The Royal College of Pathologists is a professional membership organisation with charitable status concerned with all matters relating to the science and practice of pathology. It is a body of its Fellows, Diplomates, Affiliates and trainees, supported by the staff who are based at the College's London offices.

The College oversees the training of pathologists and scientists working in 17 different specialties, which include cellular pathology, haematology, clinical biochemistry and medical microbiology.

Although some pathologists work in laboratories, many work directly with patients in hospitals and the community. Together, they are involved in the majority of all diagnoses and play an important role in disease prevention, treatment, and monitoring. The Role;

The Trusts Fundraising Manager plays a key role in securing voluntary income for Kisharon Langdon by leading the development and delivery of a strategic trusts and foundations programme, with responsibility for achieving significant income targets and supporting the organisation’s long-term growth. The role involves proactively shaping and managing a high-value funding pipeline, using insight, planning, and data to drive sustainable income and maximise opportunities across the portfolio.

The post-holder will take ownership of relationships with a portfolio of funders, developing tailored cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies aligned to funder priorities, while also identifying and securing new funding opportunities. They will bring a strong, proactive approach to prospecting and pipeline development, ensuring a balanced mix of short- and long-term funding.

Working collaboratively across the organisation, the Trusts Fundraising Manager will lead on the development of compelling, high-quality funding applications and reports, drawing on strong impact evidence and strategic narratives, while supporting continuous improvement in success rates and income growth. They will work closely with and provide informal support to the Trust Fundraiser

Key Responsibilities;

• Develop and deliver a clear trusts and foundations strategy to maximise income and support organisational growth.
• Build, manage and continuously strengthen a high-value funding pipeline, balancing short-term income and long-term opportunities.
• Manage a portfolio of trusts and foundations, leading on cultivation, solicitation and stewardship to secure significant grants and meet agreed income targets.
• Prepare and submit high-quality, compelling funding applications and reports, tailored to funder priorities and deadlines.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective funders, developing appropriate cultivation and stewardship plans.
• Act as a key ambassador for the organisation, including attending meetings, events and funder visits where required.
• Work closely with colleagues across services and departments to gather compelling evidence, data and case studies.

About You; 

• Minimum 2 years proven successful experience in applications to charitable trusts and foundations.
• An ability to write engaging and persuasive funding applications and proposals to the highest standard.
• Strong IT skills including sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
• Excellent communication skills both in written work and verbal communication.
• Able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities with attention to detail.
• Able to record and monitor income performance and report accurately to others.

• Researching and gathering data and evidence to inform funding proposals and to report on impact and outcomes.

Your role
We’re looking for a Fundraising Manager to take our individual, community and corporate fundraising to the next level. Building on our existing fundraising and partnerships, you will build and deliver a strategy that maximises income through creative engagement and strong stewardship, ensuring a pipeline of unrestricted income.

The role will be hybrid, with at least 50% of each week to be worked across our two sites in Southampton.

YMCA Cornwall – Transforming our community so all young people can belong, contribute, and thrive.

Do you have a heart to see positive change in the lives of people who are trying to make a new start in the community after prison or a community sentence, and a genuine belief in their ability to make such changes?  Do you have experience of working in the criminal justice environment?

At South West Community Chaplaincy (SWCC) our aim is to provide effective care and community support for people going through the Criminal Justice System, including prison. This includes work such as advocacy, mentoring and holistic support to assist the integration of people with convictions into their communities, within the counties of Devon, Cornwall and western Somerset.

We are looking for a committed and motivated individual who will strengthen our team of Community Chaplains to work with people both in custody and in the community. The key functions of the role are:

o  High-quality client-centred, relational mentoring, ensuring that it is trauma informed, solution focused and relevant for those serving, or who have served, custodial or community sentences in order that they would be successfully resettled in their local communities, within the counties of Cornwall, Devon and western Somerset.

o  Manage and support volunteer mentors as they support our clients

o  To help facilitate and assist faith communities in the peninsula to become more proactive partners with prisons, probation, police, Youth Justice Board and other agencies, in working towards the successful resettlement of people who have convictions.

The post is a permanent part time role.

As part of our shift to embed our advocacy services in the communities we serve, Lamp are recruiting an Advice and Outreach Officer to play a key role in the provision of our Community Mental Health Advocacy service.

