RUHX are seeking a motivated and collaborative Charity Impact Manager to lead our internal grants programme and ensure that charitable funds deliver measurable impact for patients, families and staff.

Main duties of the job
No two days in our team are the same. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Donor Identification, solicitation and management
- Work with the UK Country Manager to grow the donor portfolio in the UK by identifying prospects, building relationships and secure gifts from high net-worth individuals and other philanthropic donors.
- Identify and deliver unique stewardship and cultivation opportunities for donors.
- Manage a portfolio of major donors through various personalised approaches, including face-to-face meetings, phone calls, events and written and verbal communications.
- Ensure excellent and timely response to enquiries and stewardship and acknowledgement of gifts.
Events coordination
- Work with the UK Country Manager to help shape and deliver events and other engagement opportunities to generate income, cultivate and steward donors.

We’re looking for a Healthcare Improvement Officer to join our Improvement Programmes Team and help us deliver exciting initiatives that support healthcare professionals to improve prostate cancer services across the UK. Examples of projects supported include work around establishing better Active Surveillance so that more men can avoid unnecessary radical treatment; work to restructure and make faster the diagnostic pathway; work to coordinate with primary care and support earlier diagnosis; new surgical procedures that spare men the burden of incontinence. As Healthcare Improvement Officer, you’ll play a central role in making sure our programmes run smoothly and have maximum impact. You’ll oversee on the logistics and delivery of events across the UK and online, from our Clinical Champions Programme and Clinical Advisory Group meetings to our annual healthcare professional conference. You’ll also oversee recruitment for programmes, manage databases and monitoring systems, and handle financial processes such as invoices and purchase orders, ensuring everything is delivered on time and to a high standard.
Your work will range from planning and scheduling programmes, to procuring resources, preparing materials and helping to facilitate sessions so that participants are fully supported in their learning. You’ll also contribute to quality improvement project development and coordination, working with teams across Prostate Cancer UK to share good practice and expand the reach of our initiatives.
Engagement will be a key part of your role, from maintaining webpages and digital channels to supporting our alumni network through newsletters, communications and opportunities for continued involvement. What we want from you

Principal responsibilities and duties
Budget Management
- With the Head of Comms & Individual Giving, set annual budgets and programmes of activity, actively monitoring performance against these and adapting approach as necessary
- Plan, monitor and control expenditure as appropriate and manage income against set budget, KPIs; providing regular revised projections and narrative for the Senior Leadership Team and trustees as required

This new role will take over responsibility for developing and managing all finance activities and reporting in this rapidly growing charity. You will have the opportunity to shape the role and the evolution of the charity as we grow, implementing financial processes and systems. As a key member of the Management Committee, you will work closely with the CEO, the Office Manager and the Honorary Treasurer.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely financial records of all income received and expenditure incurred
- Implement a new accounting system, as the charity’s growth takes it from excel bookkeeping to a new integrated finance and reporting system
- Liaise with the payroll bureau to ensure accurate and timely processing and payment of monthly salaries and related costs
- Working with the FHL office in Bethlehem, maintain accurate records of grants paid
- Monitor and maintain correct reporting of Restricted and Unrestricted income and expenditure
- Manage all UK banking activities and maintain oversight of the charity’s bank accounts in Bethlehem
- Prepare, validate and submit regular Gift Aid claims to HMRC
- Prepare monthly management accounts for the Management Committee and Board of Trustees
- Working with the CEO and Treasurer, prepare annual budgets and periodic reforecasts as required
- Working closely with our external auditors, deliver an effective year end close and audit process and ensure submission of Annual Trustees’ Report and Financial Statements to the Charity Commission
- Supervise the Office Finance Administrator
- Assist in the formulation and implementation of financial policies, procedures and controls
- Perform any other duties as reasonably required within this role to support the work of the charity
