You will support people experiencing a range of complex challenges, including severe mental health difficulties, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, psychotic experiences and substance misuse, using de-escalation and other appropriate non-clinical interventions. Working within the boundaries of the role, you will assess risks, develop and review safety plans, collaborate with external agencies and escalate concerns when specialist, clinical or emergency intervention is required. You will also play an important role in helping residents develop practical life skills, prepare for discharge and create sustainable plans for maintaining their wellbeing and independence beyond the service.
