Strong organisational and communication skills are essential for managing referrals, job retention support, and compliance with NHS and Hestia protocols. About the role: Transform Justice is seeking a research and policy officer to play a vital role supporting its work for a better justice system. Working closely with the charity’s director and deputy director (and alongside our communications officer), you will conduct high quality research, draft policy briefings, and organise and participate in meetings and events. This role will support a range of projects including the next round of our innovative courtwatching project, and our work to reduce the pre-trial imprisonment of children. 

We are looking for someone inquisitive, flexible, and organised. The role is home-based using your own equipment, so you will need to be able to work on your own with minimal day-to-day supervision. There is the option to work at an office in Old Street, London up to two days a week with other Transform Justice team members. The team also meets regularly online and for in-person meetings in London.

Main responsibilities and duties:

• Undertaking qualitative and quantitative research including phone interviews, survey design, submitting FOI requests and analysing published data

• Reviewing relevant academic evidence and policy documents and identifying what’s important for our advocacy work 

• Writing, editing and proofreading reports, briefings and submissions

• Liaising with policy makers and stakeholders including organising and attending meetings and drafting correspondence

• Organising online and in person events to support Transform Justice’s advocacy work 

• Supporting the CourtWatch London project including engaging with volunteers, organising and supporting the delivery of training, reviewing data collection 

• Support the drafting of funding applications

• Other reasonable duties as required including administrative tasks such as generating invoices 

Skills and experience:

• Essential: At least two years of work experience in a research or policy-related role

• Essential: Demonstrable qualitative and quantitative research skills, for example using interviews, surveys, or published statistics to produce insights and recommendations 

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing 

• Ability to take ownership of tasks when working remotely with little supervision, seeking advice and support when needed

Location: Remote working with regular in-person meetings in London and the option to hot-desk in an office in Old Street, London up to two days per week.

We’re looking for an experienced project manager to lead our most significant, "high-reward" strategic initiatives. These are the projects that change the way we operate as an organisation.

Person Specification

Essential:

• Prince 2 Practitioner (or equivalent project management framework)

Additional Information:

Terms and Conditions:

This is a full-time, permanent position. The salary will be up to £39,500 per annum, depending upon experience.

This position is 37 hours per week.

The position is offered subject to the satisfactory completion of a three-month probationary period.

Holiday entitlement is five weeks per annum, rising to six weeks after two years’ continuous service, plus statutory holidays.

This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up and see the direct impact of your work on people experiencing homelessness across London. As our first Philanthropy and Major Gifts Officer, you will work closely with the Assistant Director of Fundraising to bring our new strategy to life, shaping how we engage major donors and grow a powerful community of supporters who are motivated to stand alongside Single Homeless Project (SHP) and our clients. Every relationship you build and every gift you secure will help create real opportunities for our clients to move away from homelessness and towards safety, stability and independence.

The Woodland Trust is looking for an experienced Conservation and Wildlife Officer to join the Snaizeholme Project team, supporting the conservation and long-term management of the Snaizeholme Estate. The role will focus on conservation-led wildlife management, including protecting and enhancing local Red Squirrel populations, habitat and species monitoring, and delivering practical land management across a diverse landscape. Working closely with landowners, partners, volunteers and local communities, the successful candidate will combine strong ecological knowledge with excellent communication and public engagement skills to help create a thriving, resilient landscape for wildlife and people.

A company vehicle will be provided for this role. Please note that out Company Vehicle Policy is also under review as part of our Job Families and Contract Review project, so the eligibility criteria therein are subject to change in due course.

