How we work
We’re a small but fast-growing team. You’ll join our staff team (and office dog, Annie) working day-to-day in the business, but will also engage with young people, our funders and partners, our Board, and many of the amazing volunteers who help us deliver our programme.
We use Slack, Notion and Claude day-to-day to keep in touch and support our work across the team. Our team works together in-person at least three days a week at GoodWork HQ, our beautiful space on Warren Street in central London where we host events, deliver training and work with our community.
You’ll need to be able to attend occasional in-person events, including possible evening sessions for which time off in lieu will be given. You should also expect to attend regular in-person meetings with our London-based partners.
Life at GoodWork
Making GoodWork a great place to work is hugely important to us, and as a small charity we’re continuously working to improve our offer. For now, our team benefits from:
Application process
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a 40 minute online interview with Zoë, Programme Manager, and Sajni, Partnerships and Development Manager, between 28-29 September.
The final stage will involve a task and in-person interview with Felicity, CEO, and Zoë at our offices on 12 October. If you get to this stage, you’ll be reimbursed for your time.
An offer will be made subject to referencing and satisfactory completion of an Enhanced DBS check. The successful candidate will start as soon as possible - ideally in mid-November - dependent on any notice periods in their existing role.
If you require adjustments to this process, please let us know by emailing us as soon as possible.
*Please note: answers that have obviously been AI generated, with little personalisation to relevant skills, experience and motivations, will be immediately screened out. You’re welcome to use AI to support your application, but we want to hear your answers in your voice.
