About this key role 

As our Finance, Benefits & Debt Coach, you will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users who will either be serving community sentences or have been released from prison.  This will involve undertaking assessment and action planning with individual service users and creating a safe and trusting environment, using trauma-informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users.

We will also count on you to deliver a range of interventions to service users which contribute towards the achievement of prescribed outcomes, including group work sessions.  Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with external agencies and working towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales and in line with specified quality standards are also vital aspects of the role. 

As an organisation that works with children and adults at risk we are committed to safeguarding, protecting, and promoting the safety of our clients. An enhanced DBS check is required for all successful applicants. 

Vetting process will be in accordance with Cabinet Office Baseline Personnel Security Standards (BPSS) and will include Enhanced DBS check. The contract also requires clearance through HMPPS vetting.

Your role will provide crucial capacity and support for the project to replace the finance system and review and implement new processes across Butterfly Conservation.

Main Responsibilities

1. Assist with maintenance of key reporting packs including Management accounts, Budgets, and Forecasts.
2. Assist with monitoring and reporting on Income and Expenditure.
3. Assist Grants Officer to monitor and report Income and Expenditure of Grants and Trusts.
4. Analyse, monitor and report on Project shortfalls and Chargeable services.
5. Assist with monitoring trends for profiling of income for Fundraising reports.
6. Assist in providing accurate Branch Management accounts.
7. Assist with year-end audit work including the preparation of schedules.
8. Working closely with the other Finance Officers to ensure accuracy of finance transactions and posting to be completed in a timely manner.
9. Be part of the team implementing a new Finance system and supporting processes.
10. Provide support and cover for other team members as required.

About you

You will provide high-quality education, care, and family support, ensuring children experience a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where they can thrive. Role Title: Early Year Professional (added area of responsibility) / Senior Practioner 

Hours: 35 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day Monday to Friday (Hours will include some afterschool wraparound, occasional evenings and weekends).

Salary: £28,392 (FTE) depending on experience and up to an extra £3,640 per year incentive for added area of responsibility. Potential FTE £32,032.

You will have experience of:

• Planning, delivering, and evaluating high-quality learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, supporting children’s individual development, curiosity, and wellbeing.

• Working collaboratively as part of an early years professional team to maintain and continuously improve the quality of practice, provision, and outcomes for children.

• Operating within a Key Person system, building secure, nurturing relationships with a designated group of children and supporting their individual needs, development, and family relationships.

Main duties include:

• Contribute to the responsibility for providing a high quality of education and learning, ensuring that staff are properly deployed, and to offer appropriate stimulation and support to the children attending the setting.

• Contribute to the responsibility towards drawing up long-term, medium-term and sessional curriculum plans which take into account the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and to monitor the effectiveness of the setting’s curriculum; this may include working with external professionals.

• Advocate for early years curriculum based on outdoor learning through play. 

• Contribute to the responsibility of drawing up and implementing the daily programme of activities and events.

• Comply with current Ofsted inspection requirements for achieving a ‘Good’ or above rating.

• Contribute and support the key person system, ensuring parents/carers are aware of their child’s key worker and that key workers regularly and effectively engage with their key children’s parent/carer.

• Contribute to the responsibility for the implementation of systems for observation and record keeping so that children’s progress and achievements are effectively and regularly assessed and to monitor the effectiveness of assessment procedures.

• Understand and appreciate the importance of monitoring and evaluation in a preschool based setting. 

• To carry out visits and inductions for new children and to ensure a smooth settlement.

The Role
Position: Dog Trainer
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Location: Homebased covering Northampton region (see map for area)
Travel: This role will involve regular travel within the geographical area which you will cover (Northampton). Travel is usually by car however there may be some use of public transport. Occasional regional travel and overnight stays.

You'll play a vital role in training assistance dogs to a high standard whilst supporting volunteers, partners and the wider team to ensure the health, wellbeing and successful placement of the dogs throughout their working career.

What You'll Be Doing

• Train Canine Partners dogs at all stages of their training, using positive and reward-based training.
• Tailor training programmes to suit individual partner needs during the matching process.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all dogs in training.
• Deliver partnership placement courses, supporting both the partner and dog through the transition.
• Participate in volunteer recruitment activities, including events, social media campaigns and community outreach.

About You

• Strong practical and theoretical experience in dog training and behaviour.
• Ability to handle and train dogs at all ages, using positive and reward-based training methods.
• Good self-motivation, discipline and initiative.
• ICT skills, Microsoft Office, Salesforce (desirable but can offer training), email, internet etc.
• Full UK clean driving license and use of a vehicle for work that is suitable to safely transport a dog if required.
• ABTC-ATI or similar qualification or the willingness to complete it.
• Good communication and coaching / teaching skills.
