Location: Havering, Close to Harold Wood Elizabeth Line station. Step free access available at this service.

Salary: £30,400

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday between 09:00 - 17:00. You may need to be flexible on these hours as per service requirements.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Activities Coordinator to join our new Independent Approved Premises commissioned by Criminal Justice Service (IAP) based in Havering. You will support residents recently released from prison in a residential setting, helping them reintegrate into the community. You will play a major part in reintegrating our residents back into the community by coordinating and delivering high quality activities and programmes which work to support individual needs, working in collaboration with the wider team. Some activities may vary but could include days out and visits, awareness days/weeks/months campaigns, cultural celebrations and other meaningful activities to encourage reintegration and enhance social skills and community engagement.  No two days are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and meaningful work in a supportive team environment.

Some Key Responsibilities Include:

• Planning and coordinating individual and group activities and sessions
• Delivering programmes that support residents’ goals, personal development, and reintegration
• Developing and managing calendars of activities, events, and awareness campaigns to promote social skills, community engagement, and meaningful participation
• Collecting information about activities and resident feedback to see what works well and share this with the team to improve programmes and support resident wellbeing
• Running clinics, projects, and sessions, providing guidance, life skills support, and advice to residents as needed
• Building good relationships with partners and stakeholders, identifying new opportunities and creating an accessible partner resource catalogue
• Monitoring, evaluate, and report on activity effectiveness and outcomes, contributing to continuous improvement
• Supporting staffs wellbeing, collaborate with the wider team, and work flexibly to ensure smooth service delivery
• Identify risks, safeguarding residents and take appropriate action. Maintain accurate records, reports, and administrative tasks

About You

We are looking for someone who has a passion to support vulnerable people in making a change, supporting their rehabilitation and providing opportunities for them to make positive change to their lives, to reintegrate into society. You will have a general understanding of the criminal justice system, and/or have experience supporting people with multiple/complex needs. You will be able to plan and deliver a range of activities suited to individual needs and will be confident in understanding the needs of our residents to do this. We look for:

• Experience in coordinating and/or delivering activities and programmes with people from various backgrounds
• Ability to provide advice, support and guidance to a team and residents on various areas
• Ability to work creatively and encourage creativity in others
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral. Ability to form and build effective relationships and rapport with others
• Proactive in making decisions to deal with challenges and providing a solution focused approach and using your initiative
• Ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs
• Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents

We are now seeking an outstanding Deputy Fundraising Director, Key Relationships to provide strategic leadership for this vital programme. Reporting to the Fundraising Director and managing a team of 15 (with five direct reports), the role combines high-level leadership with hands-on engagement with major donors and senior stakeholders.

This is a pivotal moment for Greenpeace UK’s Key Relationships programme. Following a period of organisational change and restructuring, the successful candidate will help strengthen the major donor and philanthropic pipeline while shaping the future direction of the programme. The role will also play a central part in Greenpeace’s ambitious global capital campaign to fund a new ship and the campaigning work it will support, with Greenpeace UK contributing £20 million towards a €100 million international target by 2028.

As Deputy Fundraising Director, Key Relationships, you will:

• Provide strategic leadership for Greenpeace UK’s Key Relationships programme, overseeing fundraising from major donors, trusts and foundations and legacies
• Lead and develop a high-performing team of 15, ensuring the programme delivers and grows significant philanthropic income
• Maintain and develop senior relationships with major donors, funders and strategic external stakeholders
• Play a key leadership role in Greenpeace’s global capital campaign to fund a new ship and global campaigning programme
• Work closely with colleagues across fundraising, campaigns and programmes to develop compelling funding opportunities aligned with Greenpeace’s priorities

Ideal skills and experience:

The Trustees of John Wesley’s New Room seek an Executive Director to lead the organisation into the next exciting phase of its development. Overall Purpose of the Position

The Head of Programmes and Operations is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the organisations’ project activities and leads the DPI Programmes team, also ensuring effective and enabling line-management of Finance, Fundraising, Programmes and Operations colleagues. The role works with the CEO on operational, fundraising, strategic and monitoring levels and involves representing DPI at external meetings and events as needed.

Project Management

• Coordinates the day-to-day operational management of the DPI’s programmes, including the implementation of activities and financial matters – in close coordination with relevant colleagues.
• Monitors the implementation of project activities and ensures compliance with donor requirements, the organizational strategic framework, as well as internal procedures and policies.
• Initiates and facilitates internal programmes and events planning meetings (including designing the agenda and overseeing the organisation and preparation of materials)
• Organises regular meetings with the Programmes team to ensure project plans and donor requirements are on track.
• Keeps an up-to-date overview of programme delivery, reports any challenges, and suggests solutions to the CEO.
• Builds project budgets with Finance, monitors project expenditures, develops financial strategies and addresses financial challenges.
• Monitors the political and security situation in Türkiye and the wider regions, developments relating to the conflict and impact on the project.

