St. Hilda’s East (SHE) is a local charity which aims to combat the challenges arising from deprivation and social exclusion through the delivery of a wide range of engaging activities which promote wellbeing and social connections. Located in Tower Hamlets, our services include pre-school sensory play, youth programmes, social activities and support for older people, advice, a food co-operative, wellbeing activities for people experiencing mental health issues, and volunteering placements.

Founded in 1889 by alumnae of Cheltenham Ladies’ College, we now work from two sites – our large, friendly community centre located in Shoreditch and an Elders Day Centre for the Bangladeshi and other communities in Shadwell. At our Shoreditch community centre, we deliver a wide range of services, activities and events and provide office and meeting space for other organisations. We also manage 2 neighbouring buildings which are tenanted.

Job Purpose:

Working from St. Hilda’s East Community Centre in Shoreditch, the Facilities Assistant will support the Head of Operations, in the day-to-day running and improvement of SHE’s buildings and spaces – ensuring they are tidy, safe, clean, fit for purpose and welcoming. This will involve improving and implementing best practice procedures primarily regarding facilities and all elements of health and safety across both our sites - ensuring that we comply with regulatory standards.

To be successful, you must have experience:

• Proven experience delivering successful mass participation or challenge events, ideally within the charity sector.

• Excellent communication and relationship building skills, including supporter stewardship and partnership working.
• Experience managing budgets, logistics, and risk assessments for large scale events.
• Confident using digital tools and CRM systems to support event delivery and supporter journeys.

FFLAG is a national voluntary organisation and registered charity and is the UK’s longest established parent support charity in the LGBT+ sector. Our history began in the grassroots parent helplines of the 1960s, grew through the 1980’s and 90’s as we supported anxious parents and fought against the discrimination of Section 28, becoming a formally registered charity in 2000.

Our work sounds simple, but it is life changing. We help parents and families understand, accept and support their LGBT+ family members with love and pride.

We offer a range of support options spanning 121 online and helpline support services, to a UK-wide monthly group Zoom meeting and face to face local groups. We also have an extensive collection of online resources and guides.  We attend as many Pride events as we can and our work supports thousands of families every year. This support is provided by an active base of FFLAG volunteers who are parents of LGBT+ children themselves, supported by other volunteers and allies. 

In addition to our support work, FFLAG advocates for the full human and civil rights of LGBT+ individuals. FFLAG speaks out and acts to defend and enhance those human and civil rights. 

What this job is all about

Simply put, as Operations Manager you will ensure the charity's activities are effective, sustainable, and aligned with our mission to support families with LGBT+ members

Reporting directly to the Chair, working closely with the Board of Trustees and supported by a part-time Volunteer Engagement & Events Coordinator you will:

• Lead and supervise the daily operational functions, ensuring smooth and compliant delivery of services.
• Lead fundraising activities, including grant applications, donor stewardship, and partnership development.
• Manage and support staff and volunteers, nurturing a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture.
• Support the Trustees to ensure compliance with all relevant UK charity legislation and regulatory requirements (e.g., Charity Commission, safeguarding, risk management, data protection).
• Collaborate with the Chair and Board of Trustees to develop and implement strategic plans, with clear KPIs and measurable outcomes.

What else might you be involved in?

As the most senior employed position in the charity, we need an experienced operational leader that can grow with us. You will be self-motivated and enjoy working independently without the need for close supervision.  

In terms of specific areas of skill or experience we are looking for people who can demonstrate previous experience of:

• Operational Leadership: Demonstrable experience in a senior operations role, ideally within the charity or voluntary sector.
• Fundraising: Experience supporting or leading fundraising campaigns and developing income streams.
• Governance: Knowledge of UK charity governance and regulatory compliance.
• People Management: Confident in leading, motivating, and developing a small team and volunteers.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust as our new Project Manager - National Cycle Network, working within the Delivery Team to lead the successful delivery of active travel infrastructure projects.

We are looking for someone with exceptional project management skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. While some technical knowledge of active travel is important, the focus of this role is on leading complex projects, coordinating teams, and driving collaboration to achieve sustainable, high-quality outcomes.

As Project Manager - National Cycle Network (Network Development Manager), you will oversee the planning, delivery, and evaluation of projects that enhance the National Cycle Network (NCN) and related infrastructure. The Club operates a 180-berth marina, a busy clubhouse with a 7-day a week bar and restaurant, a varied programme of formal and social events, leased and listed buildings (including Grade 2* listed), and boat storage facilities.

With 500 members, 180 berth holders and an annual turnover of circa £1.1m, the new Club General Manager will be the most senior paid staff member and hold full responsibility for the Club’s performance, financial sustainability and day-to-day delivery. Working closely with the Commodore, Flag Officers and Committee, and supported by a management team, you will shape the overall member experience while ensuring the Club operates safely, efficiently and in line with its values and traditions.

