Key Responsibilities will include:
· Leading the Charity's PR and media programme, identifying and delivering proactive communications opportunities that raise awareness, strengthen our reputation and showcase the impact of our work.
· Developing engaging communications and storytelling across press, digital and campaign channels, ensuring consistent messaging that supports fundraising, advocacy and organisational priorities.
· Building and nurturing relationships with celebrities, ambassadors, VIP supporters and media contacts, creating meaningful partnerships that champion Alder Hey Children's Charity and inspire wider support.
· Planning and delivering high-profile visits, events and campaign moments, working collaboratively across the Charity and Trust to create memorable, safe and impactful experiences.
· Working closely with colleagues across fundraising, marketing, advocacy and Trust Communications to deliver integrated campaigns, maximise opportunities and protect the Charity's reputation.
· Monitoring and evaluating communications and VIP engagement activity, using insight and learning to continually improve our impact, profile and supporter experience.
Other Duties
- Be an outstanding advocate for Alder Hey Children’s Charity in line with the core values of the organisation.
- Be an active and supportive member of the Alder Hey Children’s Charity team, contributing to the team’s development and working collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers.

Additional Information
In April 2025, the charity adopted a four-day working week policy. Staff previously working 37.5 hours now work 30 hours across four days, maintaining full pay while supporting a better work-life balance.

About the role
The Legacy Marketing Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of the legacy marketing programme, including strategy implementation, campaign execution, budget management and performance against KPIs. You will deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns that help reach new audiences, as well as unlocking the great potential we have within our committed supporter base. You'll be skilled in delivering activity that acquires, converts, stewards and retains legacy supporters to ensure sustainable future income growth. About you
To be successful, it is important that you have/are:
- Proven experience delivering legacy and/or fundraising programmes, with a track record of growing legacy pipelines, increasing conversion and maximising supporter lifetime value.
- Strong retention marketing experience, including developing multi-channel campaigns, audience planning and supporter stewardship strategies.
- Experience designing and optimising supporter journeys that enhance the supporter experience, deepen engagement and drive action.
- Experience delivering integrated marketing campaigns across direct mail, email, telemarketing, SMS and digital channels, including paid search, paid social, audio, print, press and DRTV.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience using data and insight to evaluate performance, optimise campaigns and inform decision-making.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
- Experience managing external agencies and suppliers, including creative, telemarketing and fulfilment partners.
- Experience developing compelling fundraising and marketing content and creative to drive engagement and response.
- Experience managing campaign budgets, forecasting and reforecasting expenditure.

The Biochemical Society promotes the future of molecular biosciences, facilitating the sharing of expertise, supporting the advancement of biochemistry and molecular biology, and raising the awareness of their importance in addressing societal grand challenges.
We are seeking a Governance and EDI Officer, on an 12-month Fixed Term Contract, to support the Governance and EDI team.
The Governance and EDI Officer will work closely with Trustees, the Senior Leadership Team, and other key stakeholders (both internal and external) to help deliver the calendar of governance committee, board and panel meetings ensuring adherence to pre-defined service standards and ensuring that all discussions, decisions and follow-on actions are recorded, communicated and actioned as appropriate, alongside supporting team members with EDI initiatives, including the Society’s EDI Community, the 2026 online EDI Symposium, Society involvement in the 2027 Minoritised Life Scientists Future Forum and organisational mentoring schemes.
The post-holder will support with administration and management for various Committees by compiling and preparing agendas and associated papers before each meeting, preparing Chair Notes and producing accurate minutes of meeting within the agreed timelines. You will also act as a liaison between the Society/PPL and Committee members on practical and logistical matters, such as supporting with expenses, as required.
The role will provide administrative support for the Nominations process and success planning, including Committee Chair, Trustee and Director inductions, along with drafting and reviewing policy documents and terms of reference. In addition, providing support on EDI initiatives with the wider team on the EDI Toolkit management.
Suitable candidates will have experience in Committee work, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders. What you will do
A year-in-the-life of our Largs-based Communications and Media Officer has two distinct parts. October to April - where it’s all about getting the word out there to support fundraising and encouraging young people to sign up for our life-changing adventures. Then it’s the summer - May to September - when the magic happens and you’re around the trips, interviewing young people and telling their stories. You can go sailing on the trips too!
You will be responsible for identifying story opportunities year-round, and writing press releases, media advisories or editorial content to pitch those stories to a range of media outlets, from local newspapers and regional broadcasters to national, charity, marine and other specialist publications, and facilitating inbound requests for interviews or other profile-raising opportunities.

