JOB PURPOSE
The Major Giving Manager – Trusts and Foundations will sit within the newly formed Major Giving team, playing a pivotal role in driving new business and helping to deliver £3.36m of income across major giving in the financial year 2025/26.
Reporting to the Major Giving Lead – Trusts & Foundations, this role will lead on new business development within the trusts and foundations portfolio, with a strong focus on identifying, cultivating, and securing support from new funders. The postholder will be expected to proactively generate and pursue opportunities, using creativity, insight, and strong relationship-building skills to grow a robust pipeline of high-value prospects.
This role will involve actively networking, attending events, initiating and developing relationships with prospective funders, and creating compelling, tailored proposals to secure significant new income. Alongside this primary focus on new business, the postholder will also contribute to the stewardship and growth of existing funders to maximise long-term value and impact.
Working collaboratively across the wider Major Giving team, the role will support cross-portfolio opportunities and integrated cultivation strategies, and where appropriate, flex to support engagement with individual donors. The postholder will also work closely with the Business Development Lead in Scotland to ensure a coordinated and strategic approach to prospecting, relationship management, and pipeline development.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and entrepreneurial fundraiser, with excellent writing and interpersonal skills, who thrives on building new relationships and securing income. They will join a dynamic and passionate team working to end child morning hunger and unlock opportunities for the next generation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES New Business
Lead the development and delivery of new business across the trusts and foundations portfolio, driving a significant contribution to the Major Giving target of £3.36m in 2025/26 and building a strong pipeline for future years.
Proactively identify, research and pursue high-value funding opportunities, using insight, creativity, and sector knowledge to generate a strong and diverse prospect pipeline, and working collaboratively with the Major Giving team to share intelligence and avoid duplication.
Take ownership of cultivating new prospects, initiating and developing relationships through networking, events, and direct engagement, and confidently progressing opportunities from early-stage prospecting through to secured income.
Prepare, develop and submit compelling, high-quality proposals and budgets tailored to funder priorities, with a strong focus on securing larger, multi-year and strategic funding opportunities (£50,000+).
Design and implement proactive and strategic cultivation pathways for new funders, including multi-touch engagement plans and partnership approaches with colleagues to strengthen relationships and maximise conversion.
Work cross-organisationally to identify, shape and develop fundable projects, proactively aligning organisational priorities with funder interests to unlock new income opportunities.
Contribute to the development of compelling cases for support and propositions, using insights from the trusts and foundations landscape to inform and strengthen wider major giving and philanthropic strategies.
Work closely with the Business Development Lead in Scotland to proactively coordinate and drive approaches to trusts and foundations based in Scotland, aligning on prospecting, relationship development, proposal activity and pipeline growth.
Act as a key driver of new business momentum across the wider Major Giving team, flexing to support pipeline development, cultivation and conversion activity across portfolios, including with individual major donors where required.
Account management
Successfully manage relationships within your own portfolio of trusts and foundations, ensuring timely reporting and effective communication.
Champion the interests of major giving and trusts and foundations across the organisation, ensuring grant conditions are met and project outcomes are achieved.
Support the team to deliver strategic, multi-year partnerships and steward key funders.
Adopt a relationship management approach that integrates with the wider Major Giving team’s stewardship framework – creating holistic experiences for funders who support across multiple income streams.
Flex to provide stewardship support across major giving, where necessary working to develop relationships and high quality stewardship with individual donors and family foundations.
Collaborate with the Business Development Lead in Scotland to ensure consistent and high-quality stewardship for Scottish-based funders, sharing insight and best practice.
Cross-Team Collaboration
Support our department approach to ‘one-team’ by acting as a bridge between Trusts, Corporate and Major Donor functions, ensuring shared insight, coordination of funder approaches, and alignment of messaging and impact reporting.
Work with Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships colleagues to identify overlapping funder networks and co-create engagement opportunities (e.g., joint briefings, events, or site visits).
Collaborate proactively with the Business Development Lead in Scotland to ensure that opportunities, reporting, and engagement in Scotland align with national fundraising priorities.
Contribute to the Major Giving team’s collective cultivation and stewardship calendar, ensuring trust and foundation supporters are part of key strategic engagement moments.
Management and Leadership
Support the development of junior members within the Major Giving team (e.g., Major Giving Administrator), providing guidance and feedback to maintain a high standard of proposals and stewardship materials.
Work with the Major Giving Leads and the Head of Major Giving to support the forecasting of income from current and potential donors.
Deputise for the Major Giving Lead – Trust and Foundations where necessary.
Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate restrictions, financial reporting processes, and project budget management.
Take an active role in helping to set, deliver, and evaluate progress against the Major Giving team strategy and goals, especially those relating to Trusts & Foundations.
General Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial, performance and account management records via Salesforce.
Represent the organisation at relevant forums, events and seminars.
Help ensure continuous improvement of team processes and ways of working.
Ensure all activity is compliant with fundraising legislation, GDPR, and child safeguarding requirements.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Knowledge and Experience
Proven experience of securing significant new funding from trusts and foundations (ideally £50,000+), with a strong track record in new business development, or relevant transferable experience.
Demonstrable success in identifying, cultivating and converting new prospects into long-term funding relationships.
Experience of building and managing a robust prospect pipeline, from initial research through to secured income.
Experience of working with databases (Salesforce experience desirable) to support pipeline development, tracking and income generation.
Strong track record of developing and initiating relationships with new funders, including through networking and external engagement.
Understanding of how trusts and foundations fundraising contributes to wider major giving strategy, particularly in generating new income and supporting cross-team opportunities.

