As a Reconnection Worker, you will play a vital role in helping individuals temporarily placed in the South-East London sub-region reconnect with their local area and access the services they need to resettle successfully.

The Reconnection Team

Working alongside the Sub Regional Rough Sleeping Team as part of an evolving pilot scheme the Reconnection Team work with people who are rough sleeping or placed in temporary ‘off the street’ accommodation by Outreach Workers across six London boroughs. Providing information, advocacy and practical, person-centred support they empower clients to take the necessary steps toward resettlement, enabling them to reconnect with their local area and access the services they need to resettle successfully.

The Role

The role involves working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, ensuring the effective delivery of services tailored to each individual’s circumstances. Based at the 999 Club but travelling throughout Southeast London, you’ll work with a dynamic team dedicated to ending homelessness and making a tangible difference in people’s lives

This role is part of a pilot scheme being run by the Southeast London Sub-Regional Rough Sleeping Coordinator and provides the opportunity to work in different settings alongside teams from several other organisations from the third sector as well as voluntary and statutory services.

The Living Wage Foundation is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Media and Communications Manager to join our team for a 12-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and proactive communications professional with a strong background in media relations, public messaging, and team leadership. The postholder will lead all media, messaging, and external affairs work, developing and implementing a proactive media strategy that supports our mission and key campaigns, such as Living Wage Week and the annual Rates announcement. As a skilled media professional, you will oversee all communications outputs, ensuring consistency and strategic alignment, while delivering media training and refining key messaging to maximise reach and impact. 

In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing our political engagement efforts, building cross-party support and working with political leaders, mayoral teams, and other key stakeholders to promote our initiatives. You’ll manage two direct reports (Events Manager and Media Manager) who each hold line management responsibilities, and you will play a critical role within our Senior Management Team, collaborating closely with the Head of Communications to shape the overall direction of our communications work. This role will work closely with Citizens UK colleagues, including the Citizens UK communications team on cross-organisational priorities.  You will report to the Head of Communications.

As a senior leader, you will be responsible for managing and allocating part of the communications team budget, expanding team capacity, and driving the team’s effectiveness. Director of Finance

Due to the retirement of the current post holder, we are seeking an experienced Finance Director to join the leadership team at Compton Care.

We are a large independent charity, specialising in palliative care, based in Wolverhampton. We provide specialist care to the people of Wolverhampton, Dudley, East Shropshire and South Staffordshire, caring for several thousand people every year in one of our two locations, or within our patients’ own homes. 

Considered to be a large hospice offering modern palliative services, we are partially funded by the NHS but in the main are supported by commercial and charitable giving.

The Finance Director’s post is an integral part of the Charity's senior management team, working closely with the Chief Executive, setting the strategic direction of the organisation and ensuring it has the financial systems and resources to implement its strategy.

We are looking for someone who ideally has previous Director level experience. In return this full-time position is being offered on a very senior management (VSM) salary of circa £88.5K.  We would also consider part time work for the right candidate. 

Compton also offers hybrid working, but expectations are that you would need to be in the office for 60% of your working week. .

You will be responsible for all aspects of Compton’s finances ensuring accurate and complete recording of all financial transactions, adherence to internal controls, procedures and all financial compliance standards. You will report to the Chief Executive and work closely with the leadership team and Board of Trustees, whilst managing the organisation’s Finance and IT teams.

Programme Manager – Financial Inclusion

Purpose of This Role: 

This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new three-year programme focused on strengthening the financial wellbeing of people living with multiple long-term conditions. Enabled by recently announced funding from The Aviva Foundation, the role will lead the design and development of an initiative that equips link workers with the skills, confidence, and resources to address financial hardship as an integral part of their practice. The post will play a crucial role in advancing NASP’s strategic ambition to influence and embed social prescribing across local, national, and international contexts  

This new role will lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of the three-year national programme, reporting to our Strategic Lead for Healthcare Integration & Neighbourhood Health to meet the programme priorities.  

The postholder will work in close partnership with key stakeholders to co-produce and lead the programme’s learning content, oversee the national training rollout, and support pilot delivery in two Primary Care Network (PCN) sites. The role will be central to capturing, synthesising, and embedding learning through peer-learning networks, wider evaluation partnerships, and ongoing engagement with our funder. This will support continuous improvement, evidence-based practice, and the successful scaling of the programme -contributing to a more integrated approach to financial wellbeing through social prescribing services.  

This role will sit within the Healthcare Integration Team and will work closely with colleagues across Evidence & Insights, International Social Prescribing, workforce developments and activity provider engagement.    

This role requires strategic insight, programme delivery expertise, stakeholder management capabilities and an understanding of the role of social prescribing in tackling financial hardship.   

