Based at our London Bridge Office
What the job involves
We have a great opportunity to join our vibrant charity as part of our Workplace (Facilities) team.
As a key ‘go to’ member of the team, you’ll play an important role in the smooth running of our London Bridge office, helping to keep everything safe, compliant and running efficiently day to day. This is an office-based role, reflecting the hands-on nature of the work.
This is a varied and busy role, covering a mix of facilities coordination and health and safety support. You’ll assist with completing checks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring our systems and processes run smoothly. You’ll also work closely with contractors, manage the ordering of supplies, arrange work-from-home equipment, and raise purchase orders. With support from the Workplace Health and Safety Manager, you’ll help manage the office security system.
There will also be opportunities to get involved in wider projects, including supporting the People Experience team with new starter inductions and working with the Communications team on office events.
Alongside this, you’ll use your strong organisational and administrative skills to support record keeping, reporting, insight gathering and logistical planning. Everything you do will contribute to making us a great place to work – wherever our people are based.
What we want from you
We’re looking for a proactive and organised individual who enjoys problem solving and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly. You’ll be comfortable managing a varied workload, prioritising effectively and using your initiative to find practical solutions day to day.
Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll be working with a wide range of colleagues, contractors and suppliers. You’ll bring a confident and approachable style, building positive relationships and engaging others with enthusiasm and empathy.
You’ll have a keen eye for detail and feel comfortable working with systems and information, ensuring records are accurate and well maintained. An understanding of how to handle sensitive information responsibly, particularly when storing and sharing employee data, will be important in this role.
Experience in an office coordination, facilities or similar environment would be helpful but isn’t essential. We’re just as interested in candidates who can demonstrate transferable skills, a customer-focused mindset and a genuine passion for creating a positive workplace experience.
Why work with us?
Every man needs to know about the most common cancer in men – prostate cancer. It’s a real and present danger that takes over 12,000 of our dads, grandads, brothers and friends each year.
Prostate Cancer UK is the largest men’s health charity in the UK. We have a simple ambition – to stop prostate cancer damaging lives. We invest millions in research to revolutionise testing, treatment and care. We’re blazing a trail to a screening programme that could save thousands of lives with regular, accurate tests for all men at risk. And we work tirelessly to spread the word about risk and offer specialist support to people living with the disease.
Work with us and you’ll see your efforts pay off as we give men and their families the power to navigate prostate cancer.
Our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion
At Prostate Cancer UK we’re committed to righting health inequalities across the UK, starting with those faced by Black men. This includes ground-breaking research into Black men's risk and working with communities directly to overcome barriers to the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer. To make this happen, we're dedicated to being an inclusive, proactive organisation, as we strive to be Allies to Black communities. We’ll achieve this by advocating and working alongside those communities to promote change. We're also working to be Allies to each other, not only protected groups. In 2024, we launched our New Allyship Training Programme. All colleagues at Prostate Cancer UK will be trained to act and identify as an Ally.
We've also signed Business in the Communities Race at Work Charter, as a dedication to our Black health equity work and wider EDI priorities. As a signatory, we're responsible and accountable for driving positive change.
How and where we work
Colleagues attend the office at least four days per month (pro rata for part-time colleagues) to collaborate, build relationships, and support projects and decision-making. You can choose where to work the rest of the time. Travel to the office is a commute, so we pay our own travel costs.
Additional in-person attendance will be required during your first few months for induction and training, to support you to learn the role and get to know colleagues.
We trust colleagues to work flexibly while balancing personal commitments with the needs of the charity, and we are committed to making reasonable adjustments for colleagues with a disability, neurodiversity, or a long-term physical or mental health condition.

You will be joining a supportive team where flexibility, trust and shared purpose matter. We offer hybrid working, a part-time senior role with real influence, and the opportunity to help shape the future of a respected local charity.
About you
You will bring experience of charity, not-for-profit or comparable financial management, with strong skills in management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, payroll oversight, financial controls and reporting.
You will be comfortable managing a small finance team, improving systems and processes, working with auditors and trustees, and supporting organisational efficiency without losing sight of the people and purpose behind the numbers.
Most importantly, you will want to use your finance skills in a role where they make a real difference.
Why join us?
At Carers Support BSG, you will find a warm, committed and practical team working to improve life for unpaid carers of all ages. We support adults, parent carers and young carers through advice, information, assessments, groups, wellbeing support, hospital and GP-based services, and community connection.
You will have flexibility in how you work, the support of an experienced team and the space to help modernise our financial planning and reporting as we develop our next strategy.
If you are looking for a finance role where you can be both hands-on and strategic, where your judgement will be valued, and where your work will help sustain services that matter deeply to local people, we would love to hear from you.