A brand new role for the organisation the successful postholder will be responsible for providing our drop-in sessions and advocacy skills workshops across a variety of community spaces around Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

The successful post holder will be a confident public speaker and dynamic self-starter who is able to cultivate and develop relationships with both professionals and service users. You will work autonomously and must have excellent time-keeping skills and be comfortable managing a varied workload.

As an Advice and Outreach Officer you will work in tandem with our Advocates and Information and Advice Officer to raise awareness of our work, provide ad hoc advice and signposting, manage incoming referrals and deliver confidence and skills building workshops. Experience of delivering advocacy services is not essential but an understanding of the remit and impact of advocacy intervention is highly desirable.

As a mental health charity, we value the lived experiences of people with poor mental health and pride ourselves on providing an inclusive, authentic and accessible service. The successful post holder will be familiar with the social and systemic barriers faced by people living with poor mental health and must be able to offer compassion and empathy toward the people we support.

The role holder will lead on the case management of clients with low to medium support needs who are working towards living independently within twelve months. We are looking for a friendly, reliable and community-minded PCV-licensed driver to join our Charity of I Can & I Am. We visit schools on board converted double decker buses working with children and young people across the South West in schools within an hour's drive of the Bath area. On board, we run cooking workshops in the specially converted downstairs of the bus and then workshops educating young people on self-belief in the comfortable seating area on the top deck of the bus.

This is a unique and rewarding role combining:

• driving our double decker bus to schools,
• helping support activities on board,
• assisting with setup and coordination,
• and being part of a small, supportive team.

This is not a standard commercial driving role and would particularly suit:

• semi-retired bus or coach drivers,
• drivers seeking better work/life balance,
• or someone looking for meaningful part-time work.

The Role

You will:

• Drive one of the 3 double decker buses safely to locations across the South West
• Support with the cooking and wellbeing workshops delivered on board
• Help with setup and pack down
• Carry out routine vehicle checks
• Work closely with the I Can & I Am team and staff within the schools
• Help create a welcoming and positive environment for young people

Hours

• Part time
• Term time only, approx 2 days per week.
• Weekday daytime hours
• Flexible working pattern depending on charity bookings.

Essential Requirements

• PCV Category D licence
• Driver CPC
• Good driving record
• Comfortable driving a double decker vehicle

Job Title: Support Mentor

Location: Based within Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC). Unfortunately this service does not have step free access

Salary: £28,800

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week on a rota Monday to Friday, primarily working 09:00 to 17:00 with some shifts working 13:00 to 21:00. You may be required to work outside these hours as per service and resident requirements. This role also includes bank holiday working requirement.

About the Role

We're hiring a Support Mentor to join our team based in RBKC. In this role, you will support residents who have multiple and complex needs including homelessness, mental health, and substance use challenges. 

As a Support Mentor, you will identify individual resident needs, and provide person centred, tailored support to residents to help them overcome their personal challenges and achieve their goals which may involve sustainable living, independence, and overcoming mental health and substance use challenges.

You will do this through a combination of producing tailored support plans, activities, and partnership working. You will support us continue to work in a trauma informed way, and create a psychologically informed environment, which supports us in creating a safe, respectful, and responsive environment which puts our people and communities at the forefront. Join us on our mission to empower independence through trauma-informed solutions and dynamic partnerships that keep people out of prison, out of hospital, and off the streets.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Support residents who may be facing challenges with multiple and complex needs
• Create tailored support plans through one to one sessions, group sessions, and multi agency meetings
• Support residents to build skills and confidence to move towards independent living and overcoming personal challenges
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing, carrying out regular welfare checks, and responding to any incidents or emergencies.
• Support with planning and delivery of activities to engage residents with other people, communities, and opportunities. This may include days out the service and in service activities
• Keep support plans updated on our online portals as appropriate

About You

We're looking for a compassionate individual who understands the needs of our residents which include mental health, substance use, and homelessness. You will be a self motivated individual who is able to be proactive in managing your own time during busy or quiet periods to ensure productivity. You will be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, and will have alignment with our SIG values. You will be keen to support our residents to achieve their individual goals and support them to be the best versions of themselves. 

• Previous professional or lived experience supporting people who have multiple and complex needs
• Ability to engage with people from different backgrounds, build rapport, and empower them to achieve their personal goals
• Ability to show empathy and compassion and the different challenges people face; ability to come up with creative solutions to support them in their journey
• Ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs
• Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents
• Understanding of the different needs people with multiple and complex needs have and be aware of the social marginalisation that can be attached to people who face personal challenges
