Role: This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in how Envision brings its mission to life — through well-run fundraising events and compelling communications that inspire supporters and put young people's stories front and centre. 

As Events and Communications Officer, you will take ownership of our annual events programme, including our flagship fundraising event, the Envision Cycling Challenge. From logistics and budget management through to post-event donor recognition and evaluation, you will oversee the full events lifecycle — always looking for ways to grow our offer, attract new supporters and drive income. You will work towards an annual income target as part of a collaborative and ambitious Philanthropy and Partnerships team. 

On the communications side, you will create written and visual content that conveys the impact of our work across social media, e-newsletters, impact reports and donor updates. Working closely with the Communications Manager, you will ensure our messaging is consistent, inspiring and reaches the right audiences — while also supporting internal communications that help connect and inform our teams across the organisation. 

This is a role for someone who is as comfortable crafting a compelling story as they are managing a complex event; someone who thrives on variety, takes pride in the details and genuinely cares about the young people at the heart of our work. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design, deliver and manage the annual events workplan, working towards an annual income target 

• Coordinate and run all fundraising events including the Envision Cycling Challenge, managing logistics, budgets, compliance and evaluation 

• Create compelling written and visual content for external and internal communications across multiple channels 

• Support the development and delivery of donor communications, impact reports and supporter updates 

• Track and report on events performance, supporter engagement and communications metrics 

• Maintain accurate donor records on Salesforce and support timely donor recognition processes 

Essential Experience, Knowledge and Competencies: 

• Experience of events planning and management for events of varying scale and different audiences 

• Experience of creating engaging communications content, including social media, newsletters and reports

About the role

About the Role:

This is a hybrid role, based within Woodville Family Hub (Cheetham).

As a CYP Caseworker, you will be responsible for providing safe, high-quality, trauma informed and consistent support to children and young people who have experienced domestic violence and abuse and are currently living in interim accommodation. The role
The Domestic Abuse Prevention All Risk Perpetrator Worker will strive to make contact and work on a one-to-one basis with perpetrators whose victims have been identified through all levels of risk. 

The purpose of this role is to move the perpetrator along the spectrum of awareness; acceptance of impact; desire to change; to voluntary engagement in behavioural change to end the cycle of abuse for children who are victims of domestic abuse. 

The Domestic Abuse Prevention Worker will work with people on: awareness raising and developing motivation to change with people who recognise they are at risk of or are harming their partner (low risk), individual case management and group behavioural change programmes (standard and medium risk), intensive case management aimed at high harm and/or significant recidivist perpetrators. To do this, the Domestic Abuse Prevention worker will work closely with existing agencies as part of a co located multi agency approach. 

The Domestic Abuse Prevention worker will work closely with the victim/survivor IDVA service to review risk, develop safety plans, and improve outcomes for all parties involved. 

The Prevention, Action and Support Team (PAST) provides an intensive case management service for individuals (all genders, 18+) identified by the police as high risk, high harm perpetrators of domestic abuse.  The intervention lasts 8 – 16 weeks, (with potential extensions based on the duration of the perpetrators inclusion in the perpetrator panel cohort).  Cases are referred through a police-led perpetrator panel (e.g., MATAC or DATAC).

PAST’s intensive case management approach balances support, accountability, and disruption to deliver tailored interventions that enhance victim safety, provide perpetrators with opportunity for change – while ensuring they are held accountable for their actions.

About you

You’ll have a deep understanding of the nature of domestic abuse and its effects on clients and children, as well as the reasons behind abusive behaviours towards intimate partners.

Your knowledge extends to the range of statutory and voluntary agencies that clients and their children may encounter, and you are aware of the impact of domestic abuse on children and parenting, including the additional needs of clients from BMER communities. 

You will have experience in working with clients on issues of domestic abuse, providing one-to-one and group support and advice, managing your own workload and administration, and assessing the risk and safety of your clients and those connected to your client.  You will have handled safeguarding disclosures and referrals, and you communicate clearly with a range of people both over the telephone and in person. 

You will be organised, able to use your initiative, and work effectively as part of a multi-service team. Your administrative skills are strong, and you are adept at using a computer to maintain effective systems. 

Flexible and willing to work evenings, you can travel independently. Additionally, you will have an understanding of trauma-informed practices, risk mitigation, and safeguarding. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Helpline Advisor to support victims of crime at the growing National Contact Centre team in Cardiff.

This is a casual position, and applicants must be able to commit to a minimum of 2 x 7.5 hours shifts per month. The shifts will mainly be evenings and weekends to cover staff absence and busy periods.

About the role:

This role is based at our National Contact Centre in Cardiff. You will need to commit to a 2 week induction program, which will run Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.

As a Helpline Adviser you will:

• Able to respond to victims of and those affected by crime by providing emotional support, information and referrals on to Victim Support services and other agencies
• Providing immediate support, advice and trauma first aid referrals to victims of and those affected by major incidents and terrorism.
• Seamlessly working across multiple services with different processes, procedures and recording mechanisms.
• Managing and responding appropriately to competing priorities, services and needs.
• Responsible for taking disclosures and responding appropriately by either escalating the safeguarding concern to the 'Designated Safeguarding Officer' or to respond immediately to life threatening situations.

York Against Cancer is growing the Leveson Centre: a warm, welcoming, non-clinical space for people affected by cancer. We’re looking for a hands-on Care & Support Manager to lead and develop our person-centred support services, and to nurture the volunteers and small team who make the Centre what it is; a welcoming and supportive environment for all those affected by cancer.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll lead the day-to-day delivery and development of high-quality, non-clinical cancer support at the Leveson Centre. That includes:

• Create a safe, calm, welcoming environment where people feel seen, understood and supported
• Lead safeguarding and welfare concerns with confidence and care
• Manage and developing volunteers (check-ins, boundaries, wellbeing, reflective practice)
• Line manage the Care & Support Coordinator to ensure brilliant front-of-house support
• Improving services by collating feedback, insight and real-world demand
• Build solid relationships with NHS and community partners to strengthen signposting and pathways
• Review impact and reporting service use/outcomes to support funding and growth
