We are looking for a part time Senior Philanthropy Officer for a 12 month contract, to identify, develop and manage a portfolio of funders and donors including trusts, foundations and major donors, maximising income through the development of co-ordinated stewardship and relationship management.
This is a 26 hour a week hybrid working role, with minimum once a fortnight on a Wednesday in the Cambridgeshire office. Ideal start date is mid May.

Support the team to deliver c£400k income target, through strong managent and stewardship a portfolio of trusts, foundations and major donors, with a strong focus on the the trust fundraising.
Identify, research and submit high quality applications to charitable trusts, foundations, major donors and organisations.
Identify tangible packages for funders to support and work closely with senior colleagues and members of other teams to develop content for applications and reporting.
Contribute to the effective delivery and development of the fundraising strategy.
The Candidate
Experience raising four/five figure income through trusts and/or major donors.
Ability to identify and research prospects, and move them through the philanthropy giving cycle to cultivate and maintain long term relationships.
Experience of producing funding proposals, bid writing or producing tender documents.
Experience of developing strong cases for support and compelling propositions.
Ability to analyse and interpret financial and operational statistics and other complex data sets.

About the role
The Senior Advice Worker – SEND will be the specialist and subject expert in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and kinship care. You’ll provide 1:1 advice directly to kinship carers on all issues that impact on their caring role.
You will often be supporting kinship carers in high crisis. It will be part of your job to calm a situation quickly and support people to communicate what they need so you can provide personalised in-depth advice.
You’ll provide advice by phone, video calls and email, but you’ll also need to be able to respond to text, WhatsApp and online chat and other channels as we develop the service.
You’ll specialise in providing advice and information to enable kinship carers to support children with SEND needs, including speech, language and communication difficulties, social, emotional and mental health challenges, specific learning difficulties, and autism.
This will include advice and casework to support kinship carers to navigate the education system, understand Education, Health and Care Plan processes and access support from schools, children’s services and CAMHS.
As subject expert, you’ll provide expert input to the development of written information and resources and the development and delivery of specialist training for kinship carers.
Key responsibilities include:
Proactively update colleagues across Kinship on relevant updates in the SEND landscape, providing guidance to teams.
Work closely with training colleagues to develop, create and occasionally lead training sessions to support kinship carers to navigate the SEND system.
Essential requirements include:
Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience of delivering in-depth advice work on complex social welfare legal issues (e.g. benefits, housing, education or social care) to members of the public.
Experience of giving both telephone and written advice.
Either significant knowledge of and expertise in the SEND system and SEND-related issues, with the ability to develop expertise in kinship care advice; or, Significant knowledge of and expertise in kinship care advice, with substantial knowledge of SEND-related advice issues and the ability to become an expert in SEND advice for kinship carers.
A demonstrable knowledge of relevant sources of advice and information.
Knowledge and evidence of good understanding of safeguarding issues and good practice.
Proven understanding of the importance of confidentiality and a non-judgmental approach.
Experience and confidence in development of resources
Experience of effective management and supervision of staff, projects and/or services.

Responsibilities
Financial & Grant Coordination
Support Epic’s bi-annual grantmaking process, including but not limited to drafting and distributing grant agreements and archiving documentation.
Manage the process of financial reporting from Epic’s portfolio organisations, coordinating with the Operations and Programs teams to verify compliance with Epic’s reporting requirements.

On our structured Traineeship scheme, you’ll gain first-hand experience and on-the-job training in what we do. You’ll be expected to work full time on a rota basis. The Critical Time Intervention (CTI) Worker will provide person centred assistance during the transition from custody to community integration. By following the Critical Time Intervention model the CTI Worker will collaborate with a range of services to enable the individual to access them and use a range of appropriate interventions to assist the individual to become more independent and connected.

The Wave Project transforms young lives - in 2025 we supported more than 2,600 surfers through our Surf Therapy, Surf Club and Adaptive surfing programmes.

GMRC is seeking a highly skilled, trauma informed and compassionate Senior Counsellor to join our therapeutic services team. This is a crucial role offering specialist counselling to women affected by rape and sexual abuse, while also contributing to the leadership, development and quality assurance of our counselling service.
As Senior Counsellor, you will deliver high‑quality, trauma‑informed one‑to‑one counselling, carry out assessments, manage a clinical caseload, and provide guidance to volunteer and trainee counsellors. You will work closely with the Counselling and Services Manager to support service coordination, safeguarding, risk management and continuous service improvement.
We are looking for someone who brings strong clinical experience, deep understanding of trauma and gender‑based violence, and a genuine commitment to empowering survivors. You will be organised, reflective, emotionally resilient, and confident working both independently and as part of a team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our therapeutic services remain safe, accessible, inclusive and survivor‑centred.

Barnardo's are seeking to recruit a full-time (37 hours a week) Community Wellbeing Mentor who shares our commitment and vision to develop an outstanding service and embed Barnardo's basis and values in all we do. This position sits within the Surrey Community Wellbeing Team (CWT) covering Waverley, Woking, Surrey Heath and Spelthorne.
As a Wellbeing Mentor, you will hold a rolling caseload of up to 15 children and young people (6-18 years old) and will provide early intervention/support to them who are experiencing low emotional health and wellbeing. This may present itself in many different ways such as feeling lonely, isolated, unhappy, or anxious, having low mood or experiencing stress and can come from multiple causes. Wellbeing Mentors will provide a hybrid model of support involving direct face to face and virtual sessions, working collaboratively with a solution focussed strength-based approach to support children and young people to improve their emotional wellbeing and resilience.
Part of this role will involve supporting the school-based community wellbeing mentor to co-facilitate one of our B-Connected 6-week courses that take place within local schools. This course covers: Anxiety, Emotional literacy & regulation, Confidence and self-esteem, Friendships/relationships, Low mood, Anxieties around school attendance or transition and Resilience.
The Community Wellbeing Team operates within a Thrive Framework where choice and shared decision making is fundamental. It is a relational model, and we hold a non-judgmental and trusting relationship between the staff member, children, young people, and parents, which is crucial to their ongoing wellbeing. You will receive training on the Thrive model at the start of your employment.

The office base (Surrey Wellbeing Hub) for this role is in Leatherhead in Surrey. Although the role is office-based with the ability to work from home, it is essential to meet the needs of the service to travel around Surrey (Waverley, Woking, Surrey Heath and Spelthorne) when necessary. Due to this, access to a vehicle and a valid driving licence will be essential. Car insurance must include business use and be in place before starting with the service. The office base (Surrey Wellbeing Hub) for this role is currently in Leatherhead, Surrey and there is a requirement to regularly attend meetings and collect resources from this location. This base determines your normal deductible commute.
Barnardo's offer their staff regular supervision, external clinical supervision and give all colleagues access to at least three learning days a year. Barnardo's University (BU) facilitate a range of opportunities which will be available through B-learning online and the BU prospectus. However, staff can use this time in a way that works for them – for instance to spend a day shadowing another team.
