Night Support Workers enable people with particular needs to manage their tenancies and live independent lives of their choosing in the community. Night Support Workers are responsible for ensuring continuity of a support service at night and for keeping customers and the building safe.

What you'll do:

Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and creating a positive atmosphere
Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
Conducting key work sessions as required, that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals

We are currently seeking two dynamic Practitioners to join our Young People’s service (Yuva) in Surrey, working directly with young people using abuse and violence and their families. This role works within the Yuva team to develop and deliver intervention and safety programmes to families affected by Child to Parent Violence and Young People’s Intimate Partner Violence.

Domestic Violence Intervention Project (DVIP), a division of Richmond Fellowship since 2018, has been a leading provider of Respect accredited community perpetrator programmes working to stop domestic violence, increase safety for women and children, and reduce harm to families for over 29 years.

This role requires a robust and detailed understanding and experience of working with adolescent development, domestic abuse, child abuse and trauma, and the impacts of these on young people’s development. You will also need a good understanding of the nature of domestic violence and its effects on women and children, and on the parent-child relationship. Additionally, you will have:

• Experience of providing direct work with young people and their parents/carers, working flexibly but robustly and supportively, responding to challenging or harmful behaviour to facilitate change.
• Experience of providing structured one-to-one and/or group-work counselling or behavioural change interventions, and of working with both children and adults from diverse backgrounds.
• An excellent understanding of Safeguarding procedures and be confident working both independently and as part of a team, working closely and collaboratively alongside partner agencies such as Child Services and Youth Offending Services.
• Candidates with undergraduate degree level qualifications in relevant fields will be considered, alongside those with extensive experience working in the domestic abuse field with young people.

You will have the opportunity to play a key role in developing DVIP’s young people’s services, working in partnerships with a range of statutory and voluntary agencies to deliver effective community responses to domestic violence, in line with RESPECT practice standards. Day to day, you will be working flexibly across a number of locations (including regular days working co-located within Local Authority Children and Families Services, and providing outreach in schools and other relevant or referring services) managing referrals, assessing risk and suitability for therapeutic intervention, and engaging families.

In this rewarding role you will be working directly with young people and their parents/carers, delivering structured interventions to increase safety, as well as providing specialist support to other professionals working with families experiencing abuse, through provision of expert consultations and training.

You will be able to work independently and flexibly, including some early evenings, in areas where DVIP is contracted, for part of the working week.  You will be comfortable managing your own workload and related admin, and you will be able to communicate clearly with a range of people about sensitive and complex issues, including the writing of professional reports.

This is a permanent full time role requiring the post-holder to work 37.5 hours a week. The role will require working across Surrey and a driver’s licence/use of a car are highly recommended.

The Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre (Rape Crisis South London) is looking for a therapist with experience of working therapeutically with acute high risk presentations to join our Children and Young People’s Counselling Service as a Well-being and Safeguarding Counsellor. Working alongside play therapists, family prevention practitioners and school well-being counsellors, you will provide specialist therapy to girls and young women aged 5+ in hubs across the South London Boroughs. If you feel passionate about providing high quality, trauma-informed therapy to survivors of sexual violence and have experience of counselling young people, then this is the role for you.

We will provide the successful candidates with:

About Circles South West

We are an award winning independent charity providing services that prevent sexual re-offending by people who have sexually harmed, as well as support services for non-offending partners, family and friends impacted.  Our core service is Circles of Support and Accountability; a ‘Circle’ is a small group of local volunteers who assist the safe integration of an individual who has sexually harmed, meeting with them over a year or more. The Role

As a Senior Triage Officer - Children and Young people’s Service, you will be:

• Managing a team delivering initial telephone-based support and an effective triage service to those affected by crime

Lincolnshire Crisis Service have two houses in the county, one in Boston and another in Lincoln, we provide a range of support for people with mental ill health and both work to a recovery model. We have been operating in the area for a number of years and offer a staffed service to our residents aged 18 and upwards. This role does require you to work varied hours as the service is 24/7 and may include some sleep in shifts, these are paid in addition.

Derwent Square is a mental health project, that offers supported housing to 5 Residents. We are currently working to a recovery model and our aim is to provide stability and environment to learn skills that will promote independence in the customer. We provide a range of support services for people with mental health to access their local community, including living skills, support with medication management and peer support through individually tailored support plans. Our ultimate goal is to empower our customers with the skills for them to flourish in an independent setting.

Responsible for helping and inspiring the people who use our services to maintain their tenancy and independence in the community, we’ll rely on you to work with them to come up with a personal support plan that will see them achieve their goals and aspirations. Whether it’s developing their domestic and finance management skills or accessing work, leisure or educational opportunities, one thing’s for sure ‐ you will have every chance to shine.

No relevant experience is required as full training will be provided, although candidates with an understanding of mental health issues and/or lived experience would be welcomed. More important is your caring and compassionate nature and empathy and enthusiasm for helping others. Whatever your background, you’ll need to be happy to work both independently and within a team and willing to be part of a weekly rota system and available for on call duties.

As Team Leader you will ensure good clinical practice and see that the service operates within policy and statutory requirements. Bringing leadership to the team and providing induction, supervision, coaching and work and development reviews will be important too. We’ll also rely on you to help deal with performance management issues and assist in the recruitment of team members and volunteers. And, when it comes to developing and maintaining effective liaison with commissioners and service providers, again, we'll count on you. Managing the budget for the service, ensuring appropriate recording and data reporting and actively promoting Aquarius’ values and mission – all are aspects of this vital leadership role.

Ideally, you have a professional qualification in health/social care, youth and community work, (e.g. NVQ Level 4 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Candidates with proven experience of working in the substance misuse field and a commitment to complete NVQ4 Health and Social Care or equivalent will also be considered. Knowledge of alcohol and health related issues, including the functional model of alcohol use is essential, as is experience of staff supervision/management/training. Familiar with primary, secondary and other outreach settings, you're used to liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals too. What’s more, you have a good understanding of safeguarding issues, and are great at engaging effectively with clients. Good IT skills (we use Microsoft Office) are also required, together with a flexible, can‐do and results driven approach.

About the role

You will be expected to lead and deliver a proportion of day opportunity activities as part of the planned programme and as an opportunity to provide practice leadership to the wider team. This role also includes building effective working relationships with local authorities, be great at developing new partnerships and liaising on behalf of Hft as appropriate ensuring the reputation of the organisation is maintained. The postholder will collaborate closely with families and carers to ensure supported individuals have access to meaningful activities, and are able to develop social and life skills that will enable them to make choices and take control of their lives. About you

An exciting opportunity for a support worker at one of our low need Learning Disability services in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Amy Garvey House consists of 11 self-contained flats providing accommodation to male and female customers. It is a low-need service, and the job role will involve providing support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximize their skills and choices.

What you'll do:

This is not an exhaustive list of all the duties and responsibilities that may be required from time to time and is subject to change in accordance with the needs of Look Ahead.

- If a need arises, deliver all aspects of support to enable a customer to develop independent living skills as appropriate to the individual needs of the customer.
- Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation.
- Participate in the support planning and risk management, as facilitated by the lead Support Worker
