Our client is a charity based in Chelsea and Westminster with a mission to create world-class facilities, drive innovation and research, and enhance patient and staff wellbeing. This charity has grown an ambitious fundraising programme, from a £12.5m critical care redevelopment campaign to rapid-response COVID fundraising and a pioneering young people's mental health programme. Now, with over £19m raised towards Thirty at Thirty (a £30m appeal launched in May 2023), the charity is seeking an exceptional relationship fundraiser to help deliver the final phase of this major campaign and to oversee the philanthropic giving programme beyond.

Head of Major Gifts

London, SW10 9HS (hybrid, 2-3 days in the office)

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising & Communications, the Head of Major Gifts will lead the high-value fundraising activity, personally managing a portfolio of key supporters while leading the Major Gifts team (two direct reports and one dotted-line report). Working closely with the CEO (an experienced and active fundraiser), you will oversee a robust and disciplined prospect pipeline across major donors, trusts and foundations, and corporate partners, and you'll lead the management of the Development Board - an influential group of senior supporters and open doors to transformational philanthropy. The role will also shape and deliver inspiring donor engagement, from curated events and private tours to bespoke proposals, reports and stewardship communications, working in close partnership with senior leadership, clinicians and volunteers across the Trust.

To be successful, you will bring a demonstrable track record of securing six- and seven-figure gifts (relationship-led fundraising), alongside strong influencing skills. You will be a collaborative, motivating manager, comfortable setting direction and driving a high-performance culture, and confident producing compelling written cases for support, proposals and donor reports. You'll be highly organised, detail-focused, and able to thrive in a target-driven, fast-paced environment. Experience of the healthcare sector or arts sector is advantageous but not essential.

The role
This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in ensuring learning and evidence informs decisions and contributes to the foundation’s strategy. Sitting at the heart of the organisation, this person will support the foundation’s learning and evaluation work, overseeing learning and feedback processes, commissioning research, and sharing what the foundation’s learning with different audiences.

This person will lead on conducting both qualitative and quantitative analysis, translating complex information into clear, practical insights that influence real decision-making. The ability to draw out key themes, identify patterns and make thoughtful recommendations will directly support how the foundation delivers its strategy.

This is a highly collaborative role which will work across teams, supporting colleagues in funding, communications and resources, and contributing to shared initiatives with other funders. It will facilitate conversations and reflection, helping colleagues and partners learn from their work and to continuously improve the foundation’s work.

The person
The successful candidate will be naturally curious, analytical and will share in the overall vision of the foundation. They will enjoy exploring data, asking questions and presenting insights that can make a genuine difference. They will bring substantial experience of research and analysis in addition to having the ability to work confidently across both qualitative and quantitative methods. This experience will ideally have been gained in the grant making, philanthropic, charity or not-for-profit sectors.

This person will be a strong communicator both verbally and in writing and will be able to translate complex findings into clear, compelling narratives that others can easily digest and act on. Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally, this person will be a great listener and facilitator, able to curate open and reflective conversations.

Highly organised and self-motivated, this person will be able to manage competing priorities and see projects through to completion methodically in addition to being confident using data tools and systems to produce high-quality, accurate work to tight deadlines. IT savvy across all MS packages will be essential in addition to experience of Salesforce and data visualisation/analysis software being very useful indeed.

Thoughtful, intellectually curious and committed to learning, this person will be driven by not just generating insight, but using it to improve practice and outcomes across the work of the organisation and its community of grantees and wider networks.

What the job involves

Great creative work relies on brilliant production behind the scenes. As our Film and Photography Production Officer, you’ll keep everything running smoothly, managing the logistics that support our film and photography output. From planning shoots and coordinating the finer details, to ensuring consent and documentation are accurate and up to date, you’ll play a key role in enabling high-quality work.

You’ll also maintain an organised and accessible Digital Asset Library, making it easy for the team to find and use what they need. While this isn’t a creative role, it’s central to helping our creatives deliver powerful content consistently and effectively.

