Part-Time Finance Manager (22.5 hours per week) – £25,062.60 pa (FTE £41,771) -  Salford – Hybrid

Our client is a dedicated charity based in Salford and are looking to expand their finance team by recruiting to the new post of Finance Manager. The postholder will lead the finance function, ensuring that robust financial systems, processes and controls are in place to safeguard the organisation and enable informed decision-making.

They will provide high-quality financial insight, maintain the integrity of financial information, and oversee the delivery of accurate and compliant financial operations—including payroll, management reporting and audit preparation.

The Role :

• Produce accurate and timely quarterly management accounts, including all supporting schedules and reconciliations.  
• Support the annual budgeting process, including entering budgets into the finance system and updating records as programmes evolve.
• Monitor organisational and project budgets throughout the year, highlighting risks, variances and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare costings for funding bids, tenders and proposals to ensure full cost recovery and sustainable delivery.
• Ensure strong internal financial controls are operating effectively across all finance processes.
• Oversee the full monthly payroll cycle
• Manage the end-to-end monthly invoicing process, maintaining all payment schedules and supporting robust income tracking.

The role is offered on a part-time basis (22.5hours per week) and days and hours can be flexible but must include a full day on a Monday.

Finance Administrator – Job Description

Role Purpose

Power Up North London is a leading community energy organisation delivering renewable energy, energy efficiency and retrofit projects that directly benefit community groups and public buildings. The Finance Administrator is responsible for financial management and integrity of Power Up North London’s financial operations. This role will deliver accurate financial and management reporting, budget tracking and oversight of finance processes including cashflow management, invoicing, payments, and associated controls.

Working closely with the Board and external finance partners, the postholder will provide the financial insight and control needed to support decision-making, maintain funder confidence, and enable sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

Financial Management and Governance

· Maintain oversight of Power Up North London ’s financial accounts, ensuring accuracy and integrity across all financial processes

· Prepare monthly management accounts for internal review and Board reporting

· Support preparation and management of the annual budget

· Track income and expenditure against the approved budget, identifying and explaining variances

· Tracking of grant and project income and expenditures against budget

Billing and Revenue Assurance

· Ensure timely billing and effective debtor management

· Identify and flag billing discrepancies for sites

· Support investigation and resolution of issues to ensure accurate income collection

Cashflow and Treasury Management

· Manage cashflow and maintain accurate cashflow forecasts

· Reconcile bank accounts fortnightly and track cash movements

· Monitor invoicing timeliness and payments disbursements to support effective cashflow management 

Performance Monitoring and Financial Modelling

· Liaise with the Asset Management Team to track financial performance of solar sites and projects against forecasts

· Support analysis of income and expenditure, highlighting risks and opportunities

· Assist in pricing of electricity for new sites and checking financial assumptions and modelling

External Finance Coordination

· Work effectively with Share energy (Power Up North London’s outsourced finance provider)

· Liaise on accounting, reporting, and financial queries, ensuring timely resolution

· Monitor fulfilment of service level agreements  

Financial Controls

· Ensure adherence with Power Up North London’s financial processes and controls

· Implement controls relevant to payments in / out, grants management and bank reconciliations

Shareholder Register Maintenance  

· Maintain internal record of shareholder capital outstanding and member capital and interest payments due

· Update shareholder register for shareholder actions, redemptions, and new issuances

The role of Interim Head of Fundraising

This is an exciting interim (9-12 month) opportunity for a strategic and people focused leader to head up our Fundraising team and help drive meaningful change for people affected by digestive conditions.

This role is primarily focused on strengthening and scaling voluntary income and leading our fundraising team and activities.  The postholder will also shape the future fundraising operating model and support a smooth transition to a permanent fundraising lead.

Hours & Salary range

The Role:

The role provides operational leadership across a defined operational area of the Trust’s reserves, ensuring land management, people management and community engagement deliver strong conservation outcomes. It involves leading and developing the local team, supporting volunteers and representing the Trust locally and nationally, whilst building robust relationships. The post oversees planning, delivery and quality assurance of reserve and project work, ensuring compliance with policies, health and safety and regulatory requirements. It also manages budgets, risks and ecological data, embedding evidenced based decision making and maintaining accurate documentation and supporting long-term site and project development. Through this combination of leadership and operational oversight, the role helps safeguard the Trust’s reserves and advance its conservation mission.

Main objectives:

Land management and project delivery
Manage wildlife reserve operations across the West Reserves Management Area, including conservation and land management and monitoring of 3,700 hectares across ten wildlife reserves with a range of habitats, including blanket bog, heaths, fens, freshwater lochs, woodlands within the temperate rainforest zone, and a range of montane vegetation communities.

Representation and stakeholder engagement
Build and maintain positive relationships with landowners, volunteers, contractors, communities and interested parties. Represent the Trust professionally at local, regional and national events and meetings, and proactively manage day‑to‑day issues with neighbours and partners.

People management and teamwork
Line manage and develop the operational area team, leading recruitment, induction and performance. Foster a positive organisational culture, support collaboration across teams, and act as the key local contact for members and volunteers. Help recruit, train and retain volunteers, and provide local operational insight to support fundraising, communications and policy work.

