Communications

Our work is place-based, and people focused. To be responsive to the community and to be able to support Shoreditch Trust activities, we do not offer remote working contracts. Casework is at the heart of everything Medical Justice does. We assist vulnerable people in immigration detention to access medical evidence. The evidence we produce forms the basis of our advocacy work to secure lasting change, including our research into the systemic failures in safeguarding and healthcare provision, the harm caused by these shortcomings, and the harmful effect of immigration detention itself on the health of those who are subjected to it.

As a Caseworker you will have your own caseload and be working directly with people in immigration detention, many of whom may be very unwell, traumatised and experiencing deterioration in their health. You will coordinate with our clinicians and, if clients have legal representation, their lawyers, to organise medical assessments. You will maintain communication with your clients throughout this process, acting as a key point of contact.

We are looking for an experienced caseworker, who can use their compassion and organisational skills to support clients in extremely vulnerable situations. We are looking for someone who has experience dealing with clients in crisis situations, who is resilient and able to manage complex, often traumatic, caseloads in a professional and empathetic way. You will play a key role in striving to ensure clients receive access to adequate healthcare and that they obtain high-quality independent medical evidence to progress their legal cases. As well as working as part of a small, dedicated team of caseworkers dealing with around 500 referrals a year.

The Partnerships Officer will manage relationships with multiple firms simultaneously, each at a different stage in their journey to testing and embedding new and improved approaches to identifying and supporting customers experiencing or at risk of suicidality. A Community Builder is a relationship-led professional who brings people together, builds trust, strengthens local networks and supports communities to take action on the things that matter most to them. 

In this role, you will be actively visible and present within your local community, building trusted relationships and supporting conversations that help people connect and collaborate. 

You will facilitate conversations with veterans, local residents and community groups to understand local strengths, interests and priorities. You will connect people with shared interests and ideas, helping to build collaboration and encourage community-led action. You will support community ideas to develop into practical activities, projects and opportunities, and you will work with local organisations and partners to strengthen community networks. 

This role brings together community engagement, facilitation and partnership working to create meaningful, long-term impact. 

What a Typical Two Weeks Might Look Like 

Community Development is a flexible role shaped by the needs of local people and communities, with some evening and weekend working required.

About You  

We are looking for someone who is motivated by working with people and passionate about helping communities connect and thrive. 

You may already have experience in community development, or come from a background such as housing, social care, education, youth work or the wider charity sector. What matters most is your ability to build trusted relationships, engage people effectively and support collaboration that leads to positive change. 

You will be an excellent communicator, able to build trust, inspire action and work effectively with a wide range of people and organisations. You will also be comfortable working independently, managing a varied workload and developing strong working relationships across different groups.

We are looking for someone with:  

• A Community Development qualification and/or transferable Community Development skills and experience.

• An awareness of (or willingness to learn) Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) – an approach focused on building on the strengths, skills and connections already present in communities. 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships that drive action.  

• A track record of successful collaboration with internal and external partners and stakeholders.  

• Effective and efficient organisational and IT skills. 

PLEASE NOTE:  

• The successful candidate will need to be based within a 30-minute commute of their allocated locality and there is a requirement to travel regularly across the wider area (travel expenses covered).  The successful candidate must possess a valid full UK driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle with business insurance for work purposes.  

• There will also be a requirement for occasional travel to other UK locations for meetings and events depending on the charity’s needs such as our annual all colleagues in person event.   

• The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week over 5 days, Monday - Sunday. Core working days will be Monday to Friday; however, flexibility is essential, as regular evening and weekend work will also be required to meet the needs of the role. Working hours will vary to ensure a total of 70 hours is covered over a two-week period, so please take this into consideration before applying.  

• The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check

Job Description

Prostate Cancer Research is seeking a skilled, relationship driven and commercially minded Senior Account Manager to support the growth of our groundbreaking data initiative, Prostate Progress. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the point where healthcare innovation, research, data, and commercial partnerships meet. Playing a pivotal part in ensuring that industry partners receive exceptional service, clear communication, and the highest standards of delivery.

As the day-to-day lead for commissioned studies, you will own and develop a portfolio of relationships across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, MedTech and research organisations. Ensuring seamless coordination between clients and PCR’s internal delivery teams and driving renewed commissions and expanded account value.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in account management, an ability to translate complex requirements into clear deliverables, and a passion for working in a purpose driven environment where partnerships drive real world impact for people with prostate cancer.

As part of representing PCR within the life sciences ecosystem, the role will involve both UK and international travel. Including attendance at client meetings, conferences, partner briefings, and key industry events.