The Role:

• Coordinate stakeholders across the Northern Dales to deliver joined-up, evidence-led wildlife management, with a focus on Grey Squirrel control to support Red Squirrel populations.
• Lead ecological surveys and monitoring to inform habitat management, including grazing impacts, vegetation change, bird activity, ground-nesting productivity and invasive species.
• Produce reports and contribute to conservation research in collaboration with colleagues, agencies and external partners.
• Manage and support wildlife contractors, volunteers and controllers, delivering evidence-based squirrel and deer management across the estate and wider landscape.
• Support delivery of the Snaizeholme Estate project, providing specialist input into woodland, peatland, wetland and farmed habitat management.
• Deliver public engagement through presentations, events, site visits and volunteer coordination, ensuring safe and effective conservation activities.
• Ensure wildlife management complies with best practice, environmental legislation and regional/national partnership frameworks.
• Maintain accurate survey and management records using IT/GIS systems, support health and safety compliance, and provide training and guidance where needed.
• This is a homebased role, requiring regular travel to locations within the Snaizeholme landscape and wider area, sometimes to remote locations. You would be expected to live within reasonable travelling distance of your area of responsibility. Occasional travel to regional offices and overnight stays will be required.

The Candidate:

• Experience assessing, monitoring, and managing wildlife and habitats to deliver conservation objectives, particularly in upland environments.
• Skilled in wildlife and habitat surveying, species identification, and practical conservation management.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building experience with farmers, land managers, ENGOs, local authorities, volunteers, and community groups.
• Confident in public engagement, including presentations, guided walks, and volunteer coordination.
• Knowledge of conservation-led wildlife management, habitat survey methodologies, and upland land-use practices.
• Competent in Health & Safety management, including lone working, risk assessments, and working in challenging terrain/weather conditions.
• Proficient in IT, data management, record keeping, and GIS software.
• Qualified with a relevant environmental/ecology/land management degree (or equivalent experience), full UK driving licence, and willingness to complete specialist training/certifications including Grey Squirrel Management and DSC Level 1 if not already held.

Mile End Young Peoples service provides support and housing in Tower Hamlets that are either leaving care or affected by youth homelessness. You will be expected to deliver positive outcomes for all our young people and support them to reach independence, keep safe and maintain their tenancy's. Aside from support workers delivering support there is a strong element of housing management associated wit this role, for example managing rents, raising/monitoring repairs and health and safety.

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate manager to fill our Operations Manager post in West Yorkshire. About the Role

We’re hiring a Trauma Stabilisation Worker to join our team based in Hove. In this role, you will support women who have experienced significant trauma and multiple disadvantages, including domestic and sexual violence, exploitation, homelessness, mental ill-health and substance use.

As a Trauma Stabilisation Worker, you will deliver person-centred support and structured interventions to help residents manage trauma, build emotional regulation skills and develop coping strategies to support recovery and housing stability. You will work closely with colleagues and external partners to maintain a trauma-informed, psychologically informed environment that promotes safety, consistency and positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Support residents experiencing trauma, mental ill-health, substance use, homelessness and complex needs

• Deliver structured 1:1 trauma stabilisation interventions and maintain a manageable caseload

• Help residents build emotional regulation, coping skills, and confidence to sustain housing and move forward positively

• Create and review personalised support plans through one-to-one work, group sessions, and multi agency collaboration

• Recognise and respond to risks, including safeguarding concerns and deterioration in mental health

• Plan and deliver trauma-informed group activities and contribute to house meetings

• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to provide joined up support

• Keep accurate, timely records and maintain high standards of case management and confidentiality

• Support residents in crisis while maintaining clear professional boundaries

• Lone working is part of the role, with support from a wider team

About You

We’re looking for an empathetic and resilient individual who understands the impact of trauma and the challenges faced by women with multiple and complex needs. You will have experience supporting people affected by issues such as domestic abuse, mental ill-health, homelessness, and substance use. You will be confident delivering structured support, including one-to-one interventions and group work and be able to engage individuals who may be in distress or disengaged from services. 

You’ll be proactive, organised, and able to manage a varied workload, while working collaboratively within a team. You will be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, and will have alignment with our SIG values. You will be keen to support our residents to achieve their individual goals and support them to be the best versions of themselves.