Person Specification: 

Essential   

• Strong programme and project management skills including the coordination of multiple workstreams   

• Experience in either designing, developing and/or delivering training or learning programmes, ideally for social prescribing or health audiences  

• Strong understanding of financial hardship and financial inclusion, including welfare benefits, advice models and their relationships to health inequalities   

• Experience working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including people with lived experience.   

• Excellent communication, facilitation and relationships building skills   

Desirable   

• Experience delivering national programmes end-to-end, including programme design, delivery, scaling and evaluation, with accountability for milestone, outcomes and KPIs  

• Experience of working in the financial advice sector, for example for organisations like Citizens Advice    

• Experience in writing funding applications and developing new donor relationships to secure new funds would be an advantage. Willingness to do so will be essential.

• Support or developing monitoring, evaluation and reporting processes including feedback from variety of stakeholders   

• Understanding of social prescribing workforce development needs, particularly in relation to financial inclusion

• Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of key stakeholders across health, VCSE and professional networks to support both design and reach of the programme     

• Convene regional communities of practice to support peer learning, reflection and knowledge exchange among practitioners and system leaders  

• Engage with policymakers, national networks and others to maximise programme’s influence and reach  

• Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to develop evaluation tools and feedback frameworks, aligned with KPI reporting requirements   

• Work with NASP evidence colleagues to prepare national reports and final evaluation outputs     

• Work across NASP to ensure the programme aligns with and strengths wider health integration activity

About Rockinghorse Children’s Charity

Rockinghorse Children’s Charity supports sick and disabled children across Sussex. We support babies, children and young people, along with their families, at The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and The Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton and all of the specialist children’s wards and baby units throughout Sussex. 

We deliver and fund projects that enable doctors and nurses to do more. All of projects are led by the needs of children and young people and their families – the lifesaving medical equipment, the support for parents and families, the toys for children spending time in hospitals across Sussex, the environments and spaces that help children feel more at home when they are in hospital and additional staff to make sure children get the best possible care when they are unwell. 

Originally set up in 1967 by Dr Trevor Mann, we have been supporting children for more than 55 years, and in that time, we have supported nearly a million children and their families. As the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, including the Trevor Mann Baby Unit, we work with the NHS, charity partners and the Sussex community to ensure children can be children no matter now sick they are. 

We do not receive any government, statutory or local authority funding and so we rely on the generous support of individuals, community groups, companies and trusts: people like you, who care about children and want Sussex to be a safe place for children to grow up. 

About the Role

In 2025 we launched our five-year strategic plan, which prioritised our activities to enable us to support more babies, children and teenagers. As we enter the final year of this strategy the charity continues to expand and develop its projects and services children all over Sussex.

This role will support the Head of Finance & Operations and be responsible for organising and managing the charity’s volunteers and the volunteer programme, working across the charity to ensure we have the right individuals to support our work. You will be responsible for the management, recruitment, onboarding and retention of all short and long-term volunteers, to ensure we can continue to deliver life-saving projects for children and young people across Sussex.

Support the charity to deliver brilliant projects and services that support children and their families:

· Work collaboratively across the charity team to recruit volunteers with the necessary skills, experience and commitment to support our project delivery, fundraising activities, events schedule and office work.

· Communicate regularly with our volunteer community, to highlight upcoming fundraising and challenge events and ensure there is sufficient and appropriate representation in place per event.

· Ensure that the charity has the right policies and procedures in place for the recruitment, onboarding, retention and management of volunteers.

· Lead on and co-ordinate the induction and training of volunteers to ensure they are fully onboarded and prepared for the charity and the role.

· Support volunteers to achieve their aspirations in terms of work experience, education, training or further volunteering during their time with us.

You will provide appropriate emotional and practical 1-to-1 support to (those who identify as) women and non-binary people involved in sex work and those who are sexually exploited, who often experience stigma and face barriers to accessing services. You will be enabling people to access support and navigate services,  You will be working in partnership with other agencies and making appropriate referrals for people to access other services to support their wider needs. You will contribute to wider team responsibilities including outreach, drop in and duty. 

To provide appropriate emotional and practical support to women in the sex industry and/or those who are being sexually exploited with a specific focus on those who are homeless and experiencing domestic violence and abuse. The women we support require intensive practical and emotional support as well as support navigating health and other social care or criminal justice systems. The women will have poor mental or physical health, experience with homelessness and of the criminal justice system, are often victims of sexual and/or domestic abuse and many are homeless. This post specifically will include a focus on domestic violence, sexual exploitation, sexual violence and housing. Working within a harm reduction ethos prioritising women’s safety and wellbeing, the intensive personalized supported will help women to access other services making appropriate referrals for women who wish to make changes, including exiting/transitioning out of sex work. You will be responsible for ensuring that women with varying needs are supported effectively throughout their pathway of support with Basis and partners, advocating for and with the women you are working with including where necessary challenging stigma and judgement women face.
