Luton Town FC Community Trust is seeking to recruit a Community Operations Manager to play a key role in the coordination, delivery and development of its community programmes. This is a senior operational role, working closely with the Head of Community Trust to ensure programmes are well managed, aligned to organisational priorities and delivered to a high standard.

The role will combine operational leadership with a proportion of direct programme delivery, enabling the postholder to remain connected to communities, delivery teams and participant needs. The Community Operations Manager will also contribute to the development of new programmes and associated funding opportunities, support partnership working and act as a key decision maker for day-to-day operational matters.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Community Trust, the Community Operations Manager will provide operational leadership across the organisation, while maintaining a proportion of direct programme delivery to remain connected to communities, delivery teams and participant needs.

The role will coordinate and strengthen programme delivery; line manage designated staff and support the development of new programmes and associated funding opportunities aligned to organisational priorities.

The postholder will embed organisational strategy into effective day to day operations, acting as a key decision maker for operational matters and supporting senior leadership capacity. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Community Engagement & Relationship Building

• Build strong relationships with funders, local authorities, key stakeholders, local schools, charities, grassroots clubs and other community organisations.
• Act as a liaison between the football club and the local community.
• Promote inclusion and diversity through outreach to underrepresented groups.

2. Programme Development & Delivery

• Contribute to and support funding applications, programme design, delivery and evaluation across community programmes within each department including, but not limited to:
  • Education
  • Health
  • Inclusion
  • Football Development 

3. Staff and Volunteer Management

• Recruit, train and manage staff employees and volunteers who represent the Trust.
• Provide leadership and mentoring for delivery coaches, project workers, media team and match day staff.

4. Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting

• Track the impact of community programmes using required and appropriate metrics and key performance indicators.
• Prepare reports for stakeholders, funders (e.g. EFL in the Community, Premier League Foundation, local authorities), and Luton Town Community Trust Board of Trustees.
• Ensure compliance and governance with safeguarding, health and safety and data protection policies.

5. Marketing & Promotion

• Raise awareness of the Trust’s work through managing the organisations media output across various platforms e.g. web site, newsletters, social media and local media outlets.
• Represent the Trust at community events, matchdays, and public forums.

6. Fundraising & Grant Management

• Collaborate with the Head of Trust and Programme Managers to identify and apply for grants and funding opportunities.
• Build partnerships with sponsors, local businesses and charitable foundations.

7. Club Integration

• Work cosely with all football club departments, including first team players and staff, media and marketing, facilities and catering, and Academy to ensure alignment between Community Trust and Club.
• Manage the efficient coordination of player appearances and community involvement on behalf of the Club

Education/Qualifications/Training:

Essentials

• Strong experience in community development, sport development and youth engagement.
• Strong project and operational management skills, with the ability to plan, deliver and evaluate initiatives – prioritising and managing multiple priorities

In this unique and rewarding role, you'll be the welcoming face of Stella Maris in your region, visiting ships, listening to crew members, and offering practical, pastoral and spiritual support to anyone in need, regardless of faith or background.

About the role

No two days are the same.  You might spend the morning visiting ships and listening to crew members' stories, help someone contact their family back home, support a seafarer in crisis, or offer a quiet moment of prayer on deck.

You'll also recruit and support a team of volunteers, work closely with other maritime charities and local partners, and build strong relationships with parishes, dioceses, and port authorities.  You'll be part of a nationwide network of Stella Maris chaplains, supported through regular meetings, retreats and professional development opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Visit ships regularly to meet seafarers and fishers, responding to their pastoral, practical and spiritual needs.
• Provide practical help such as transport, communication access, and emergency or crisis support.
• Offer spiritual care to Catholic seafarers and facilitate the religious needs of those from other faiths.

We are recruiting a Young Adult Carers (YAC) Support Worker to join the East London YACs Project, delivered in partnership between Carers Centre Tower Hamlets and City & Hackney Carers Centre.