This is a broad, hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same. You will oversee marina operations, hospitality services, estate and facilities management, governance and compliance, staff leadership and member engagement. You will have genuine scope to influence standards, develop people, improve systems and processes and ensure the long-term sustainability of a much-loved organisation.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for an experienced, people-oriented project manager who is excited to help us deliver and scale innovative data programmes. You will work directly with organisations from across the third sector to understand their missions and translate their challenges into well-scoped projects. You will also support teams of volunteer data experts to scope projects and deliver impactful data science solutions.

You don't need to write code or run analysis yourself, but you should be comfortable working alongside technical experts, asking the right questions to scope data projects, and translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders. You'll need to hold conversations with data scientists about what's feasible, help charity partners understand what's possible with their data, and know when to bring in additional technical expertise.

If you don’t have all the experience and skills listed below, please still consider applying. We don’t expect a candidate to have 100% of these, but we do want to know that you have relevant experience and an appetite to learn in other areas.

Essential skills and experience

• Project management: You are a skilled project manager, successfully leading projects involving multiple stakeholders from conception to completion. You have experience managing multiple projects at once and can successfully prioritise and juggle competing demands. You can plan ahead, allocate resources, identify and mitigate risks, and bring in additional expertise as required.
• Scoping and needs assessment: You have experience collaborating with clients/stakeholders to assess their challenges, translate them into project plans, evaluate their feasibility, and create delivery plans.
• Volunteer and/or people management: Experience recruiting, training, coordinating, or managing volunteers or managing people over whom you do not have direct authority (eg. contractors/freelancers). Comfortable leading multi-skilled teams in a remote-first environment, fostering collaboration within newly established groups.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong active listening skills. You have experience being the main liaison for a project or programme, providing regular updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You’re not afraid to ask clarifying questions in areas that are new to you. You are skilled at distilling the key insights or next steps in project meetings to ensure clarity on the big picture and details.

Desirable

• Experience managing or delivering data-related or social tech projects.
• Experience volunteering or working with volunteers.
• Familiarity with CRMs and/or project management software.
• Experience working or volunteering in the UK nonprofit/charity sector.
• Knowledge of the UK nonprofit/charity landscape and common digital, data, or tech challenges facing third sector organisations.
• Understanding of privacy, ethics, or responsible data and AI.
• Experience with impact measurement or evaluation frameworks.

Working hours and location 

This is a full-time role (35 hours per week); however we will consider part-time options (28 or 32 hours per week) for a strong candidate. Working hours are flexible, but we ask that 75% of working time is within the hours of 10am and 6pm, to facilitate team working and real-time collaboration.

The role requires regular out-of-hours commitments - roughly one weekend per quarter and 2-4 evenings per month for volunteer events. This work is part of, rather than additional to, your hours, and you must take time off in lieu for any extra working hours.

Our organisation is remote-first, and this role is hybrid, with access to London office space on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and quarterly in-person commitments in London. We have a preference for candidates able to work from our office space in London at least one day per week. There may be occasional national travel within the UK for other events and conferences, with reasonable expenses covered.

You must have the right to work in the UK.

We are seeking a compassionate and organised individual to join our Clinics Support Team as a Patient Liaison Officer (PLO). This role offers a unique opportunity to deliver charity-led support within specialist paediatric clinics at Great Ormond Street Hospital, working alongside NHS multi-disciplinary teams while remaining part of a close-knit and supportive charity team.

About the Role

As a Patient Liaison Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring families feel prepared, supported and heard before, during and after their clinic appointments. You will provide emotional and practical support, advocacy and system navigation, helping families to understand their care and access appropriate support, while referring more complex casework to BBS UK’s specialist Advice Service.

• Attend specialist BBS clinics at Great Ormond Street Hospital, and St Thomas' Hospital, providing on-the-day support to families and clinicians (Approximately 2-4 days per month)

• Act as a key point of contact between families and clinical teams, supporting communication and information-sharing

• Provide light-touch advocacy, information and signposting in relation to health, education, social care and local authority support

• Identify unmet needs or emerging issues during clinic interactions and refer families to the BBS UK Advice Service for specialist advocacy and follow-up

• Support families during key transition points, particularly the move from paediatric to adult services

• Maintain accurate and confidential records using BBS UK’s CRM system (CharityLog)

• Contribute to service evaluation, quality improvement and the wider work of BBS UK

This is a home-based role with attendance at clinics in central London and occasional travel to other clinic sites and BBS UK events. Travel expenses will be reimbursed in line with BBS UK policies.

Key Responsibilities

Database Management (Beacon CRM – Fundraising Database)

• Manage and maintain the CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date fundraising and programmes data entry.  Accurately processing all incoming donations and pledges and ensuring others in the team correctly enter and maintain data.
• Develop overall data management structure of supporter records and processes.  Develop and maintain information management structures in the CRM system to enable accurate and timely information and reporting.

The Advocacy Team Leader is a key operational leadership role responsible for the day-to-day delivery, coordination, and quality assurance of Respond’s specialist ISVA and advocacy services for autistic people and people with learning disabilities affected by sexual violence, trauma, or abuse.