About the role
This role will contribute to delivering Coram Children’s Legal Centre’s agreed programme of policy work, which focuses on immigration policy, education policy and children’s rights. The post-holder will play an important part in creating policy impact to promote the rights of children in the areas of immigration and education policy. Working with the Head of Policy and Practice Change, the Policy Managers and teams across Coram, the key objective of the role is to deliver policy work that has impact for children and centres the views and experiences of children and young people. The post-holder will work with CCLC’s lawyers, young people, sector colleagues, Government officials, Parliamentarians, the media and wider stakeholders to achieve change for children towards CCLC’s aim of promoting children’s rights in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

We’re looking for an experienced fundraising leader who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and take the next step into a broad senior leadership role.
As Head of Income Generation and Communications, you will lead Cosmic’s fundraising, marketing and communications function, with responsibility for sustainable income growth, team leadership and strengthening our profile. You will oversee a varied portfolio spanning community and challenge fundraising, corporate partnerships, major donors, events, volunteering and supporter stewardship, while also setting the direction for our communications, brand and digital activity.
This is a role with real scope to shape our future. You will work closely with the CEO and Trustees, lead a small team and external communications support, and develop a three-to-five-year strategy that turns ambition into clear plans, targets and results.
We are looking for someone with a strong track record in fundraising and income generation, experience of managing people and performance, and the confidence to oversee communications and volunteering strategically. You do not need to be a communications specialist, but you should understand how strong storytelling, supporter engagement and volunteer involvement can help drive income and impact.
Salary: £45,000–£50,000 | Full-time | Permanent | Hybrid, primarily based near St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington

Step into a pivotal marketing leadership role where you’ll shape and drive integrated campaigns for a growing organisation, all while working remotely. This contract opportunity gives you the autonomy to steer brand strategy and communications end-to-end, with the flexibility of remote working and the requirement to be based in the South West England area, and commit to 9-12 months.
About the Role:
In this role, you will lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of integrated marketing and communications activity across multiple channels to strengthen brand presence and support strategic business objectives. You will act as the central point for marketing strategy, brand management, and campaign delivery, ensuring consistent messaging and measurable impact. Working cross-functionally, you’ll align stakeholders around a clear marketing roadmap and deliver campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement integrated marketing communications plans that align with overall business and brand strategy.
- Lead end-to-end campaign management, from initial brief and strategic planning through to execution, optimisation, and post-campaign analysis.
- Oversee brand management, ensuring consistency of messaging, visual identity, and tone of voice across all channels and touchpoints.
- Create and manage digital marketing strategies, including content plans, email, social, and web activity to drive audience engagement and lead generation.
- Direct content marketing initiatives, briefing and editing content for multiple formats such as blogs, thought leadership, case studies, and social media.
- Manage media relations activity, including drafting press materials, coordinating media outreach, and supporting PR initiatives to enhance brand visibility.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure timely delivery of campaigns and communications assets.
- Monitor campaign performance using appropriate metrics and tools, providing clear reporting and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Marketing Communications Manager or similar role, with responsibility for integrated marketing campaigns.
- Strong track record in brand management, with the ability to maintain and evolve brand positioning across channels.
- Demonstrable experience in strategic marketing planning, translating business objectives into actionable marketing plans.
- Hands-on experience in digital marketing strategy and content marketing across web, email, and social platforms.
- Experience managing campaign timelines, budgets, and resources in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling messaging for different audiences.
- Solid experience managing media relations and PR activity, including working with journalists and media outlets.
- Must be based in the South West England area and able to work effectively in a remote environment.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working in a B2B or professional services environment.
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems.
- Ability to interpret analytics data and use insights to refine campaign strategies.
- Experience managing or briefing creative and digital agencies.
- Background in multi-channel content strategy, including video and long-form content.
Qualifications:
- Degree-level education in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline.
- Professional marketing qualification (e.g. CIM or equivalent) preferred.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development in digital marketing or strategic communications is an advantage.