Job purpose

We are looking for an experienced Policy and Campaigns Manager to manage our policy and campaigning work. You will have a strong understanding of the UK political system and how to influence it, and will be confident in drafting reports, consultation responses and working with and disseminating data. You will have worked on health policy before, and will have strong knowledge of how to influence health policy at local and national level.
You must be pro-active in your approach to monitoring the external environment and seeking out opportunities for Endometriosis UK to have the most influence. You’ll be able to work in a small team and understand how we can make the most impact with our limited capacity.
You will be passionate about menstrual health and ensuring patient voices are at the heart of all we deliver, and will be able to turn policy asks into strong campaigns.
About the role:
This is a pivotal role in our Campaigns and Communications Team, reporting to the Head of Campaigns and Communications. You will be managing the drafting of evidenced-based policy positions (for example analysing research, data and lived experience insight) and work with the Head of Campaigns and Communications to ensure these are translated into effective campaigning activity that drives real change.
You will oversee the integration of policy and campaigns activity, working closely with the Campaigns and Policy Officer, and enabling the Chief Executive and Senior Leadership Team to engage with parliamentary and high-level stakeholder engagement.
This role offers a great opportunity for an experienced Policy and Campaigns Manager to shape how Endometriosis UK uses evidence, policy and campaigning together to improve diagnosis times, access to treatment, and support for those affected by menstrual health conditions across the UK.

