What You’ll Be Doing

In this essential role, you’ll ensure our facilities remain clean, hygienic, and compliant with high clinical standards. You’ll work closely with the Operations Manager and play a vital part in maintaining a safe environment for staff and visitors alike.

Role Purpose

The Employment & Skills Manager will lead the development and delivery of our current and future Employment & Skills programmes, overseeing the successful delivery of the existing EFL Training Ground, Future Dons, DIVERT and Street Soccer projects.

A key aspect of the role will be to support the development of the Foundation's exciting new Health & Community Hub at the stadium, helping to shape a vibrant, inclusive space that promotes education, employability, health and wellbeing. This will include contributing to the creation of dedicated mentoring spaces and exploring the potential development of a Youth Hub in partnership with a range of stakeholders, creating new opportunities for young people and the wider community.

Working collaboratively across Foundation departments and with external partners, the Employment & Skills Manager will embed a consistent Work Experience and Volunteering pathway across the organisation, expand the Foundation's mentoring offer to schools, and develop innovative programmes that respond to local community needs while strengthening partnerships and maximising social impact.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the development and growth of Employment & Skills projects, including the effective line management of the Employment & Skills Team members. Leading various mentoring and skills development projects and sessions.
• Drive programme design, delivery, and quality assurance in consultation with stakeholders, internal teams, and beneficiaries.
• Work with key internal staff to develop and embed a clear process, pathway and framework for volunteering and work experience across the organisation. Training staff to implement an effective framework that supports young adults to take early steps into the industry.
• Regular monitoring of staff performance and development to ensure all are working towards meeting programme objectives and KPI’s. Building a high-performing and collaborative team, fostering a culture of resilience, togetherness and constant improvement.
• Oversee all programme budgets, ensuring cost-effective and compliant use of funds. Ensuring all programmes are delivered within budget
•  Monitor financial projections, reporting, and adherence to contractual obligations and funder/donor requirements.
• Develop and oversee Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning frameworks to assess impact. Preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders as required.
•  Ensure robust data capture, analysis, and reporting systems are in place across all projects. Utilising equality, diversity and inclusion data to ensure programmes align to the organisation strategy, supporting communities facing the greatest need and worst health outcomes.
•  Build, nurture, and strengthen strategic partnerships with delivery partners, funders, and community stakeholders.
• Represent the Foundation on working groups, championing our vision and mission to diverse audiences. Including local DWP, EFL and Schools and sport partnerships.
• Work with the Head of Programmes to identify development opportunities and service gaps within existing programmes, subsequently approaching suitable partners and/or funders.  Including writing funding applications.
• Work closely with the Communications teams to produce effective marketing literature and promotional materials to aid recruitment. Ensure success stories and case studies are captured.
• Responsible for quality assurance of the projects ensuring the needs of each partner are met. Regular monitoring of staff performance and development to ensure all are working towards meeting programme objectives and KPI’s.
•  Be the Designated Safeguarding Officer for Employment & Skills projects, liaising with associated partner Safeguarding Team’s to ensure a clear line of reporting to AFC Wimbledon Foundation Safeguarding Team. Ensuring all activity is suitably risk assesses.
• To create a safe environment and act to protect all young people and vulnerable adults that are either within the care of your programmes or attending club premises and report any concerns to the Safeguarding Lead.
• To adhere to the Foundation’s policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, Financial Authorisation, Confidentiality and GDPR.
• To act as an ambassador for diversity, equality, and inclusion, and demonstrate a positive commitment by treating others fairly in line with our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Policy and reporting any acts of discrimination through appropriate channels
• Deliver additional roles and responsibilities as agreed by Line Manager.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications:

· Hold a relevant higher education or industry recognised certification or have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working within Charity and/or football and sports industry.

· Mentoring, Youth Work or Health & Social Care related qualification.

· Institute of Leadership and Management qualification or willing to work towards.

· Emergency Aid and Safeguarding Children Certificates.

· Ability to travel to activity & meetings across London and surrounding areas / Full Driving License

Experience:

· Experience of working in a management role at a Charity and/or football and sports industry.

· Experience of designing, delivering and managing employment, mentoring and training programmes to achieve set outcomes. 

· Strong project management skills able to manage multiple strands of work to a high level.

· Outstanding track record in developing employment and skills opportunities for hard to reach groups.

· Knowledge of M&E and quality assurance programmes relevant to the industry sector.

· Knowledge of Community Club Organisations and Football Charity Programmes.

· Good knowledge of ED&I practices and policies, local demographic and social needs.

