Where you’ll be working

St Mungo’s Bristol Accommodation Services are taking on an exciting expansion, including supported housing Toll House Court in Southville, and Semi Independent Accommodation across West and East Bristol.

These services provide accommodation and housing related support to people experiencing homelessness; dedicated to providing a safe, trauma informed, high quality and inclusive service to people while they are living in the hostel with the aim of working towards a positive move-on into independent housing. 

You will join a dynamic team of managers, day shift and night shift workers, taking part in the renewal of the service, helping us to provide a psychologically-informed environment and a supportive and secure place where our residents can make meaningful life changes.

What you’ll be doing as a Project Worker

• Oversee a caseload of clients and provide ongoing 1-1 support in an approachable, caring and person-centred way.
• Provide practical and personal support to clients with complex needs around areas such as housing and health. 
• Have a good understanding of a person centred approach and how to provide the right support to clients to meet individual needs, identifying personal aims and ambitions and making plans to achieve them.  
• Work with the team, external statutory agencies and voluntary organisations to ensure everyone has access to available support.  
• Continue to develop your skills further around working with clients in a holistic way - we will provide training and support to help you gain a deeper understanding of housing and benefits law, and other specialist areas through training, supervision and line management support. 

When you'll be working

You will work full time on-site on a 7‑day rolling rota, including early shifts from 7:30am, late shifts until around 10pm, bank holidays, and two extended weekend shifts in every six. Some roles also offer a 20% pay premium for hours worked between 8pm–8am Monday to Friday, and for all weekend hours.

About the role

This role is office based in Rochdale Police Station and the ideal candidate will be based 3 days per week with Victim Support and a couple of days with external agencies who deliver direct support to children.

As an IDVA you will:

• provide pro-active, high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic violence & abuse through on-going risk assessment, individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.
• work with survivors to ensure they have on-going support to manage their safety

Key tasks will include:

• Identify & assess risks and needs of domestic abuse victims using an evidence-based risk checklist.
• Focus on & prioritise high risk cases providing a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service, through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• Working with high risk victims of domestic abuse assisting them in accessing services to keep them and their family safe.
• Developing individual safety plans to meet client's needs as identified in the needs and risk assessment.
• Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to victims including exploration of legal and civil options, housing, health and finance and support clients through the criminal justice system.
• Empowering clients to recognise the features and dynamics of domestic abuse present in their situation.
• Providing long-term support to victims of domestic violence & abuse, who's ex partners are attending the Drive perpetrator programme.

You will need

• A good understanding of domestic abuse & its impact.
• To understand risk assessment, safety planning & risk management for victims of domestic abuse
• Knowledge of Safeguarding & legal responsibilities relating to this.
• Theoretical, practical & procedural knowledge of civil and criminal justice remedies for victims of domestic abuse.

ROLE PURPOSE:

As part of in an in-house brand and creative team this role will help plan, shoot, create and oversee the production of quality audience-led graphic design and multi-media content under the ShelterBox brand.

Working with the Senior Brand Manager and wider Brand and Content team, the successful candidate will deliver end-to-end projects to bring the brand alive and support our fundraising, communications and international teams to drive income, awareness and support successful user journeys.

The role will advise all ShelterBox teams to work within brand guidelines and enable teams to access and use assets and templates by maintaining accurate systems. They will also support wider development of a purpose-led brand, using insight and by building strong relationships with audience and channel owners.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Are you looking to join an in-house Brand and Content team? This role would suit someone who's keen to work across all areas of the organisation, championing brand guidelines and managing and delivering a wide range of creative projects under the ShelterBox brand.

You must be able to edit video and have a good knowledge graphic design and brand. It is a requirement of this role to have a working knowledge of Premier Pro, After Effects, Indesign and Illustrator, with experience across Adobe Creative Suite. You'll also be able to demonstrate great copywriting skills and have excellent attention to detail. The successful candidate will have experience in practical photography and film.

You will need to be able to plan and lead a shoot and confidently pick up a camera and capture ShelterBox footage and interviews in the UK and in the countries where we work. This role will, at times, be required to deploy in both major disasters and pro-active content trips - gathering content themselves and supporting external freelancers.

