Salary: £34,400

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday on a rota varying between 08:00 - 21:00. You may be required to work outside these hours dependent on service and resident requirements including weekends and bank holidays so flexibility will be required. You will also take part in our out of hours on call service for managers. 

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Service Manager to join our service based in Romford . Our service is a Independent Approved Premises commissioned by Criminal Justice Service (IAP) based in Havering. You will support residents recently released from prison in a residential setting, helping them reintegrate into the community. In this role, you will support in leading the team by providing overall leadership to the service and line management responsibilities to support, enable, and empower your team to deliver high quality support to our residents. 

You will also support some day-to-day team responsibilities, including providing tailored support directly to residents. As a Manager, you will help drive service outcomes in line with contractual requirements, ensuring quality and consistency within a trauma‑ and psychologically informed environment. You will work collaboratively with the team, wider services, and external partners to ensure the service runs smoothly. We’re looking for a solution‑focused individual with experience in similar service environments, who can create a safe space for individuals to learn and grow, while continuing to embed trauma‑informed and psychologically informed practice that puts people and communities at the forefront. Key Responsibilities Include:

• Line management and leadership, offering guidance and support throughout the employee lifecycle, fostering a supportive leadership culture focused on staff wellbeing, learning, and development
• Encourage productivity, engagement, and wellbeing of the team through regular check-ins, training, meetings, and supervisions.
• Support with day to day tasks within the service such as direct support to residents and supporting the team to deliver the best possible outcomes with their residents.

• Property and housing management, ensuring accommodation standards, timely maintenance and reporting.

About You

• IT proficiency - we use various systems so look for someone who can learn and navigate new systems including case management, Microsoft, ATS, HR systems, and other types of organisational software

We’re currently recruiting two full-time qualified Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) to work directly with young people in our Mental Health Support Team (MHST). For this post you need to have successfully completed the Education Mental Health Practitioner Post Graduate Diploma. We are also looking for people with an open and flexible attitude; excellent engagement skills and a passion for working with children and young people around mental health.

Responsibilities include offering CBT based self-guided mental health interventions to primary and secondary aged children and young people and their families. This involves individual and group-based support as well as supporting schools to implement a whole school approach. The posts have scope and opportunity for developing new initiatives and ways of working to support young people’s mental health across South London.

All posts are based on-site (office/school) and may require flexibility to work across different service areas and interventions. Some evening and/or weekend work may be necessary to meet the needs of young people.

The Shipwrecked Fishermen and Mariners’ Royal Benevolent Society – “The Shipwrecked Mariners” for short – was founded in 1839 and operates throughout the British Isles. Our primary purpose is to provide financial help to fishermen, merchant mariners and their dependants, both retired and of working age, who are in need. The Society has over 1,200 regular beneficiaries and receives over 600 applications for assistance each year.

To help us continue to provide a great service to mariners and their families, we have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us in the role of Grants Officer.

Our grants provide practical support for individuals and families that are experiencing severe financial distress and help them stabilise their situation during times of crisis. All our grants are means tested and exclusively focussed on those on low incomes (with little or no savings). A significant number of our grants are provided to those in retirement, however we also support those who are unable to work because of accident, illness, disability, or for compassionate reasons, as well as those who struggling to find employment. Our grants are used to cover a wide range of needs but are primarily aimed at helping people maintain a reasonable and dignified standard of living. We also help those who are struggling with debts as well as providing immediate support to the dependants of seafarers who have died at sea or during accidents ashore.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Worker to join our women only 31 bed space high support service. The service works with clients who have support needs which may include substance use, mental health and/or physical health, in partnership with other agencies.

The project provides a client-centred recovery based approach tailored to the needs of the individual which is gender specific. Staff promote engagement with internal and external services with the purpose of enabling clients to positively progress in their recovery journey. 

The role will involve:

• holding a case load 

• supporting the team with the most complex cases

• supporting and motivating colleagues by exemplifying good practice in working with clients, other professionals, outcomes, incident handling, risk management and innovative practice. 

• line management responsibility for cleaner and social work/nursing students

• providing advice and guidance to the team in the absence of a manager on site 

• representing the service at panels and other multi agency meetings 

• supporting local management to provide a safe environment for clients to build confidence and promote opportunities for positive change 

• supporting local management in the day-to-day running of the service 

To be successful in this role you should have a good understanding of the needs of homeless people and be able to work in an empathic and boundaried way with people who have experienced complex trauma.We are particularly interested in receiving applications from people who have an interest in/experience of working with women.

Working hours and days are based on a rota and may include, early, mid, late and double shifts (including weekends and bank holidays). 

About you 

The successful candidate will be committed to using, and coaching others to use, psychologically informed and trauma-informed working to engage multiply excluded and highly vulnerable adults to identify and achieve their goals. You will have experience of developing strategic initiatives that have proven results in improving the outcomes of a team.

Your strong emotional intelligence will underpin an empathetic approach to client-facing work and to working with a staff team that deals with highly complex individuals and situations on a daily basis. You will be able to demonstrate that you have a solid foundation of exceptional personal organisation, problem solving abilities, and initiative, to manage the responsibilities of the role effectively.

This is a key role at the front door of the service, combining operational coordination with leadership responsibility to ensure people can access support quickly and effectively. 

We are looking for an organised, proactive individual with experience in health and social care, who has experience of managing and coordinating a high-volume referral system or similar core service pathway.

You will oversee referral and allocation processes across the service, ensuring timely assessment, prioritisation and allocation to the right teams. You will manage demand, monitor referral volumes, and work with operational leads to address pressures and maintain a consistent flow into treatment.

Alongside this, you will take a lead role in supporting colleagues to improve decision-making at the point of referral, promoting high standards of practice, consistency, and accuracy in recording and allocation processes. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Wellbeing Service Manager to lead and develop our wellbeing offer for unpaid carers in Bradford. This service provides free counselling support delivered by student counsellors, offering vital emotional wellbeing support to carers. The service also trains volunteers to offer a compassionate listening service.

Key Responsibilities

Service Delivery & Coordination:

1. Manage referrals into the wellbeing service, including initial contact and triage of unpaid carers into the caring callers support offer or counselling offer
2. Assess needs and match carers appropriately with student counsellors/ volunteers
3. Monitor the progress and outcomes of counselling support
4. Support the coordination of wellbeing activities across all areas including staff wellbeing

6. Recruit student counsellors and volunteers in partnership with training providers
7. Deliver in house induction and training to students/volunteers
8. Provide ongoing support, guidance, and workplace supervision to student counsellors /volunteers

WorkWell Salford helps people with health conditions stay in or return to work by connecting them to local health, wellbeing, and employment support. As a Community Connector, you will work with the Wellbeing Matters team to support people referred by Primary Care and other local partners. You will meet with individuals, find out what matters to them, and link them to community activities, volunteering, and support that can improve their wellbeing, confidence, and independence.
