Role overview
Shine supports a community of over 15,000 members living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, including 10,000 adults (25+).
You will be delivering high-quality support and creating opportunities for adults living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their carers, supporting Shine members to lead healthy, independent, and fulfilling lives by improving condition management and fostering connections within the Shine community.
This role will focus on adults (25+), you will be primarily working within the Adult Services Team. However, there will be occasions when you will work across age groups to ensure the best outcomes for our members.
The role is home-based and ideally you will live within an hour commute of London, within Essex, Kent or Sussex as you will be attending clinics in London and the Southeast as required. There would be occasional travel required across wider areas and nationally including attendance at events, conferences and meetings at our head office in Peterborough.
The role is full time 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday with working core hours 9am-5pm with some flexibility to cover events evenings/weekends.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver innovative support across your region to improve health, social, and emotional outcomes for members.
Attend specialist clinics to engage with members and professionals.

Role Overview
The Head of Partnerships and Development will lead Multibank Scotland’s partnership and development activity.
This is a senior, outward-facing role for someone who can identify opportunities, make clear and compelling asks, build trust quickly and turn ideas into practical partnerships. We are looking for someone who creates momentum and follows opportunities through, rather than someone focused solely on networking or stakeholder management.
The role will lead the day-to-day development pipeline across corporate partnerships, product supply, strategic relationships, expansion opportunities, funding proposals and supporter stewardship.
A central part of the role will be developing partnerships that increase the volume, quality and range of goods available for redistribution. Fundraising will form part of the role, but it is not primarily a traditional fundraising post. The emphasis is on building strategic partnerships that create long-term value, whether through goods, funding, services, expertise, infrastructure or collaboration.
The Chief Executive will continue to lead on overall strategy, major funder relationships, Board reporting, governance, finance and key organisational decisions. Overall Job Purpose:
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be instrumental in developing and driving forward DENS community and prevention services, during an exciting period for the charity, as we move into the new DENS Centre and relocate our Foodbank. As an ambassador both internally and externally, you will work collaboratively with the CEO and the wider leadership team to deliver DENS strategy and role model organisational values. With a focus on building and maintaining a strong network of external relationships, you will identify opportunities for growth and partnership working. You will be responsible for a diverse range of services in the community.
About You
You are a strategic and visionary leader with a solid background in the homelessness sector, a deep understanding of the challenges faced by the client community, and a firm grasp of safeguarding principles. To manage and support a staff team, including the Head of Active Recovery, a Counselling Lead, Nexus Counselling Manager, a Family Support Group Facilitator, and administrators.

The Head of Operations oversees all of BIAS’s projects, managing a small, high-performing team of project coordinators and frontline advice and community-support staff to ensure that we provide the highest-quality service to our clients. You will need to have demonstrable team-management experience, strong people and communication skills, and a willingness to take a hands-on approach to project delivery, along with excellent organisational and strategic abilities to ensure that projects are delivered sustainably, effectively and efficiently.
In 2025, BIAS expanded its successful Brent-based advice service and active ageing clubs into Haringey borough. The Head of Operations will take the lead on further building and developing the new services in Haringey, ensuring that we replicate our excellent quality of service, strong record of positive outcomes and loyal service-user base.

These are the basic duties required of the Head of Operations. BIAS is a local charity which has supported England’s largest Irish community in Brent for almost fifty years. We deliver our support through our welfare and housing advice service, our active ageing clubs, our volunteer project and our befriending scheme. We raise over £2 million in extra income for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged every year and have over 7000 attendances at our club services. BIAS has recently expanded into Haringey borough and has exciting plans to further develop its project scope and geographical reach, supported by sustainable and diversified grant funding, including from Ireland’s Emigrant Support Programme.
