About the role:
You will manage and develop a team of Business Development Managers, Business Development Officers and a Business Development Coordinator, creating a high-performing culture that promotes accountability, continuous improvement and learning.
You will play a critical part in driving excellence in the quality of bids, tenders and proposals. You will oversee competitive tendering activity, strengthening bid processes (involving further integration of AI tools), embedding effective quality assurance arrangements and ensuring submissions are compelling, compliant, evidence-based and clearly demonstrate the impact of Victim Support's services.
Success in this role will also depend on the ability to build strong and productive relationships across the organisation. We are looking for a dynamic, passionate and performance-driven Area Manager for Staffordshire, to lead and manage commissioned services for all victims of crime, including domestic abuse (all risk levels) and anti-social behaviour. The local services also work with those who harm through both the behaviour change and restorative justice services. All services support both adults and children/young people, and offer professional training, awareness and engagement activity. There are dedicated services to support domestic abuse victims/survivors within Safe Accommodation and at Family Court.
This role is full time, regular travel across the area is required and attending Area Manager and other Victim Support events that may be outside of area.

About the Role
As Area Manager you will oversee delivery of high-quality services across Staffordshire. This includes:
- Oversight of Operational Managers and the overall performance of the various services commissioned
- Developing service delivery/improvement plans and social value plans for each of the services
- Managing service budgets and identifying income generation and/or fundraising opportunities to support business development
- Driving continuous improvement of performance through use of data and other information to ensure teams perform to the highest standards at all times
- Building and leading external relationships promoting positive working relationships to ensure joint working and pathways that lead to the best possible standard of support and outcomes for service users
- Ensuring we listen to and co-design services to meet the needs of our service users, to a standard expected of our commissioners and partners.

You will represent the charity in an appropriate and professional manner to commissioners, stakeholders, external bodies and the media, whilst acting as a voice for victims to the wider community.

Location: The role is based at Oaklands Park, a 150-acre rural community situated near Newnham on Severn on the edge of the Forest of Dean. Our estate offers an eight-acre garden, wood workshop and a weavery/ craft workshop.
Hours: 2 roles available, 1 x 30 hours per week and 1 x 37.5 hours per week, generally Mon - Fri days, but we are flexible.
Salary: £25,740 - £29,367 FTE, dependent on skills and experience pro rata for part-time.

About the Role
As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will provide pro-active, high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic abuse through on-going risk assessment, providing individual safety planning, trauma-informed support, guidance, information, and advocacy and enabling victim/survivors to access the services they need in the aftermath of the abuse and trauma they have experienced.
You may work within a Hospital Trust's Safeguarding Team to support both patients and staff in an Acute Hospital setting, who have experienced Domestic Abuse. You will make initial contact with victims of domestic abuse, explaining our services and assessing the impact of crime, or receive referrals from colleagues, in order to provide on-going support and case management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess risks and needs using evidence-based checklists.
- Focus on high-risk cases with short to medium-term crisis intervention.
- Assist high-risk victims in accessing safety services.

The Difference you will make

Young People Support Worker
We are seeking a compassionate Young People Support Worker to help young people build the confidence and skills needed for independent living.
Salary: £11,734.40 per annum (FTE £29,336 per annum)

About the role
Join a close-knit and supportive team working tirelessly to ensure some of the borough’s most vulnerable young people receive the care and support they need.
As Young People Support Worker, you will support young people aged 18 to 25 living within a six-bed, low-support accommodation service. Working every Saturday and Sunday, you will help residents develop their confidence, resilience and independent living skills.
Your key responsibilities will include:
· Managing a caseload and acting as the named key worker for individual residents
· Completing risk and needs assessments and developing SMART, outcome-focused support plans
· Delivering one-to-one and group support within the accommodation and local community

About the role:
You will be talking to people on the telephone from a variety of different backgrounds, all with different experiences. No two days are the same & you will need to use your communication skills and resilient nature to help those dealing with trauma and the effects of crime, who may have gone through a life-changing experience. Previous experience is not required as you will receive robust training prior to working directly with clients. You will also receive ongoing support to ensure that you can provide victims with quick responses to meet their needs and help them cope and recover.
These roles are based in our Victim Care Unit in Ashford. You will be working shifts Monday to Friday between 8am and 4pm or 12pm and 8pm. Shifts are designated on a rota basis and scheduled well in advance so you can plan ahead. About the role
This role is based at our National Contact Centre in Cardiff. There will be an initial induction period that will run Monday to Friday 9am-5pm for a 4 week period. After successfully completing your induction, you will move to your fixed rota hours.
As a Helpline Adviser you will:
- Able to respond to victims of and those affected by crime by providing emotional support, information and referrals on to Victim Support services and other agencies
- Providing immediate support, advice and trauma first aid referrals to victims of and those affected by major incidents and terrorism.
- Seamlessly working across multiple services with different processes, procedures and recording mechanisms.