Young adult carers often balance education, employment and relationships alongside caring for someone they love. Many experience isolation, stress and limited opportunities. 

This role is about creating safe spaces, building peer networks and supporting young people to shape their futures.

• Provide one-to-one support to young adult carers across Tower Hamlets and Hackney 

• Co-facilitate weekly peer support groups

Co‑Design and Co‑Production Worker

Hours: 28 hours per week.  Must be flexible and be available for occasional work outside of usual work hours.

Co-Design and Co-Production

BDEF’s Director previously supported Bristol City Council Adult Social Care to create a Co‑production Policy. This policy was developed because there was no clear, fair, or consistent way for the Council to involve people with lived experience of using Adult Social Care services.

The policy:

• Is designed through co-production between Disabled people, Carers, Community and Voluntary Sector workers and council officers.
• Clearly defines consultation, engagement, co‑design and co‑production.
• Sets expectations for inclusive, equitable involvement.
• Has been fully adopted and approved by Adult Social Care.
• Is intended to guide all future Adult Social Care work.

Following feedback, Bristol City Council has now contracted BDEF, a Disabled‑people‑led organisation, to take this work forward. This, as part of this contract, role will focus on supporting, embedding and putting the policy into practice, ensuring that people with lived expertise are meaningfully involved in shaping Adult Social Care services.

The role will work closely with people with lived expertise of Adult Social Care services (Disabled people and carers among others), Bristol City Council Adult Social Care officers, community and voluntary organisations and BDEF colleagues. The role holder will work directly with BDEF Director who will offer advice and support.

The successful candidate will be responsible for running these sessions weekly, managing session staff, delivering engaging activities, attending occasional day trips, as well as responding to and reporting any safeguarding concerns. 

Key responsibilities will include: 

1. To lead the delivery of youth sessions at Knights Youth Centre (KYC) and facilitate youth provision in line with the ethos, values and vision of Oasis. 

1. To work and engage with young people (aged 11-14), by delivering planned sessions, activities and occasional trips for 20-40 individuals.   

1. Deliver informal education opportunities and small group mentoring within the identified sessions and the wider community.

We are looking for someone with proven experience supporting individuals with mental ill health and complex needs, ideally within a community or outreach setting. You should have the ability to empower service users to achieve their goals and aspirations, alongside excellent knowledge of mental health issues, including signs, symptoms, and treatments. The role requires strong assessment skills to identify declining mental health and take appropriate action.

You will need a solid understanding of health and safety in community settings, key working practices, person-centred support planning, and the recovery approach. Job Purpose

The Administration & Outreach Worker plays a joint role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the outreach centre while also providing compassionate frontline support to clients experiencing hardship or crisis. The role combines office administration, client engagement, partnership building, and practical support to further the mission and vision of the charity.

Key Responsibilities

Administration Duties

• Handle general office tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining organised records.
• Maintain accurate client statistics and confidential records.
• Manage incoming calls, screen enquiries, and direct to the appropriate person.
• Welcome and assist clients and visitors to the outreach centre in a professional and friendly manner.
• Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, email, and post.
• Support diary management, meeting coordination, and office supplies ordering.
• Use IT systems including Microsoft Office, databases, printers, and scanners to support operations.
• Provide general administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the outreach centre.

Outreach & Client Support Duties

• Provide one-to-one support to clients with compassion, empathy, and a non-judgemental listening ear.
• Offer appropriate signposting and referrals to relevant services and agencies.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of local support services and resources.
• Build partnerships with local organisations, agencies, and charities to advocate for clients and support their progression.

We are looking for an Email Engagement Officer build on the success of our digital mobilisation strategy and supercharge our digital fundraising. This is a fun and rewarding role that will manage our email schedule, drive forward our email journeys and support our fundraising appeals and digital campaigns.

You’ll plan and produce engaging emails that inspire new and existing supporters to take action, such as making a financial gift, signing a petition or reading a blog on our website.
