Overview
Barts Health NHS Trust provides maternity and neonatal care for women and birthing people and their babies each year, providing all aspects of obstetrics and midwifery care in our labour ward, midwife-led birth centre and home birthing service.
North-East London (NEL) (Newham, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest) Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) listens to the experiences of women, birthing people and families, and brings together service users, staff and other stakeholders to plan, review and improve maternity and neonatal care. MNVPs ensure that service users’ voices are at the heart of decision-making in maternity and neonatal services by being embedded within the leadership of provider trusts and feeding into the Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS) and Integrated Care Board. This influences improvements in the safety, quality, and experience of maternity and neonatal care. We work to ensure that every woman and birthing person on the maternity and neonatal pathway has a chance to have their voice heard. We do not speak for them.
We are recruiting a Maternity Lead for Tower Hamlets, who brings the expertise of women/birthing people with lived experience of maternity services at Barts Health NHS Trust into the heart of the development of every aspect of maternity and neonatal services at the trust.
The role of Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP) Lead is key to providing inclusive and collaborative leadership and ways of working, ensuring that all women and birthing people and their families’ views are heard and acted on. This is an exciting opportunity to review, shape and improve services and make a real difference to women, birthing people and their families.
This is a paid, self-employed job requiring 1.5 days per week (worked flexibly where possible). Working with the MNVP is an opportunity to become part of a vibrant team, improving care for our service users and enabling voices and engagement with our community.
The membership of the MNVP includes:
● Women, birthing people and families from a diverse range of backgrounds.
● Members of the wider community such as birth workers and charities specialising in mental health, supporting refugees, etc.
● Nurses, midwives, health visitors, doctors and managers.
This is a self-employed position on a fixed-term contract until March 2027. The successful candidate will not be entitled to employee benefits such as pension, sick pay, or holiday pay.
As a self-employed contractor, you are responsible for managing your own tax and National Insurance contributions. You will be required to invoice the organisation for your work at the end of each calendar month, and payment will be made within 21 days of receipt of a monthly invoice.
Please note: This role requires applicants to have lived experience of using maternity services at The Royal London Hospital and/or Tower Hamlets within the last five years (either by giving birth or receiving maternity care). The ability to speak Bengali, Urdu or Romanian is highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.

Harris Hill is delighted to be working with the MSA Trust to recruit its new Chief Executive Officer.
The Multiple System Atrophy Trust is the UK and Ireland’s leading charity supporting people affected by multiple system atrophy (MSA) – a rare neurological disease with no known cause or cure.
We are here to support everyone affected by MSA including people diagnosed with MSA, carers, family members and friends, and healthcare professionals.
We do this by offering a range of support services, information and education, funding research and raising awareness and advocating for people with MSA.
As Chief Executive, you will:
If you are inspired and excited by what the MSA Trust does, we’d love to hear from you.
Job title: Chief Executive Officer
Salary: circa £70,000 p.a.
Contract: Permanent / Full-time
Location: London, N1 with hybrid working in place
How to apply:
Please review the Recruitment Pack for further information about the MSA Trust, the CEO position and for details on how to apply.
Closing date for applications: 9am Friday 9 October 2026
Both the MSA Trust and Harris Hill operate an equal opportunity policy and commit to treating all of our candidates and jobseekers fairly. Help build the operational backbone of a multi-award winning charity that's ready to grow further, with a clear path to becoming our COO.
For seven years, one exceptional leader has held impact, organisational development and much of YUAF's operations, building the processes, funder relationships and team support that became part of the spine of how we grew. As they move on, we're not just replacing them. We're rethinking and widening the role.
This post exists to hold the organisation steady and take operational responsibility off the Chief Executive's plate, freeing her to focus on strategy, key donors and the funding pipeline.
What you'll hold
You'll report to the Chief Executive and sit on the Senior Management Team, owning income generation, impact and evidence, business planning, governance, performance management and the systems underneath them all. You'll line-manage four people: the Pathways Lead, Marketing Lead, Project Manager and Futures Lead.
Where the role is going
From month seven, this role is intended to move to full time with deeper ownership of income and strategy. As YUAF grows, and subject to income generation, we want this post to develop into our Chief Operating Officer role. We'd rather appoint someone who outgrows this description than someone who fits it exactly.
How you'll start
The first six months are a settling period at 30 hours per week. You'll learn how the organisation actually works, get embedded in the culture, and understand the programmes by spending real time with young people and the people who deliver them.
You'll build relationships across the team, with funders and with partners, and by month three, we want people to naturally come to you as a trusted point of contact.
We also want you to look at YUAF with fresh eyes. Where are the gaps? What's held together by one person's memory alone? Where does delivery quality drop, and why? What would make life easier for the staff doing the hardest work? Bring us both the diagnosis and the solutions.
The timing is on your side: November to February is our quietest season, when the Studio Bus is largely off the road. Delivery picks up again in March 2027, so the role builds in stages rather than coming to you all at once.
How to apply
In addition to providing your CV and cover letter, it is a requirement of the application process that you complete our Head of Operations Questionnaire. A link for this can be found on the attached job description.
Note
We recognise that AI is a useful tool, however, we will be assessing applications, cover letters and running through AI to ensure that it was written by yourself as part of our shortlisting process. So please take the time to write your own application, this is a serious role that requires critical and independent thinking.
The application includes 6 written questions of up to 300 words each. Allow approximately one hour.
Please see the link for the questionnaire: https://forms.gle/rLw6wYLTxpoHy58g7
YUAF's mission is to empower the lives of young people by strengthening well-being and building opportunities, through creativity and culture.

