Prospect Research and Data Lead

You will help develop the data systems, prospect research and development capability required to support an ambitious and expanding advancement programme. You will also play a key role in supporting donor stewardship and ensuring appropriate oversight of reputational and compliance considerations.

You will be responsible for the full prospect management cycle: building and expanding the pipeline through proactive identification, developing capacity rating frameworks, producing high-quality research briefings for leadership, and providing due diligence and gift acceptance analysis that safeguards the Trust's reputation. As the organisation's database lead and GDPR lead, you will also be responsible for the integrity, governance and ongoing optimisation of the CRM, embedding a culture of data excellence across the team.

The Head of Research and Involvement is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering APF’s research and involvement ambitions. About the Role   

As our Financial Controller, you'll lead the day-to-day financial operations of the charity, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting and efficient processes that support our mission. You'll oversee month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, providing clear insights to inform decision-making across the organisation. Working closely with colleagues throughout the charity, you'll manage grant and restricted fund reporting, support annual planning, drive continuous improvement in financial systems and processes, and lead a small finance team. You'll also play a key role in ensuring compliance with charity accounting standards, governance requirements and best practice.

About you 

We're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA ,CIPFA or similar) with at least five years' post-qualification experience and a proven track record in senior finance or audit roles. You'll be confident leading finance operations, managing staff, and turning complex financial information into clear, actionable insights.

You'll bring experience of charity finance, including grant management, restricted and unrestricted funds, and Charity SORP, alongside strong skills in Xero and Excel. Experience with Fathom and Raiser's Edge (or similar CRM/database systems) would be an advantage.

Pension Scheme Administrator

Our client operates a Superannuation Society which his both an occupational pension scheme and a Friendly Society run by our client.  The scheme has around 800 members including 164 active members and assets of around £115m. 

The post holder will provide administrative support to ensure that the scheme is run as effectively as possible.

The post holder will have responsibility for maintaining various governance materials including the business plan, risk register, trustee policies, conflicts register, trustee training logs and other documents. In addition, the post holder will play a key role in preparing the Scheme’s Own Risk Assessment and assist with the production of the scheme report and accounts.

Affinity Trust is looking for an experienced Interim Senior FP&A Manager to bring senior finance capacity, challenge and insight across a complex, multi-site organisation.

This is not a routine reporting role. We are looking for someone who can quickly get under the skin of operational performance, understand the financial drivers behind service delivery, and help senior leaders make better, faster and more informed decisions.

You will work closely with the Head of Finance, Finance Business Partners, Divisional Directors and operational leaders, providing high-quality analysis, forecasting, commercial insight and constructive challenge. The work will span income, workforce costs, agency and overtime spend, utilisation, fee rates, contract performance, forecasting assumptions and recovery planning.

This is a senior individual contributor role, adding experienced capacity where it is most needed, to help maintain pace across key priorities, and strengthen the link between financial insight and operational action.

The assignment

You will be joining at a point where strong financial planning, clear analysis and senior business partnering are critical to supporting sustainable services.

Your work will include:

• Leading robust forecasting and scenario modelling across a complex operational portfolio
• Providing senior finance business partnering to divisional and operational leaders
• Analysing key cost drivers, particularly workforce-related costs such as agency, overtime, sickness and staffing ratios
• Reviewing income, fee rates, local authority funding assumptions, utilisation and contract performance
• Supporting tenders, contract reviews, business cases and service sustainability analysis

About you

You will be a qualified accountant with ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent, and substantial experience in senior FP&A, finance business partnering or commercial finance roles.

You will be confident working with senior stakeholders and able to bring both grip and judgement. You will know how to challenge assumptions constructively, explain complex financial information clearly, and turn analysis into action.

You are likely to have worked in a complex, multi-site or operationally demanding environment, where financial performance is closely linked to workforce planning, contract income, service delivery and operational decision-making.

You will bring:

• Strong FP&A, forecasting, modelling and management reporting experience
• Advanced Excel and analytical capability
• Credibility with senior operational and finance stakeholders
• Experience supporting budgeting, reforecasting, recovery planning and performance improvement

Experience in social care, healthcare, supported living, charity or not-for-profit settings would be helpful, but is not essential. Experience with Local Authority funding, high-volume staffing models, workforce cost pressures or interim turnaround environments would be particularly valuable.

We are seeking a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive, to fill the post of Employment Law Manager. We also welcome applications from paralegals with 5 years experience who wish to qualify as a solicitor (England and Wales).

You will be required to provide complex professional legal advice on employment law matters to our management team, national executive committee and members. Managing a team of junior colleagues and supporting their complex casework, you will advise on collective employment law matters and review first stage complaints.

• London starting salary: £53,726 p.a. rising to £61,115 p.a. in annual increments or Regional starting salary £49,663 p.a. rising to £56,081 p.a. in annual increments

Successful candidates for the Employment Law Manager will be able to demonstrate:

The main duties of the Employment Law Manager role include:

• Delivering legal guidance and representation on employment law issues.
• Providing supportive management for caseworker colleagues.

• Providing support to senior colleagues on more complex matters.
• Advising the union on legal aspects of bargaining or campaigning matters.

An understanding of the political processes in the UK and the role and work of trade unions is essential.

Main duties and responsibilities

1. Key areas

• Undertake training to complete the SQE or specialism in employment law
• Assist in legal research into past cases and documents
• Draft and prepare claims or other legal documents
• Assist in providing legal advice to SMT, NEC, members
• Keep up to date with new developments in employment legislation
• Assist in providing employment law briefings to PCS staff about changes in employment legislation
• Advise members and Reps on wrongful termination and unfair dismissal claims, including reviewing dismissal procedures and advocating for members' rights
• Assist members and reps in cases of workplace discrimination, harassment, or retaliation based on factors such as age, gender, race, disability, or other protected characteristics
• Assist with the development of the Unions policy objectives including the PCS planning process
• Assist with leadership in delivering the unions Legal and Employment Rights strategy
• Provide assistance with the unions bargaining, organising, campaigning, equality, learning and digital agendas
• Manage people and resources in the Legal and Employment Rights Unit
• Provide advice to relevant committees including assisting in the preparation and presentation of reports

2. People Management

• Manage work allocation and workflow, future planning and support for officer team/line manager

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Finance, this role will lead a large Financial Operations function, overseeing accounts payable, income and receivables, and finance systems teams. Managing a team of approximately 15 staff, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of efficient, customer-focused financial services, while driving continuous improvement across systems, processes and controls.

For a well-known charity in central London, we're recruiting a permanent FP&A Lead to join a high-performing finance team. This role will design and deliver accurate and timely financial information, supporting the decision-making process for stakeholders. The role will manage a Finance Business Partner and Systems Analyst and will lead on ensuring the financial systems and processes and fit for purpose, whilst collaborating across the organisation to build financial capacity.