People Management

• Ensures the effective line-management of the Funding and Development Manager, Finance Manager, Operations Manager and Programmes staff.
• Organises regular check-ins with direct reports, to enable effective management of workloads, ensuring priorities are met, and to facilitate professional development and staff retention.
• Works closely with the Funding and Development Manager to ensure timely delivery and monitoring of contractual reports, including interim and final reports to donors.

• Oversees deliverables and performance of the M&E and Communications consultants.

Networking

• Represents and promotes DPI’s work in varied contexts and maintains relationships with external stakeholders in Türkiye and in Europe such as political party representatives.
• Builds and maintains relationships with partners and donors alongside the Funding and Development Manager when needed.
• Carries out frequent visits to Türkiye and maintains a good working knowledge of the facts on the ground when needed.

Governance

• Leads on the planning of regular Board meetings, in collaboration with all relevant colleagues and the CEO.

Key Experience/Technical Competencies/Knowledge required for the position.

The successful candidate should have the following:

• A postgraduate degree in Political Science, Law, Conflict Resolution, International Relations, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 8-10 years’ experience in project management in charity or NGO setting.
• Extensive experience with line-management, and a commitment to fostering an engaging and inclusive team culture.
• Strong experience of overseeing the implementation of government and/or EU funded projects.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Critical and strategic thinking skills.
• Experience in research and complex information analysis.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Groundswell is seeking a motivated and values-driven Project Co-ordinator to manage and deliver our training projects focused on raising awareness of extremism, hate and polarisation. This role is central to ensuring our programmes are well-organised, impactful and responsive to the needs of the beneficiaries.

The successful candidate will coordinate the planning, delivery and evaluation of training sessions delivered to frontline workers, young people, parents and other stakeholders. Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Project Management & Coordination

• Coordinate the end-to-end delivery of Groundswell’s training projects, including scheduling, logistics and communication.

• Liaise with trainers, facilitators and partner organisations to ensure smooth delivery of sessions.

• Maintain project timelines and track progress against agreed milestones.

• Support the development of new training offers in line with organisational priorities.

• Manage participant registration, attendance records and feedback collection.

• Maintain accurate project documentation and databases.

• Respond to enquiries about training programmes in a timely and professional manner.

• Support outreach activities to promote Groundswell’s training offer.

• Gather and analyse participant feedback to support continuous improvement.

Organisation: Museums Association

Salary: £32,313 per annum (FTE £43,084)

Contract: Permanent, part-time. 22.5 hours per week across 3 days (0.75 FTE). As a progressive employer, the MA offers contracts based on reduced and compressed hours where a full-time contract is 30 hours per week, Monday-Thursday.

Location: Hybrid working – all staff are expected to attend office days twice per month (typically in London)

The Museums Association (MA) is seeking a part time Policy Officer to play a leading role in developing our policy and campaigns work.

In this exciting role you will have the opportunity to deliver admin support for our campaigns and policy, including Museums Change Lives, Museums and Climate Justice, Decolonising Museums, and anti-racism. You will support committees and stakeholders, help to draft policy papers and support the development and delivery of communication and dissemination plans. You will also have the opportunity to draft impactful content for our website, events and online learning, and respond to information requests to ensure that we deliver for our membership and the wider sector.

You will support and work closely with the MA’s policy and ethics lead, including delivering advocacy across the UK nations and have opportunity to develop a role in campaign areas where you have experience and/or interest.

The ideal candidate will have excellent administration and communication skills; knowledge of the policy-making process in the UK; the ability to research and write accessible, clear policy content for a range of audiences; an enthusiasm for museums and the positive difference that they can make working in partnership with their communities; and will be able to manage multiple individual pieces of work.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in East Sussex who support Young Carers, aged 5-18 years, who have caring responsibilities for someone in their family due to disability, long-term illness, mental health, or drug or alcohol misuse.

You will manage an existing caseload and new referrals, meeting with families and Young Carers to complete statutory assessments and providing short-term interventions that support Young Carers to improve their resilience, educational chances and wellbeing. This might be signposting to local services, action planning, one-to-one support, or our workshop programme.

Working closely with schools and Childrens Services, you will make referrals to a range of professionals and community services, ensuring whole family needs are met, and thereby reducing the impact of caring on the Young Carer.

As a CYP Coordinator, you will plan and deliver workshop sessions and activities, providing opportunities for Young Carers to spend time with their peers and recognise that they are not alone.

This is a full-time role delivering the service across Hastings & Rother and includes working occasionally at our Lamberhurst office. Some early evenings required. Own car essential.
