This role is perfect for someone with a passion for social media communication, and a desire to engage audiences and inspire them to improve animal welfare globally.

You will be helping to run the social media channels of our CEO and Founder, Dr Luke Gamble, working as part of the Marketing Team at animal welfare charity, Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS). Your role will help raise awareness of the charities work, which in turn will mean more animals receive life-saving veterinary care.

You will take the lead on communication through our social media platforms for Luke, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. You will work closely with our Senior Marketing Executive and wider marketing team to create content tailored for each channel to ensure high levels of engagement, and audience growth.

This is a new role and offers a great opportunity for the right candidate. This role would be based at our office in Truro, Cornwall.

About Us

At Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS) we champion animal welfare around the world. We send vets where they are needed most, provide expert veterinary training in hard-to-reach places, and ship urgent aid supplies worldwide, every day of the year.

We deploy teams of vets and vet nurses, send equipment and supplies to help struggling organisations on the front line of animal welfare, and train vets at our international training centres in India, Thailand, Malawi, Cambodia and the Galápagos Islands.  We also work on strategic one health projects such as rabies elimination campaigns with Governments and NGOs all over the world. Our Mission Rabies project runs mass canine vaccination and community education in the world’s worst hotspots for the disease. Since the project began, over seven million dogs have been vaccinated against rabies and over thirteen million children have been educated in rabies prevention, protecting the lives of people and animals.

Last year, WVS helped an animal every 14 seconds. We trained over 4,800 vets, deployed teams of vets all over the world, and sent over 1,700 parcels of veterinary supplies to 261 charities in 71 countries.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Create engaging and informative content for Luke’s channels, including producing day to day content plans and supporting on campaigns.
• Work with the WVS film team to develop an annual content calendar and overarching strategy for the YouTube channel, tailored to appropriate audiences.
• Work with Luke to produce regular engaging video content.
• Analyse engagement data to provide insights and continuously improve communications.
• Manage the social media accounts on a day-to-day basis, including responding to comments and messages.
• Identify and liaise with influencers, brand ambassadors, and collaborators.
• Support the wider marketing team with campaigns and activity.
• Some evening and weekend working, to include travel, will likely be required.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 2+ years working in a marketing role with a focus on social media
• Experience in creating social media content for an individual/personal account.
• Experience in audience growth and analysis
• Basic knowledge of video editing
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work.
• Proficient in Microsoft packages - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• A passion for animal welfare
• A strong team player
• The ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends occasionally when the charity requires.
• The right to work in the UK.

About the Role

The Head of Business Development will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the organisation’s Business Development Strategy, leading the Business Development team to secure new opportunities, and ensuring the sustainability and growth of NYA’s income streams.

Key Responsibilities

As Head of Business Support, you will:

• Lead, motivate, and support the Business Development team to deliver ambitious growth targets.
• Develop and implement business development strategies to secure new commercial opportunities and funding from public, voluntary, and private sector partners.
• Spearhead new strategic initiatives for business development, identifying and pursuing innovative opportunities for growth and diversification.
• Build and maintain high-value relationships with clients, funders, and stakeholders, ensuring NYA’s offer is visible and compelling.
• Oversee the development and management of the sales pipeline, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
• Work closely with the Director of Growth to align business development activities with NYA’s strategic objectives.
• Engage directly with trustees, including managing the relationship with the Finance and Growth Committee, preparing reports, and presenting business development performance and strategy.
• Lead on market research, business planning, and the development of commercial proposals and pitches.
• Represent NYA at meetings, events, and conferences, promoting the organisation’s reputation and offer.
• Support the Director of Growth in reporting to the CEO and Board on business development performance and strategy.

Objective:

2wish exists to provide support to anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under.

Aims:

• Ensure every Emergency Department and Critical Care unit has a suitable bereavement suite
• Ensure that bereavement boxes are available at each of these hospitals
• Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide a professional counselling service and other therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide support to individuals who witness the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide support and training to professionals from any sector who may be affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• To advocate and campaign on behalf of suddenly bereaved families

2wish Cymru and 2wish:

2wish has been established since 2012 and has since grown from strength to strength. During this time, we have worked tirelessly to embed our service and ensure that the offer of support is made at the point of death.

We offer an immediate, consistent, high-quality and compassionate service to all individuals affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We work in partnership with professionals who refer into the charity on behalf of families, so they don’t have to trawl through the internet for an organisation who may, or may not, be able to support. We provide immediate, and ongoing, support and are here for as long as our families need us.

We were founded as a Welsh organisation providing immediate casework support, as well as ongoing aftercare services including counselling, alternative therapies, play therapy, support groups, support events and a respite cottage.

In January 2024, we expanded into ‘phase one’ England, namely Cheshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Somerset. And in July 2025 we expanded into ‘phase two’ England, namely Merseyside, Devon and Cornwall, Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Context of role:

The Business Services Officer provides high quality administrative and operational support across governance, IT, facilities, data protection, recruitment and general administration.

Working closely with the Head of Finance & Business Services, this role ensures the charity has strong internal systems, efficient processes, and compliant practices that enable staff to deliver services effectively and compassionately.

This role will support the whole organisation in both the office setting and our remote workers across England and Wales.

Key responsibilities:

Business Services and Operations

• Support the Head of Finance & Business Services in the effective running of business functions including HR, IT, governance, and office management.
• Maintain essential organisational policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring regular review cycles.
• Manage contracts with suppliers, service providers, and facilities contractors.

Staff support

• Assist department heads with recruitment processes including job adverts, application management, interview coordination, and onboarding.
• Maintain accurate and confidential HR files, absence records, training logs, and performance documentation on Bright HR.
• Support wellbeing initiatives and contribute to developing a positive, compassionate staff culture.
• Coordinate staff training, mandatory learning, and policy briefings.

Governance and Compliance

• Maintain statutory registers and ensure timely filing of required documents.
• Support risk management processes, including maintaining organisational risk registers.
• Assist with GDPR compliance, data audits, and data protection processes.
• Prepare policies for Board approval with the assistance of Peninsula.

Leadership and People Management

• Act as first point of contact for basic IT and systems issues, escalating when necessary.
• Support the effective use of Microsoft 365, CRM/databases, and operational software including educating others on effective usage.
• Project manage the development of NOVA – our CRM system.
• Liaise with IT providers to ensure smooth delivery of technical support, security, and digital improvements.
• Issue IT equipment required for work to all new employees and maintain asset register.
• Ensuring Cyber Security essentials is complete working with IT consultant ITCS.

Facilities and Office Management

• Oversee day-to-day management of office space, equipment, and environment. Monitoring potential growth of office spaces into England.
• Manage health & safety processes including risk assessments, incident logs, and mandatory checks.
• Monitor office supplies, equipment maintenance, and procurement.

Administration and Organisational Support

• Provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team where required.
• Maintain central records, filing systems, and registers to a high standard both electronically and paper based.

General:

• To be responsible for organising own work agenda, time management and administration.
• To adhere to all company policies and procedures including Safeguarding, Confidentiality, Health and Safety and Lone Working; and to be proactive in implementing new safe working practices as appropriate.
• To attend weekend and evening community events in support of the charity as necessary.
• Participate as and when required in team meetings and one-to-one meetings, and undertake, as appropriate, courses/training/other developmental activities, which is relevant to the role.

It is the nature of the work that tasks and responsibilities are in may circumstances unpredictable and varied. All employees are therefore expected to work in a flexible way and tasks, which are not specifically covered in their job description may have to be undertaken.

You will be subject to performance review, which will incorporate a review of the above duties and performance over the period. This role is subject to a DBS check.
