Link Adoption & Family Support Service provides therapeutic support services for children, young people, and families across the UK. Much of our work is focused within adoption services, supporting adoptive families, children, and young people who have been adopted. We also provide therapeutic services to Special Guardians, kinship carers, and foster carers.

More recently, we have expanded our provision to support wider communities through partnerships with Barnardo's projects, health authorities, charities and voluntary sector organisations. Services are delivered both face-to-face and virtually across the UK.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Therapeutic Social Worker to join our dynamic therapeutic services team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Social Worker to play a key role in coordinating therapeutic interventions that make a meaningful difference to the lives of children and families.

Working within a trauma-informed and attachment-focused service, you will manage referrals from initial enquiry through to case closure, ensuring children and families receive timely, appropriate support. You will work collaboratively  with therapists, commissioners, local authorities, and families to coordinate high-quality therapeutic interventions and help achieve positive outcomes.

The successful candidate will:

• Lead the assessment, planning and case management of therapeutic support packages, coordinating referrals from enquiry to closure and ensuring children, young people and families receive tailored, child-centred interventions.
• Provide safeguarding leadership, by assessing and managing risk, responding to safeguarding concerns, participating in the safeguarding duty rota and ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Offer professional consultation and support to therapists and practitioners, offering guidance on case management, safeguarding, risk management and best practice, contributing to quality assurance and continuous professional development.
• Build and maintain effective partnerships with families, social workers, health professionals and partner agencies, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring collaborative, outcome-focused service delivery.
• Develop and maintain relationships with commissioners and referral partners, providing outcome reports, attending review meetings and identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and grow referrals.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the service by identifying and delivering new service opportunities, leading improvement initiatives, supporting business development, and deputising for the Practice Manager when required.

This is a hybrid role, primarily home-based with occasional travel for training, team meetings and service-related activities. The successful candidate will become an integral member of our multi-disciplinary team, working collaboratively to deliver high-quality therapeutic services to children, young people and families.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Professional Social Work qualification and registration.
• Experience of safeguarding practice and risk assessment.
• Additional training or qualifications in therapeutic practice, trauma informed approaches, attachment, adoption support, or related areas would be desirable.
• Experience within adoption, fostering, kinship care, Special Guardianship, or related children's services would be desirable.
• Excellent assessment and analytical skills.
• Strong organisational and case management abilities.
• Ability to manage a complex caseload and competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Social Worker to join our Newcastle Team supporting children and young people diagnosed with cancer.

We pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality support tailored to the needs of the children and young people and their families. The work we do is rewarding but also complex and demanding. You will be part of a close-knit Young Lives vs Cancer social work team, working with an established NHS multi-disciplinary team and services in the community.

This role is predominantly site-based with an element of occasional working from home as agreed with the line manager. Your contractual base will be both Home and Hospital.

• Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment, ideally in an NHS setting.
• Sound knowledge of child and young people development.
• An understanding of the impact of serious illness for children, young people and their families.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

They will understand relevant Mental Health legislation, the principles of recovery, and a variety of recovery approaches. The role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, support the induction of new staff and volunteers, and work collaboratively with statutory services. The candidate will bring experience in planning and delivering added-value initiatives, alongside excellent communication, partnership-building, risk-assessment, and case-management skills. Strong organisational, IT, literacy, and numeracy abilities are essential, as is knowledge of local recovery tools, wellbeing services, and safeguarding practices.

Prisoners Abroad is a unique UK charity supporting people affected by overseas imprisonment. We provide vital practical and emotional support to individuals in prison overseas, those returning to the UK, and their families.

We are now looking for a qualified Counsellor or Psychotherapist to join us on a consultancy basis, supporting a new Mental Health Support after Imprisonment Abroad project.

About the role

Self-Employed Counsellor Consultant

Self-employed consultancy opportunity with a commitment of 2 days per week and delivered face to face from our office in Finsbury Park, London N4.

Fee: £37,800 for a commitment of two days per week over 84 weeks of this project, running from August 2026 to April 2028. This is a self-employed consultancy arrangement and does not constitute employment. The appointed practitioner will be engaged under a contract for services submit invoices.

We are looking for a self-employed counsellor or psychotherapist who can provide structured therapeutic support, contribute clinical insight to an emerging model of support, and work collaboratively with our resettlement team within a clear framework for referral, safeguarding, record-keeping and review. Key responsibilities

• Deliver short-term, structured one-to-one counselling (typically up to six sessions per client)

We are now recruiting the team that will deliver Crisis at Christmas 2026. This unique project mobilises a huge volunteering effort to provide warmth, companionship and vital services in temporary centres across London to people facing homelessness.

Location: Canning Town Warehouse, Unit 4 SEGRO Park, London E16 4ES - three days per week onsite.

This role will involve working throughout the Crisis at Christmas project, which runs through from the middle of December to the end of January each year. It will involve working on site through Christmas and New Year.