Role Overview

Starlight has a long and successful track record of delivering high-profile, high-value special events, including the prestigious Blenheim Ball, Newbury Race Day, and until recently, the Highclere Clay Pigeon Shoot. These events are supported by influential committees and have played a critical role in raising income, stewarding donors and connecting supporters with our purpose.

With a gap in our Philanthropy team and maternity cover needed until around May next year, this 9-month fixed-term role exists to lead, develop and deliver Starlight’s flagship events at a senior level. Immediate responsibilities are for the Starlight Health Play Awards a key stewardship event in October; and the development of a Royal Palace Event to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Starlight likely to be in November. There is also the opportunity to shape the Starlight Event Strategy, with the development of a new event building on the success of our Newbury Race Days and the development of our biennial activity with the Blenheim Ball Committee.

This is a senior, delivery-focused role designed for an experienced events professional who can hit the ground running. Working closely with the Starlight Team and Committees, you will bring leadership, strategic judgement and outstanding project management to ensure Starlight events continue to excel in reputation, income and supporter experience.

What the job involves

We have a great opportunity to join our vibrant charity as part of our Workplace (Facilities) team.

As a key ‘go to’ member of the team, you’ll play an important role in the smooth running of our London Bridge office, helping to keep everything safe, compliant and running efficiently day to day. This is an office-based role, reflecting the hands-on nature of the work.

This is a varied and busy role, covering a mix of facilities coordination and health and safety support. You’ll assist with completing checks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring our systems and processes run smoothly. You’ll also work closely with contractors, manage the ordering of supplies, arrange work-from-home equipment, and raise purchase orders. With support from the Workplace Health and Safety Manager, you’ll help manage the office security system.

There will also be opportunities to get involved in wider projects, including supporting the People Experience team with new starter inductions and working with the Communications team on office events.

Alongside this, you’ll use your strong organisational and administrative skills to support record keeping, reporting, insight gathering and logistical planning. Everything you do will contribute to making us a great place to work – wherever our people are based.

Key Responsibilities

Supporter communications and engagement

What you’ll be doing? 

The Better Together service delivers a community-based outreach, awareness-raising and personalised support programme to address gambling-related harm. As an Engagement Advice Worker, you will play a key role in delivering both strands of the service by raising awareness of gambling-related harm across Lambeth and providing personalised, strengths-based support to individuals affected by gambling.

1. Deliver a programme of community outreach across Lambeth by attending community events, local groups and venues where residents naturally gather, including faith settings, shopping areas, sporting venues, barbershops and culturally specific community spaces.

2. Build relationships with residents, community leaders and partner organisations to increase awareness of gambling-related harm, reduce stigma and promote the Better Together Service.

3. Deliver presentations, information sessions and informal engagement activities to residents and professionals, promoting early identification of gambling-related harm and available support.

4. Support the planning and delivery of conferences, networking events and professional education sessions, promoting the service and contributing to wider system change.

5. Provide holistic, person-centred one-to-one support to adults affected directly or indirectly by gambling-related harm and agreeing personalised goals to build on their strengths, access community resources and develop sustainable strategies that improve their health and wellbeing.

6. Support clients to access specialist gambling treatment where appropriate, including referrals to the NHS Primary Care Gambling Service, alongside wider support for issues such as debt, housing, benefits, mental health, loneliness, bereavement and social isolation.

What you need to bring

• Experience of delivering outreach work, including presentations to small groups and at larger events.

• Experience of networking and proactively liaising with external agencies and community groups to build strong working relationships.

• Experience of recording data and keeping records up to date and accurate.

• Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.

• Able to work independently and manage a varied caseload of clients and the ability to prioritise different areas of work according to need and deadlines, making efficient use of time and resources.

Aymara London CIC is seeking a passionate and committed Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) to join our growing specialist domestic abuse team.

As a lived experience led organisation, we provide culturally competent, trauma informed and survivor centred support to women from migrant and racially minoritised communities affected by violence against women and girls. As part of the Safe Horizons London Partnership, funded by MOPAC and led by Victim Support, we deliver specialist advocacy and support for women from Latin American communities across London.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting survivors of domestic abuse to improve their safety, wellbeing and access to justice.

About the role

You will provide high quality advocacy, risk management and practical support to women experiencing domestic abuse. You will work closely with survivors to develop safety plans, navigate complex systems and access housing, legal, health and other specialist services.

You will represent survivors within multi agency settings including MARAC, build strong partnerships with statutory and voluntary sector organisations and contribute to community engagement and prevention activities.

We are looking for someone with:

• Experience supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse or other forms of violence against women and girls

• Experience of risk assessment, safety planning and case management
