations and corporate funders, while helping shape how we diversify our income going forward. This is a role with genuine scope to bring your own ideas and see them through, not just execute someone else's plan.

You will:
- Write compelling grant applications, funding proposals and reports that win and retain funding
- Research and build a realistic pipeline of trusts, liveries and corporate foundations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing donors and prospects
- Contribute to EFA's fundraising strategy, including newer income streams such as statutory, corporate, individual giving, membership and events
- Liaise with our Executive Team, Hub Leads and Project Managers so funding proposals stay grounded in what's actually happening in our classrooms and communities
- Maintain accurate donor and grant records on Donorfy, and support monitoring and evaluation of project outcomes

About you

You don't need a degree, and you're not expected to tick every box, nobody does. We're looking for someone with a track record of successful grant writing, strong research and relationship-building skills, and the organisation to manage multiple funding deadlines at once. Knowledge of the UK charity sector and UK trusts and foundations is essential; experience with public sector or EU education funding is a bonus.

About EFA

English for Action provides free, participatory, empowering ESOL classes for migrants in London, spaces where students build community and organise collectively around issues like employment and housing rights. We're a national centre of good practice for a radical, participatory approach to ESOL, and we share this approach through training, research and partnerships. We're a team of 11 staff, a wider team of volunteers, and 7 trustees, run through shared leadership rather than a CEO, decisions are made collaboratively, and we aim for our structure to reflect that.

About the role

The successful candidate will join PAN UK's International Team at an important time. With our partners, we have recently secured a five-year grant from the Global Environment Facility (GEF) for a UNEP-led project to support the mainstreaming of organic cotton in Benin. PAN UK’s role will be to develop data reporting systems that measure impact and support the needs of donors, supply chain actors and national authorities.

The International Project Manager (Agroecology) will also support our projects with our partner, PAN Ethiopia, to support smallholder cotton and vegetable growers. This work enables us to co-create innovative tools and approaches that can be disseminated more widely.

This fixed term role will provide cover with the current position-holder is on secondment with another team. Within the Individual Giving team, the Fundraising Manager will have responsibility for the planning and delivery of activities that recruit new supporters and generate income. You will manage our supporter recruitment programme, ensuring we meet our targets, and promoting investment strategies to cost-effectively and sustainably grow our supporter base. This is a brand-new position within the charity, leading the digital product and experience capability and helping build more user-centred, accessible and evidence-led ways of working across the organisation.

You’ll shape how Stroke Association designs and continually improves digital products, journeys and services for people affected by stroke, supporters, volunteers and colleagues – using digital to help them extend their reach and influence, deepen engagement and grow income so that they can achieve greater impact for people affected by stroke.

The Communications and Narratives Lead will work closely with, and be line managed by, the Executive Director, who sets the strategic direction, editorial oversight and quality standards for WSC's communications.

The postholder will lead the day-to-day delivery of WSC's communications and narrative change activity, creating compelling content across digital, print and social channels, supporting media and press work, and playing a central role in delivering WSC's Communications Strategy. This is a lead role for someone who combines significant, demonstrable experience in communications with a genuine interest in organising, campaigning and movement-building. Key Responsibilities

Content & Channel Management

• Develop and deliver WSC's Communications Strategy, supporting the development of strong narrative framing for engaging with our base, allies and potential/moveble audiences at the local, regional and national levels.

• Lead the development of high-quality, values-led content across digital, print and offline channels, including the website, social media, email, newsletters, reports and campaign materials.

• Manage and maintain WSC's social media channels, including planning content calendars, growing engagement, and monitoring performance.

• Help organise and deliver worker and ally events (e.g. seasonal in-person events, message-testing sessions and framing workshops) that help refine WSC's messaging.

• Build and maintain relationships with allies and coalition partners, including trade unions, human rights and housing organisations, food and farming networks, professional bodies and community organisations, supporting joint statements, shared briefings and coordinated campaign activity.

• Work collaboratively with policy, casework and operations colleagues to ensure communications and movement-building activity supports organisational priorities.

Administration, Monitoring & Oversight

• Track and evaluate the effectiveness of WSC’s communications strategies, media coverage, and narrative change activities.

• Maintain up-to-date communications databases, including segmenting contacts on Mailchimp and other contact/CRM systems.

• Monitor, evaluate and report on communications and campaign performance, contributing to the evaluation of key moments against WSC's influencing aims.

• Ensure all communications and campaign activity complies with legal, regulatory, safeguarding, data protection (GDPR) and charity requirements.

• Manage freelancers, agencies or consultants (for example design or digital support) as directed by the Executive Director.

About you

You will be organised, resourceful and confident at turning stories and evidence into compelling fundraising content.

Fundraising experience is welcome, but transferable skills in communications, marketing, business development or supporter care are also valued.

• Experience in fundraising, communications, marketing or business development.

About the role

We are seeking an Operations and Facilities Assistant to work closely with the Head of Operations to ensure the effective and efficient running of the organisation’s administrative systems and day-to-day activities.

This role supports the work of the whole organisation – supporting on a wide range of administrative tasks across People, systems, IT, and building management.

The Operations & Facilities Assistant will often be the first point of contact for the internal staff ticket system, playing a key role in responding effectively to enquiries, as well as supporting key projects within the People & Operations team.
• Ensure cover in the building, as part of an agreed rota managed by the Head of Operations, acting as the first point of call for staff and visitors.
• Monitor inboxes and respond to incoming emails, fielding emails to relevant people in the organisation as required.
• Action tasks from our internal ticket system and shared mailboxes, across People, IT, systems, and facilities.
• Provide administrative support to HR functions such as supporting recruitment, on-boarding and offboarding.
• Order materials, including office and staff equipment, stationery and sundries
• Provide general facilities and building management assistance, as well as working across Health and Safety
• Report and liaise with contractors or external parties about any office and building repairs
• Support the Culture & Development Administrator with training and events through researching providers and booking venues
• Provide administrative support of individual projects as directed and delegated by the Head of Operations
• Provide general administration for staff and volunteers for expenses, IT support, office supplies, etc.

Location: Home-based, Macclesfield, Cheshire. However, extensive travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings) 

Hours: Part-time, 28 hours per week

Salary: Circa £22,600 per annum (FTE circa £28,300 per annum)

The Role

Reporting to the Service Delivery Coach, you will have the ability to support stroke survivors to identify their goals. Using strong assessment skills and a person-centred approach enabling them to maximise their recovery and improve communication.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
• Provide personalised information, advice and support.
• Supporting stroke survivors to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes.
• Work collaboratively with NHS colleagues and other areas of the community to make a difference in the lives of people affected by stroke.

About You

You will have experience in:

• Experience/background in a caring profession, ideally supporting people with disabilities
• Excellent IT skills and an ability to maintain accurate records.
• An affinity with the values of the Stroke Association.
• A flexible approach and an ability to effectively manage a caseload.

This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role
