The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money to save the lives of people with cancer, everywhere. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. 

From funding state-of-the-art equipment and ground-breaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. 

We are a very ambitious organisation which has gone through transformational growth over the past five years. Alongside funding an existing programme of world-leading research, treatment and care, the Charity completed its largest capital appeal to date, successfully raising £70 million to build the Oak Cancer Centre at the hospital’s Sutton site, which opened in summer 2023. 

With one in two of us expected to develop some form of cancer, it is essential that we go even further in our fundraising efforts to support the essential work of The Royal Marsden. Therefore, we are delivering our most ambitious strategy yet, that will see us raising at least £215m over the 5-year period.

The Charity is committed its biggest fundraising appeal to date, for a new major development project in Chelsea. There is also an extensive portfolio of engaging projects outside of the capital appeals that help to support all aspects of the hospital’s work to improve the lives of cancer patients.

Job purpose

As Philanthropy Manager you will manage a portfolio of existing major donors and lead on building relationships with new potential supporters to secure 5 and 6 figure donations. You will support the Head of Philanthropy and Special Events, other members of the RMCC leadership team, to explore their networks, facilitate introductions and secure gifts.

Working relationships

HMC is seeking a confident and capable Community Manager to deliver our community-based 'Wednesday Service' for migrants and refugees. Our Wednesday Service is a multi-functioning hub, offering a warm, welcoming space for appointments and activities, and has long been the heart and soul of HMC's service. 

The Community Manager role is responsible for the coordination and delivery of HMC's Wednesday Service, including the management of all volunteers involved in the delivery of the service and oversight of our popular Holistic Advocacy service, delivered by volunteers.

Senior Corporate Development Manager, External Engagement

- starting at £42,562 rising to £46,703 FTE per annum (pro rata for part-time hours)

Help tackle loneliness among older people in care homes

Thousands of older people living in care homes receive few or no visitors. Friends for Life Bedfordshire exists to change that.

Through our befriending and group activities, we bring companionship, connection and meaningful relationships to care home residents across Bedford and the surrounding area.

We are now looking for a Manager to lead the charity through a period of growth and transition – expanding our reach, strengthening our team, improving our delivery whilst building a sustainable future.

About Friends for Life Bedfordshire

We are a Bedford-based charity working to address the social isolation of older residents in Bedfordshire’s care homes.

Founded in 2007, we have grown from a small local initiative to a registered charity with c90 volunteers supporting more than 30 care homes across Bedford Borough. In the last year, over 1,100 care home residents received our services.

The Role

This is a leadership role responsible for the overall management, performance and development of the charity.

You will lead a small team which includes specialist leads responsible for fundraising, volunteer management, and marketing & partnerships.

Your role is to set direction for the team to deliver the charity’s strategy and business plan, aligning priorities and creating the conditions for the team to succeed.

You will also act as the public face of Friends for Life, working closely with the Board of Trustees. Whilst we are small charity and this is a hands-on leadership role, success will come from enabling others, not by doing everything yourself.

The Association for Mathematics in Education (AMiE) supports anyone involved in mathematics education through a wide range of resources, publications, CPD opportunities and events. We shape the future of mathematics by bringing the sector together and providing a platform for a shared voice to advocate for the learning and teaching of mathematics.

Leading the development and delivery of our membership and engagement strategies, you will ensure that AMiE is focussed on the needs and wants of our members, growing and retaining members and ensuring we fulfil our aim to be a strong and cohesive platform for people across the mathematics education sector to be supported, developed and heard.

As well as taking responsibility for member recruitment and retention, you will ensure a responsive and compelling member offer and provide strong and supportive line management to our team of committed staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and delivery of AMiE’s membership and engagement strategy, ensuring growth, retention and a compelling member offer.
• Drive strategic improvements in member acquisition, retention and lifetime value, aligning services and products with member needs.
• Build an engaging, inclusive professional community by shaping the member experience and overseeing effective communication across platforms.
• Oversee the use of data, CRM systems and digital tools to enhance engagement, improve processes and deliver insight‑driven decision‑making.
• Provide strong, supportive leadership to the team, setting direction, developing work plans and fostering a positive, high‑performance culture.

What we need from you:

Essential

· Significant experience in a senior membership and/or engagement role

· Strong track record of developing and delivering membership strategies that drive growth, retention, and engagement

· Experience in using membership data via CRM systems, data tools, and digital platforms to manage member engagement activity and maximise impact and efficiency

· Line management experience, including a proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams

· Experience in building and managing strong relationships and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders

Desirable

· Knowledge and understanding of the education sector

Skills and Qualities

· Self-aware and self-confident with a proactive approach to continuous development

· Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage with a range of audiences and adapt their approach appropriately

· Excellent IT skills, including the confidence to try new digital technologies

· An approachable and supportive management style, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams and role model AMiE’s values and ways of working

· Skills to analyse data and information, identify trends and gaps, and make tangible action plans to address them

· Excellent organisational and planning skills with an agile and flexible approach

Overview of Job

The Fundraising Manager will play a key role in developing and delivering Gingerbread’s fundraising plans. • Significant experience working in the public fundraising environment with specialism in one of the following: Individual Giving, Community & Events or Legacy & In-Memory fundraising.
• Experience in line management and supervision, providing support and leadership.
• Experience of developing donor journeys and delivering excellent supporter stewardship to retain donors.

We are recruiting for an Operations Manager to oversee the DRIVE project.

Drive is an innovative national project that aims to improve the lives and safety of victims and children, by holding high-risk perpetrators to account. The project combines case management of perpetrators with a co-ordinated multi-agency response.

The Drive Partnership, formed by Respect, SafeLives and Social Finance, is working to transform the national response to perpetrators of domestic abuse. They work to end domestic abuse and protect victims by disrupting, challenging, and changing the behaviour of those who are causing harm. Together they have developed the Drive Project to address a gap in work with high-harm, high-risk perpetrators of domestic abuse. They also work to advocate for systems and policy change- to develop sustainable, national systems that respond more effectively to all perpetrators of domestic abuse.

About the role:

This role is based in Cumbria.

As a Perpetrator Service Operations Manager you will oversee 4 Case Managers and 2 IDVA's. You will:

• ensure that all support and advice given is in line with Drive Partnership key messages and strategic objectives.
• contribute to the development of the Drive model through service reviews, supporting the Drive Partnership in delivery challenges and implementation of changes to the Drive operational model.
• act as a champion for Drive across the area in all aspects of development and delivery. You will be expected to represent the service at local and national events; deliver training and presentations as appropriate.
• support the Commissioner and Drive Central Team in identifying and securing resources and implementing future funding plans agreed for the service.
• be passionate and committed to working within a multi-disciplinary team and will have a demonstrable track record of working with complex need service users. This may be within the field of domestic abuse, and/or mental health, substance misuse and offending.

You will need:

• previous experience leading projects and developing new service provision.
• the ability to complete reliable and timely reports and meet deadlines.
• to be able to manage your own workload.
• to be a confident decision maker.
• to be able to ensure fairness and consistency.