About the role

This role will involve building relationships with current and new corporate donors to ensure we can resource all the material donations we need to run the Crisis at Christmas centres in London. Each year, we source gift in kind donations ranging from food and beverages to clothing, hairdressing equipment and toiletries. This is a varied role that involves researching donors, communicating with large corporate companies, managing volunteers, and running our yearly community donations drive.

About you

• Previous fundraising, project or event coordination or marketing experience.

• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build relationships with partner organisations and donors at all levels and work collaboratively within a wider team.

• Excellent attention to detail and data processing accuracy with experience of using Microsoft Office software, in particular Word, Excel, and SharePoint.  

• Good organisational and problem-solving skills. You should be able to manage multiple competing priorities and modify plans in response to unexpected complications. 

• A pro-active, positive attitude and willingness to get involved in hands on, manual tasks when required.

AoD provides four key services: Youth, Employment, Welfare Benefits, and Independent Living.

AoD’s Employment Service

The Action on Disability Employment Service is setting the agenda for disability employment across London with great results. We are at the forefront of setting up and delivering supported internships for Disabled young people. We provide an holistic service from management and employer engagement to hands-on, supervised support work across all sites.

Our Employment Service welcomes external referrals and offers support for Disabled people via our in-work support service.

We are looking to recruit several support workers to expand our pool.

The Post

The purpose of the job is to provide face to face support work and guidance to Disabled people within their workplaces. The post holder will provide the necessary support and encouragement to enable them to be successful, which will lead, eventually, to independence. The post holder will also work closely with, and take guidance from, their supervisor within AoD. They will work closely with the employer of the Disabled person to ensure the employer has the skills and confidence to manage and train their intern/employee.

Main duties and responsibilities

• To work face-to-face with individual Disabled people, under the guidance of their AoD Supervisor, in accordance with their personalised support plans
• To be fully cognitive of the workplace of the Disabled person to identify the requirements of key tasks
• To follow bespoke Support Plans plans which will enable the Disabled person to fulfil their role to meet the requirements of the employer
• To provide weekly feedback to their AoD Supervisor to ensure continued progression, identifying new areas in need of support, and advising on the amendment of support plans accordingly
• Together with their Supervisor, to plan, discuss and implement a timely reduction of support as and when the Disabled individual becomes familiar and competent with their role
• To negotiate note disability-related reasonable adjustments required for individuals and feedback to their AoD Supervisor
• To liaise with managers to discuss individual progress, respond to issues and implement next steps

• To comply with all organisational and departmental procedures
• To ensure safe, fair and responsible working practices, specifically AoD’s Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities, Safeguarding and Confidentiality policies

A Support Worker will help to enable vulnerable people with complex support needs to manage their licences and move towards greater independence within the community by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package.
This role will be based at for Pound Lane, which is a high complex needs 24-hour service with same shift pattern.

The working pattern for this role is: - 5 days a week, working over a seven day pattern, weekends included. Shift pattern 8am-4am and late shift 1.30pm-9.30pm

What you'll do:
* Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader / Manager
* Oversee the daily running of the service ensuring all health and safety responsibilities are met
* Raise safeguarding alerts and complete incident reports within specified timeframe
* Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions
* Create support/action plans for providing appropriate support based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available
* Support customers to undertake domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of living standards
* Support customers to move on from the service through their identified move on pathway liaising with our Resettlement Officer and Brent Housing team.

As one of our two Lead event stewards you will be responsible for our team of paid, casual Cathedral Stewards. The Cathedral Stewards are an essential part of our life at the Cathedral – making possible the busy and engaging programme of services and events that we hold. You will organise the duty rota for the paid Cathedral Stewards, lead the Cathedral Stewards on the Cathedral floor during events and special services and take a lead on the recruitment, training and development of the stewards in collaboration with the EA to the COO. 

You will work closely with the Head of Engagement, the Engagement Coordinator and the Head of Events – assisting them with their delivery of events. You will also be a key member of the Health, Safety and Security Committee at the Cathedral. At its core, this is a role which offers the Lead Event Stewards the chance to be at the forefront of our relationship with our visitors and play a key part in the success of our special services, large-scale commercial and Engagement events.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Organise monthly rotas for the Cathedral Event Stewards to ensure all events are adequately and appropriately staffed;
• Working alongside the HR team, develop and maintain a training programme for Cathedral stewards
• Work alongside the Head of Engagement and the Engagement Coordinator to take part actively in planning, set-up and delivery of Engagement events such as talks, theatre, music, comedy nights and art installations;
• Undertake stewarding shifts for special services, large scale commercial events and Engagement events;

• Assist the Audience Development Coordinator in collecting feedback from Engagement events

• Attend various internal meetings including the weekly diary meeting, project and event planning meetings, all-staff meetings and the Health, Safety and Security Committee meeting.
• Ensure we are compliant with meeting our duty of care to members of the public.
• Compile steward timesheets and submit to the Finance Department for payroll
