Childhood First enables children and young people to recover from early life abuse and relational trauma, to enjoy life and to achieve their potential. This is a senior leadership and therapeutic role within Childhood First’s provision of services for children and young people with complex needs. As the Deputy Director, you will work closely with the Director (Registered Manager) to ensure effective leadership and day to day management of the services and community.

You will join a team managing Galop’s specialist advocacy services, providing support to LGBT+ victims and survivors of abuse and violence in the UK, with a specialist focus on hate crime and hate-motivated abuse. You will work within the advocacy management team to deliver advice, support, and advocacy to thousands of LGBT+ victims and survivors of interpersonal abuse and violence each year.
You will manage a team of specialist advocates and triage workers providing needs-led support, information and advocacy to LGBT+ survivors of a range of violence and abuse. You will work with the Head of Advocacy and other advocacy managers to ensure that survivors have access to needs-led, timely support that is right for them, maintaining high quality, consistent support across our advocacy and one-to-one support, whether that is in-person or remote.
You will have an in depth understanding of the spectrum of violence and abuse that LGBT+ people are subjected to, including the causes, impact and barriers to accessing services. You will use your expertise to represent Galop with key stakeholders, advocating for the needs of the community.
You will also have management and oversight of the CATCH Partnership, a pan-London consortium of by-and-for hate crime support services, that cover all protected strands of hate crime across race, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation and transgender status. You will need to have excellent partner management skills and be able to lead and support a diverse range of organisations with an understanding of their specific needs and challenges.
You will be responsible for ensuring that data collected about the service is collected consistently and use this to report to funders. About the role
We’re looking for a Social Worker to support children and young people diagnosed with cancer in our Scotland Team.
We pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality support tailored to the needs of the children and young people and their families using a needs based assessment framework. The work we do is rewarding but also complex and demanding. You will be part of a close-knit Young Lives vs Cancer social work team, working with an established NHS multi-disciplinary team and services in the community.
This role is part home, part site-based. Your contractual base will be both Home and Hospital.

About the role
With a new strategy in its early stages, growing policy engagement and a clear ambition to strengthen long term sustainability, this is a pivotal moment for the Science Council, as we seek our next Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Working closely with the Chair and Board, you will lead the organisation to deliver its strategy with clarity and momentum. You will bring together and work with more than 30 diverse member organisations, each with different sizes, structures and scientific focuses, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs understood. You will also help to align priorities and deepen collaboration across the wider science ecosystem, building strong relationships with partners and stakeholders.
The role balances strategic leadership with a hands-on approach. You will lead a skilled and committed team, ensuring the organisation is well run, financially sustainable and able to respond to opportunities as they emerge. At the same time, you will be an external voice for the Science Council, building relationships with government, employers and opinion formers, and strengthening the organisation’s visibility and influence.
Central to the role is a focus on growth and relevance. This includes expanding professional registration, developing new partnerships and identifying opportunities to diversify income while staying true to the organisation’s purpose.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a leader who is motivated by public benefit and the role science plays in society. You may come from within the science community, a professional or membership body, or a related sector. What matters most is your ability to lead in a complex, multi stakeholder environment and to bring people together around a shared purpose.
You will bring experience of leading an organisation or significant function through a period of growth or change and have the credibility to engage with senior stakeholders across policy, industry and the professions. We need someone with a strong understanding of governance and the ability to work closely with a Board and the ability to balance strategic thinking with delivery, in a relatively small and agile organisation.
A commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, and to creating environments where people can contribute and belong is crucial and we are particularly interested in leaders who listen carefully, build trust and are comfortable working across boundaries. Above all, you will be thoughtful and collaborative, with the confidence to make decisions and guide the organisation through its next phase.

Employability Coordinator
Our team is growing and we're looking for a skilled, people-focused coordinator to join us in making a real difference for young carers across Dorset.
We are recruiting an Employability Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and deliver our Employability Programme, supporting young carers aged 14 to 25 through key transitions from school into further education, higher education, and work.
This is more than a programme delivery role. You'll be the primary point of contact for day-to-day activity, building trust with young carers, partnering with schools, colleges, and employers, and making sure every young person gets a consistent, high-quality experience.
You'll play a key role in growing the programme's reach and impact, designing workshops and events including our Employability Celebration Event and Careers Convention, facilitating our TEMPO group for 14- to 25-year-olds, and opening up 'days in the workplace' that show young carers what's possible.
We're looking for confident, organised communicators with a track record of delivering employability, careers, or transition programmes to young people. People who can engage a 14- to 25-year-old audience, build strong partnerships with schools and businesses, and manage competing priorities with ease.

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Social Worker to join our Newcastle Team supporting children and young people diagnosed with cancer.
We pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality support tailored to the needs of the children and young people and their families. The work we do is rewarding but also complex and demanding. You will be part of a close-knit Young Lives vs Cancer social work team, working with an established NHS multi-disciplinary team and services in the community.
This role is predominantly site-based with an element of occasional working from home as agreed with the line manager. Your contractual base will be both Home and Hospital.