Job Title: Commercial Manager

The Felix Project and FareShare have recently merged to form the UK's largest food redistribution charity. Its vision is a UK where good food is never wasted, and nobody goes hungry.
The organisation rescues high quality edible surplus food, from across the food industry and gets it to over 8,000 organisations across the UK who are working to strengthen communities and improve lives.
The charity manages seven depots across London, Suffolk, Merseyside and Hampshire and works with 16 network partners who operate a further 26 regional depots across the UK.
Over the next year our ambition is to rescue enough food nationally to provide nearly 200 million meals, turning an environmental problem into social good with measurable impact for people, planet, and the economy.
Purpose of the Job
Commercial Manager will identify, develop and manage top food partners relationships and strengthen existing business relationships with companies in the food industry, generating value for the partner and to secure growing and sustainable volumes of surplus food for the FareShare Network. For designated top food partners, you will be their day-to-day point of contact with regular face to face contact at all levels.
You will undertake structured, strategic account management, leading and coordinating FareShare’s engagement across our organisation. This will mean agreeing and executing a bespoke joint business plan with each account to get more food, money and strategic support. You will also feedback on ways that we can better support our accounts and improve our services to them. You will work directly and be on-site with top food partners to help identify and overcome the barriers which exist to giving surplus food to people in need as well as increasing money and strategic resource.
You will also be required to work closely with FareShare colleagues within FareShare and across the UK in our partner organisations in order to identify and understand opportunities for creating mutual and shared value.
Duties and Responsibilities
Partnership Management
• Contribute to the development of consistent, structured Joint Business plans with
designated accounts that take into account food, funding and other strategic initiatives to drive growth in food, money and other strategic resources
• Work on behalf of the account to develop and embed services relevant to the account and agreed through the joint business plan – e.g. employability or store level redistribution
• Execute joint business plans and report internally and externally on progress.
• Research and understand your accounts, including key ESG initiatives, waste streams, key personnel within the organisation that will help drive its success and engage the relevant internal departments through both desked based research and face to face contact.
• Proactively drive account forwards and progress these relationships with regular on-site visits and linking FareShare exec with key contacts.
• Keep up to date with industry and charity insights and ensure this is reflected back strategically across ways of working and account management.
Project and Initiative Management
• Be responsible for managing and communicating key projects and initiatives to increase food volumes and strategic value, securing support from a range of stakeholders within food partners and across the FareShare network.
• Work closely with Supply Chain and Logistics, Operations and Network Development teams with the aim of optimising food out to our network
• Develop and lead FareShare cross-departmental strategic activity to enable us to derive maximum value from key food partners including liaising with fundraising, marketing and volunteering teams.

Summary
This is a new role leading the strategic use of marketing and communications to advance Challenge Works’ social impact mission and commercial objectives.
You will serve as the organisation’s senior lead on marketing and communications, acting as a trusted partner to leaders across the business, and reporting into a member of our Senior Leadership Team.
There are two key strands to the role.
Success in this role requires the ability to think strategically while moving swiftly to action. We are a small team and everyone needs to dive in and be hands-on.
We are entirely funded through our work on prizes, so our communications and marketing activity needs to show business results as well as supporting our impact goals. Our target audiences are a niche group: innovation teams within governments, research and innovation funders, philanthropic foundations, and other innovation partners and experts, both in the UK and worldwide. Success means building our brand in the long term to generate awareness and trust with those target communities while also delivering opportunity-led communications that drive conversion for specific propositions. With limited resource, all our channels need to work together effectively to maximise impact.
You will draw on strong relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively across Challenge Works, Nesta and external partners, while bringing the authority and insight needed to influence senior leaders and ensure our communications consistently reflect our ambition and expertise.
The role
The person
As with all staff employed in a communications role at Nesta, the postholder will also be at their best working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, have a flexible approach and an appetite for taking on new tasks and challenges.

About the role
We are excited to be recruiting a Programme Manager to join The Scholars Programme team. This role will be central in ensuring high quality programme management and oversee effective stakeholder stewardship across multiple geographical areas.
Programme Managers work closely with each other, reporting to the Head of Programme Management, to ensure excellent programme delivery across the UK. Each Programme Manager will manage a team of Programme Officers, who each manage a cluster of school-PhD tutor relationships. Programme Managers oversee all aspects of programme delivery by Programme Officers, ensuring key performance indicators are met. They will coach and support their team to deal with complex and sensitive issues from schools and PhD Tutors, becoming directly involved as a point of escalation. Programme Managers will be responsible for school retention targets and will identify opportunities to promote The Scholars Programme. They will directly deliver aspects of our provision including PhD tutor training, university events and tutor assessment centres. Programme Managers also lead collaborative work with other teams, providing strategic insight and oversight of joint processes to ensure information is disseminated and key actions are taken by the Programme Management team.
The role requires a driven and dynamic team player, with experience of success in programme management. They will be positive and pro-active in finding solutions, with a commitment to delivering excellent standards. They will champion the charity’s values and embody them in interactions with colleagues and partners.
While this role can be based in our London or Leeds offices, or be fully remote, it will involve some travel to deliver programme events at our different university partners and to attend in-person team days.
