The Head of Major Donors will play a critical role in strengthening and stewarding Mission 44’s relationships with high-value donors, philanthropists, and strategic supporters.

This role will work alongside the Chief Engagement Officer to lead the development and delivery of a thoughtful, personalised and impactful Major Donors programme that deepens donor pipeline and engagement, increases contributions, strengthens long-term relationships, and inspires continued investment in Mission 44’s mission and impact.

The successful candidate will combine exceptional relationship management skills, a solid network of donors, strong project coordination and communications, with strategic thinking.

They will work closely across fundraising, communications, programmes and leadership teams to ensure donors experience meaningful engagement with Mission 44’s work, values and community.

Requirements

MAJOR DONOR CULTIVATION AND RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT (70%) 

• Lead the organisation’s cultivation of new donors and deepening of the major donor pipeline. 
• Personally lead the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major donors and prospects for six/seven-figure gifts.
• Lead the implementation of Mission 44’s global major donor stewardship strategy, ensuring all major donors feel engaged in and inspired. 
• Manage and coordinate stewardship plans for high-value donors and philanthropic partners
• Build trusted, long-term relationships with major supporters through thoughtful and personalised engagement
• Develop tailored donor journeys that reflect supporter interests, motivations and impact priorities
• Identify opportunities to deepen donor engagement and increase long-term support
• Provide administrative support for the Global Growth Committee
• Work with Head of Engagement and Events to plan and deliver donor engagement opportunities at events, briefings, roundtables and programme visits to bring donors closer to our work

DONOR COMMUNICATIONS AND IMPACT REPORTING (20%)

• Ensure donors receive timely, high-quality communication and reporting
• Coordinate the creation of bespoke donor updates, reports and impact communications
• Work collaboratively with programme and communications teams to translate impact into compelling donor narratives
• Work with the communications team to ensure stewardship materials are high quality, aligned to brand and reflective of Mission 44’s values

SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT AND COLLABORATION (10%) 

• Maintain accurate donor records, engagement tracking and stewardship activity within CRM systems

• Work closely with wider fundraising colleagues, communications and impact teams to deliver integrated supporter engagement

ABOUT YOU: SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

About the role

As Landlord Liaison Coach, you will join our team in Birmingham at an exciting time, delivering an outstanding property procurement service across the private and social rented sector. Working alongside our team of lead worker coaches you will identify appropriate matches of tenants and homes. In addition, you will be managing your own caseload of homeless members and providing advice, guidance and advocacy. It’s a role requiring commercial acumen and creativity as you partner with both social and private landlords to source accommodation for our members. You will work collaboratively with partners and staff across the organisation to ensure tenants receive the support they need to sustain their homes and landlord relationships are nurtured. There is scope for development of the role and plenty of support. It’s a fantastic opportunity to make the role your own and shape it from the beginning.

Join us as a City Network Coordinator and play a vital role in strengthening the voluntary and community sector (VCS) across the City of London. This role offers the opportunity to connect organisations, amplify community voices, and drive meaningful collaboration.

The Public Interest News Foundation (PINF) is the UK’s first charity that exists to promote high-quality journalism. Last year, we launched an ambitious ten-year mission to regenerate local news in the UK. We believe that local news is a vital part of the fabric of local communities, drawing people together around shared facts and pride in place at a time of disinformation and division.

We are pursuing our mission by (1) sourcing new funds for local news; (2) advocating for supportive government policies; and (3) celebrating local news providers from the UK and around the world that are Accountable, Sustainable, in the Public interest, Innovative, Representative and Engaging (ASPIRE).

Over the last year, we have successfully encouraged the UK Government to launch an unprecedented new £12m Local News Fund. We have also built support for our mission from US and UK donors. And we have launched initiatives such as the Tenacious Journalist Awards, to recognise and support independent news providers who are having a significant social impact.

Purpose of the Role

The Programmes Officer will support the PINF team across our three workstreams: the Local News Fund; Local News Campaign; and Local News Futures programme.