Key Responsibilities

Client and partnership management

•  Serve as the primary point of contact for PCR’s partners commissioning data-related activities, coordinating structured communication through kick‑off meetings, milestone reviews, and issue‑resolution processes.
• Build and grow strong, trusted relationships with clients, ensuring clarity of expectations, accurate project tracking, and timely delivery of all commitments.
•  Develop tailored account plans to strengthen engagement, act as a trusted advisor to partners, drive renewals and repeat business, and drive year‑on‑year revenue growth.

Pipeline development and new business support

• Work with the Head of Business Development and Director of Partnerships to contribute to commercial discussions and maintain an organised, strategic pipeline of commercial opportunities across life sciences and research sectors.
• Lead the development of expansion opportunities within existing accounts, helping shape compelling, commercially viable proposals.
• Develop study scopes, timelines, budgets and value propositions that reflect both industry needs and PCR’s capabilities.

Internal Coordination & Project Delivery

• Collaborate closely with PCR’s Head of Project Delivery, Senior Data Analyst, Translational Research Director, and Finance to ensure internal readiness and alignment on all contracts.
• Translate client requirements into clear internal plans.
• Facilitate clear handovers, milestone planning, and resource assessments that support timely delivery and mitigate operational risks.
• Maintain oversight of project progress across active accounts.
• Proactively surface project risks, blockers, or capacity issues, ensuring rapid escalation and problem‑solving.

Commercial Oversight & Reporting

• Shape pricing strategy and commercial recommendations, including value‑based pricing and cost‑benefit narrative development.
• Track financial performance of contracts, supporting accurate forecasting and revenue monitoring with Finance.
• Regularly review account performance
• Identify growth opportunities and commercial risks
• Produce high‑quality pipeline updates, performance summaries, and insight reports for senior leadership.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure all data‑related work meets GDPR and contractual data protection requirements
• Coordinate with colleagues to uphold ethical and regulatory frameworks related to research, intellectual property, and partner agreements
• Maintain accurate documentation and audit‑ready records across CRM and contract systems

Sector Engagement

• Represent PCR and Prostate Progress at industry events, conferences, and networking forums, helping build visibility and cultivate new leads. Includes international travel.
• Gather client and market insights to inform service development, modelling formats, and partnership offerings, develop a strong understanding of the external markets.
• Act as an ambassador for PCR’s mission and the value of Prostate Progress.

Skills and Competencies

Our ideal candidate would have the following:

Experience

• Significant experience in account management, partnerships or client leadership roles.
• Experience working with and/or within pharmaceutical, NHS, biotechnology, MedTech, clinical research organisations, or related scientific/healthcare environments (desirable).
• Demonstrated success managing complex B2B accounts and delivering high‑quality partnership experiences.
• Experience shaping proposals, negotiating commercial terms, and contributing to pricing or cost‑benefit analysis.
• Strong background in working with cross‑functional technical teams (e.g., analytics, research, finance, delivery).
• Confident using CRM systems and producing accurate forecasts and performance reports.
• Experience representing an organisation at external events, conferences, or partner meetings – with the willingness and ability to undertake UK and international travel, as required.
• Experience in account growth, renewals and strategic client planning.

Skills

Cranstoun is an independent charity and leading provider of specialist treatment, harm reduction and recovery services to those affected by drug and alcohol use. This is an exciting opportunity to become a Key Worker within our high performing psychosocial drug and alcohol service in HMP Birmingham. 

We provide a range of services for those affected by drugs and alcohol. Our skilled and compassionate team work closely with people who use our services to change and save lives. We combine proven expertise in treatment and recovery with innovative approaches and actively involve those we help in improving the design of the services we provide. 

You will be based in our psychosocial team working with adult males (over 18 years old). You will be responsible for delivering a range of elements of our substance use work including case management, assessments, care planning, the delivery of one-to-one interventions to include harm reduction and motivational work, group work, and engagement support as well as other associated duties. You need to be committed to supporting people who use our services to make positive changes to prepare them for release into the community, and you will arrange continuity of care. You will work in collaboration with the clinical team and integrated working is a key element of this role. You will work within the prison setting and contribute towards the wider prison drug strategy.

Having experience of supporting people with complex health needs including substance use, you will bring knowledge and commitment to deliver drug and alcohol treatment. You will have a non-judgemental attitude and a desire to support the lives of people who use our services to be healthier and safer by delivering a high-quality service. 

Experience of working with drug and alcohol use is essential. You will be a competent communicator, with the ability to work independently and be comfortable and enthusiastic, both with the highlighted client group and working in partnership with other service providers. Previous experience or knowledge of working with individuals on opiate replacement treatment, and/or involved in the criminal justice system will be advantageous.