• Support a review of design across the organisation and enable teams to design via templates.

• Support the development and re-fresh of templates for both design and video.

• Use audience insights to inform all plans and work with the insight team and others to measure success.

Content gathering:

• Plan and lead shoots in the UK and in countries where ShelterBox works.

• Film a wide range of ShelterBox spokespeople including CEO, board members, programme staff, partners and high-level celebrity supporters both at an in-house studio or on location.

• Photograph and film events in the UK and overseas.

• Shoot and manage a bank of studio photography of ShelterBox aid items - responding to audience insight and channel requirements.

• Develop and deliver quality content training for ShelterBox staff

• Help to manage ShelterBox photography, sound and video equipment and studio

• Work closely with the ShelterBox operations team and partners to ensure we are gathering high-quality content across all our live deployments.

• Process and edit raw content from deployments - case studies, photos, video.

• Deploy to gather content or train partners - dependent on funding and strategic need. At times this may involve taking freelancers on agreed trips. Note: Deploying in major disasters or to partner organisations may involve operating within ERA areas so role will need to be HEAT trained.

The Role

Social prescribing link workers will work as a key part of the primary care network (PCN) multi-disciplinary team. Social prescribing can help PCNs to strengthen community and personal resilience and reduces health and wellbeing inequalities by addressing the wider determinants of health, such as debt, poor housing and physical inactivity, by increasing people’s active involvement with their local communities. It particularly works for people with long term conditions (including support for mental health), for people who are lonely or isolated, or have complex social needs which affect their wellbeing.

Responsibilities include:

• Working with direct supervision from the Programme Lead/Senior Link Worker and input from the PCN’s Clinical Lead GP, take referrals from staff in GP practices within the local PCN.
• Provide personalised support to individuals, their families and carers to take control of their health and wellbeing, live independently and improve their health outcomes, as a key member of the PCN multi-disciplinary team.
• Developing trusting relationships and taking a holistic approach, based on the person’s priorities and co-produce a simple personalised care and support plan to improve health and wellbeing, introducing or reconnecting people to community groups and statutory services.
• Work collaboratively with all local partners to contribute towards supporting local community groups and organisations, making themselves aware of local resources and “assets” through mapping and then building a relationship with these organisations.  Also sharing intelligence regarding any gaps or problems identified in local provision with commissioners and local authorities. 
• Social prescribing link workers will work collaboratively with GP’s and have a role in promoting social prescribing and educating non-clinical and clinical staff within their PCN multi-disciplinary teams on the benefits of social prescribing
• Raise awareness of other services available within the community and how and when patients can access them. Linking into the work of Neighbourhood Network Schemes, locality Adult Social Care & Community Mental Health Teams.

About You

As a Social Prescribing Link Worker, you will have a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (Health & Social Care, Health Trainer, Health Improvement, Community Family Worker, Psychology) or be working towards/willing to work towards.

You will have:

• Demonstrable commitment to professional and personal development
• Experience of working directly in a community based context (including unpaid work)
• Experience of supporting people with a mental health need and or complexities/vulnerabilities

About the role

The Principal & International Giving (PIG) team is responsible for securing principal and transformational gifts of £5m+, and high-level gifts of £50k+ from across the international philanthropy portfolio.

The Business Support Manager provides critical operational, programme and business support and management to enable the continued success and evolution of the Principal and International Giving programme.

This is a fast-paced and varied role, spanning business operations, cross-team coordination, and international activity management. The postholder will work closely with the Principal Giving and International Philanthropy teams and sit within the wider Business Operations unit, ensuring P&A operates in an efficient, joined-up and high-performing way. They will therefore report to the Senior Business Manager, with their day-to-day activity supporting the Associate Director of Principal & International Giving and the Head of Philanthropy (International).

The role suits an ambitious self-starter who enjoys working with people, processes, and systems; can manage complexity and competing priorities; and can act as an active enabler and connector, bringing together the right people at the right time to support fundraising success.

This is a full-time post (35 hours per week) and you will be offered an indefinite contract. P&A has a hybrid working approach, with a minimum of 40% of time in the office. Typically, this equates to two days per week, but we’re very happy for colleagues to be in more frequently if they so wish.