· Through the Local News Fund, we work with grantmakers and social investors (including government-backed fund managers) to unlock new economic resources for local news across the UK.

· Through the Local News Campaign, we work with the BBC, big tech firms, central and local government, MPs, Peers and regulators to shape a positive enabling environment for local news across the UK.

· Through the Local News Futures programme, we work with academics, civil society organisations, journalism support organisations and local news providers to showcase models of local news with the most positive impact.

The Programmes Officer will provide support with events, research and campaigns across these workstreams, and will also provide support with our organisational functions, including communications, fundraising and governance.

By providing efficient and effective support to the team, the Programmes Officer will unlock new potential for PINF to deliver our charitable purpose.

· Support the Deputy Director with the successful delivery of the annual Local News Forum by:

About the role

You will play a crucial role in making sure our volunteer-focused Learning and Development function runs smoothly and effectively. You will be the first point of contact for learning and development queries, helping volunteers and colleagues resolve issues. You will be responsible for managing the full learner journey, from booking through to completion, ensuring a positive experience and identifying improvements when this is not the case.

You will build strong experience in a Learning and Development operational role within a national volunteer network. You will also gain exposure to SSAFA’s Learning Management System and to general system and process design.

About the role

As our Marketing Cloud Operations Specialist, you will be the operational technical expert of our supporter engagement. This is a pivotal role within our Salesforce Team ensuring that our Marketing Cloud Engagement (SFMCE) platform is robust, compliant and ready to deliver life-changing impact.

You will manage the day-to-day business as usual operations—translating fundraising/event strategies into sophisticated technical journeys that keep our supporters and supported audiences at the very centre of our mission.

What you’ll do

• Act as the primary administrator for Salesforce Marketing Cloud;manage business units, user permissions,security settings, and licence consumption to ensure an efficient environment. 

• Define and own the Platform Roadmap, establish comprehensive SFMC documentation, and safely execute the SFMC Change roll-out

• Lead the technical setup, testing, execution, and amendment of donor retention, acquisition, and emergency appeal journeys within Journey Builder.

• Develop responsive, dynamic templates in Content Builder and Cloud Pages using HTML/CSS and AMPscript for deep personalization; lead the IP warming and deliverability strategy

• Oversee Single Send Emails and lead Email Template creation and amendments. Resolve all single send and journeys Email issues.

What you’ll bring

• Certified Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist or equivalent experience. A solid track record in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement with hands-on ability to navigate the platform is key

In this role, you’ll be working on the In Memory programme within Individual Giving (IG) to inspire people to donate and engage them in a meaningful way, that reflects their unique motivation for supporting the charity. As part of the team, you’ll be innovative in a changing fundraising and cultural landscape, to achieve ambitious annual income targets.

You'll assist with and when required, project manage areas of the In Memory supporter journeys to drive acquisition and retention, ensuring supporters have the best possible experience.

• Assist with and, when required, project manage direct marketing campaigns, both online and offline. 

• Support the Senior IG Officer in creating and delivering successful supporter journeys.

• Manage relationships with creative, print and response handling agencies working on campaigns.

• Support the Senior Individual Giving Officers in achieving strategic objectives, monitoring income and expenditure and using database analysis to inform and improve the individual giving programme (with a focus on the In Mem programme).

• Integrate the direct marketing programme into Fundraising and Experience Directorate activities and support the overall Parkinson’s UK strategic plan.

• Manage the administrative tasks for the Individual Giving team, such as processing invoices, ordering stock and updating key documents and materials both online and offline.

• Proven experience of successfully scheduling and managing campaigns to deliver results against agreed objectives and targets. 

• Excellent copy-writing, creative and proofreading skills for both online and offline materials. 

• Experience of operating in a modern digital workplace, including using digital tools, platforms and techniques to work collaboratively and productively. 

• Ability to review and evaluate data and campaign results and pull out key trends to inform future work.