We want everyone everywhere to encounter God’s love and be empowered to transform their communities through faith shared in words and action.

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
You’ll be at the helm of a busy, welcoming centre that brings residential stays, day visits, camping and outdoor activities to guiding groups, schools, youth groups, corporate teams, families and friends. That variety is part of what makes the role so rewarding. No two days look the same, and that’s exactly the point.
This is a senior role with real scope and real responsibility. You’ll lead a team, set the tone for high standards across the site, manage the practical realities of running a working centre, and help shape its future direction in line with Girlguiding Anglia’s values and ambitions. You’ll have the chance to think strategically about where the centre goes next while staying hands on with the day to day running that keeps a place like Hautbois thriving.
We’re after someone positive, proactive and organised, who leads with warmth as much as with structure. You’ll need to be comfortable holding multiple priorities at once, calm under pressure, and genuinely motivated by creating great experiences for the people who come through the centre’s doors. If you enjoy variety, thrive on responsibility and want your work to have a visible, lasting impact, this role offers all of that in abundance.
The role is based at Hautbois, right in the Norfolk countryside. Flexible working may be possible where it suits the business, though some evenings and weekends will be part of the job given the nature of a residential site. The centre isn’t easily reached by public transport, so a car and full driving licence are essential for commuting and the occasional meeting further afield.
In return, you’ll get free parking, office drinks and snacks, a holiday allowance that grows with your length of service, and modern IT and working facilities to support you in the role.
This role might also suit candidates with backgrounds as an activities manager, camp manager, adventure manager, outdoor learning manager or residential centre manager.

Your ability to interpret data—tracking conversion metrics from web clicks to confirmed bookings—will help maximise the venue’s commercial potential.
Collaboration is central to this role. You’ll work with the Marketing & Communications team to deliver compelling campaigns, build relationships with local businesses and community partners, and champion The Engine Shed’s sustainability credentials. You’ll also work closely with University Estates, Campus Services, elected officers, and SU leadership to ensure the venue continues to evolve in line with student needs and organisational strategy.
As the designated Premises Supervisor, you’ll ensure full compliance with the Licensing Act 2003, conduct regular risk assessments, and lead staff training on health and safety and emergency protocols.
If you’re an experienced venue operator with creativity, commercial instinct, and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences, we’d love to hear from you. Join us and help shape the next chapter of The Engine Shed—where community, innovation, and unforgettable moments come together.