In practice, this could include:

· Planning and coordinating video and photography shoots, including schedules, call sheets, travel, equipment hire and catering.

· Working closely with our Senior Film and Photography Officer and Manager to make sure production plans support the creative vision.

· Managing key production documentation such as risk assessments, contracts, permits and licensing agreements.

· Proactively identifying potential risks, scheduling challenges or resourcing gaps, and helping to find practical solutions.

· Commissioning and onboarding freelancers, coordinating rotas and helping maintain strong supplier relationships.

· Making sure consent processes are followed properly, with accurate records that meet governance and GDPR standards.

· Overseeing the day-to-day management of the Digital Asset Library, including uploading content with clear metadata, usage rights and categorisation.

· Supporting ongoing improvements to the Digital Asset Library so content remains easy to find, well managed and compliant across the organisation.

What we want from you

You’re highly organised, detail-focused and take pride in keeping things running smoothly. While you don’t need to be a filmmaker or photographer, you’ll have a good understanding of how creative teams work and what they need to deliver their best work. You’ll be comfortable supporting productions so they run safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

About IKWRO

IKWRO –Women’s Rights Organisation (IKWRO) is an award-winning charity founded (as the Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation) in 2002. IKWRO is a registered charity which provides advice and support to Middle Eastern, North African and Afghan women and girls living in the UK, who have experienced, or are at risk of all forms of “honour” based abuse, including; forced marriage, child marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM), or domestic abuse.

We work with women and girls of all ages, including lesbian women, bisexual women and trans women. We offer services in Kurdish, Farsi, Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Turkish and English. IKWRO offers free advice, advocacy and counselling services and operates a refuge which provides safe accommodation and specialist support to single women at risk of “honour” based abuse, forced marriage and domestic abuse.

IKWRO also provides training for women and girls to help them understand their rights in the UK. In partnership with other organisations, we assist survivors of abuse with accessing English language classes and education, training and employment opportunities.

As well as supporting women and girls directly, we offer advice and training for professionals from the statutory and voluntary sectors, to better understand the needs of the women and girls we represent, the types of abuse they experience and to provide best practice prevention and support services.

We campaign to increase awareness and improve laws and policies to tackle all forms of “honour” based abuse and harmful practices including; forced marriage, child marriage, marital captivity, female genital mutilation, virginity testing and hymenoplasty, discrimination by sharia courts and to push for better laws and policies to protect women’s and girl’s rights.

Purpose of Job

The Fundraising Officer will work as part of the Fundraising and Marketing team and will be responsible for:

• Nurturing relationships with existing and prospective donors

• Sustaining and developing our group of individual and community-based supporters.

• Growing income, including regular giving, donations, appeals, legacy giving, community groups and other fundraising activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

New Business

· Support the development of a new business pipeline by researching, approaching and engaging prospective corporate partners across a range of sectors

· Contribute to securing income through corporate sponsorships and donations, supporting Back Up’s services and special events

· Work closely with the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager to develop and tailor partnership propositions and offers

· Support the identification and securing of corporate sponsorship for Back Up special events

Reporting to the Deputy CEO, the Head of Finance will play a key role in supporting the organisations’ ongoing work by providing integrity and efficiency across financial processes, systems, controls and reporting. The role:

• Provide integrity and efficiency in the financial processes, systems, controls and reporting across both organisations.
• Prepare statutory annual accounts in accordance with Charity and Company law.

• Monitor and manage financial performance including production of quarterly management accounts, finance reports and ongoing cash flow forecasts.

• Ensure compliance with all statutory reporting and filing requirements, including the Charity Commission and Companies House.

Join the Estates team at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability and play a key role in protecting patients, staff, visitors and infrastructure through expert fire risk management and fire safety training.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fire safety professional to act as RHN’s competent person for fire risk management, leading on compliance, training, risk assessment and continuous improvement across a complex healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead on fire risk management and support statutory compliance across the RHN estate
• Oversee fire risk assessments, audits and remedial action plans
• Provide specialist technical advice on fire safety, capital projects and building compliance