Information and operational management
Maintain risk registers, manage budgets, and promote a strong safety culture. Use ecological data to inform decision‑making, ensure data governance compliance, and support effective reporting and monitoring of conservation outcomes through internal systems.

The successful candidate will ideally:

• HND in environmental conservation or similar (essential)
• Degree / post graduate qualification in environmental conservation, countryside management or similar (desirable)
• Minimum three years in similar role – to include experience of management planning and coordinating practical conservation work (essential)
• Health and Safety legislation/procedures relating to outdoor working (essential)
• Evidence-based decision making (essential)
• Demonstrable experience of securing permissions and consents required for conservation and land management activities on Trust managed wildlife reserves, as well as identification, mitigation and management of practical constraints, including but not restricted to environmental, ecological and archaeological (essential)
• Working knowledge of Construction, Design and Management Regulations in context of conservation projects (essential)
• Working knowledge of Controlled Activities Regulations (essential)
• Experience of delivering upland conservation projects including peatland restoration, non-native conifer plantation felling, extraction and restoration, and /or native woodland planting and regeneration.
• Experience of working within urban and rural areas of Scotland with specific reference to managing associated anthropogenic challenges, for example managing for wildlife conservation in areas of high footfall or remote rural locations.
• Demonstrable knowledge of upland deer management and conservation grazing for nature conservation purposes.
• Demonstrable knowledge of conservation and land management to mitigate against wildfire risk. 
• Demonstrable experience of communicating the importance of maintaining and expanding healthy habitats for wildlife and people.

By working closely with people and communities from a defined geographical area, you will understand what matters to them and where our funding can make the biggest difference.

These roles are central to ensuring that the voices of people in the justice system shape the services that affect them. You’ll work directly across our Prison Councils in HMP Altcourse and HMP Forest Bank, as well as a range of community‑based projects regionally, and occasionally national. Some projects will require significant travel, so flexibility is essential.

Artsreach is seeking a highly motivated, creative and strategically minded individual to lead all marketing activity and raise the profile of our work across rural Dorset, crafting compelling stories, producing high‑quality digital and print content, managing press and social media, and developing strategies that strengthen audience engagement.

Artsreach is Dorset’s touring arts charity, presenting a programme of professional theatre, dance, music and participatory activity in rural communities of the county. Supported by Dorset Council, Artsreach is also part of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio, and celebrated its 35th Anniversary in 2025. Since the launch of its first programme in March 1990, Artsreach has been committed to working with volunteers across Dorset to overcome the barriers of rural and social isolation by providing communities with access to professional arts events, firmly believing that engagement enriches quality of life

The Marketing & Communications Officer will play a key role in raising the profile of Artsreach. By immersing yourself in our communities, our programme and the stories behind our work, you will create compelling content and build narratives that effectively communicate who we are and the impact we make to audiences, artists, funders and partners.

You will lead the planning and delivery of audience‑focused marketing and communications activity that increases awareness and strengthens engagement. This includes developing clear communications strategies, producing compelling digital and print content, and managing press, social media and other digital platforms.

A key part of the role is storytelling: gathering data, case studies and evidence of impact from across our programmes, and shaping these into accessible, persuasive communications that speak to the needs of our audience, volunteers, supporters and funders. Working closely with the team and our volunteer promoter network, you will ensure that our activity is visible, our messaging is consistent, and our unique contribution to rural communities is clearly understood.

Working within a small team can at times be highly pressurised, so we require someone who can adapt quickly and contribute positively to a supportive and collaborative working culture. This role will suit an individual with strong experience in cultural marketing, who can bring fresh ideas, confidence with digital tools, and a commitment to widening access to the arts across rural communities.

Position

This is a newly created role leading Lumos’ AI, data, and technology agenda. You will shape our digital direction while ensuring systems, data, and tools are secure, effective, and aligned with organisational growth.

Working closely with our outsourced IT provider (who manages day-to-day operations), you will provide strategic oversight, governance, and continuous improvement across systems, data, and AI.

The role will suit someone who can bridge strategy and delivery, bringing both structure and innovation to a global, mission-driven organisation.

Requirements

• Experience leading or overseeing IT, data, or digital functions
• Strong understanding of systems, cloud environments, and integrations
• Experience in data governance, reporting, and analytics (e.g. Power BI)
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, IT governance, and risk management
• Familiarity with AI tools and responsible AI practices
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional working

Desirable: international experience, digital transformation exposure, GDPR knowledge

• Preparing monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis and commentary
• Leading budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with operational teams
• Supporting the month-end close process and ensuring accurate, timely reporting
• Partnering with departments (including repairs and maintenance teams) to enhance financial understanding and performance
• Providing insightful analysis to support decision-making and drive value for money
• Continuously improving financial processes, reporting, and systems
• Supporting year-end activities and statutory reporting

About you:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or Finalist 
• Strong experience in management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Confident engaging with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability
• Able to interpret complex data and communicate clear, actionable insights
• Experience within social housing is highly desirable with maintenance and repairs knowledge a bonus
