Key Responsibilities will include:
· Leading the Charity's PR and media programme, identifying and delivering proactive communications opportunities that raise awareness, strengthen our reputation and showcase the impact of our work.
· Developing engaging communications and storytelling across press, digital and campaign channels, ensuring consistent messaging that supports fundraising, advocacy and organisational priorities.
· Building and nurturing relationships with celebrities, ambassadors, VIP supporters and media contacts, creating meaningful partnerships that champion Alder Hey Children's Charity and inspire wider support.
· Planning and delivering high-profile visits, events and campaign moments, working collaboratively across the Charity and Trust to create memorable, safe and impactful experiences.
· Working closely with colleagues across fundraising, marketing, advocacy and Trust Communications to deliver integrated campaigns, maximise opportunities and protect the Charity's reputation.
· Monitoring and evaluating communications and VIP engagement activity, using insight and learning to continually improve our impact, profile and supporter experience.

Additional Information
In April 2025, the charity adopted a four-day working week policy. Staff previously working 37.5 hours now work 30 hours across four days, maintaining full pay while supporting a better work-life balance.

We are recruiting two Policy and Public Affairs Officers to join our Policy and Influencing team at Blood Cancer UK. One role will be based in London and focus on policy and public affairs activity across England and Wales, while the other will be based in Edinburgh and lead our work in Scotland and Northern Ireland. This role will require regular travel within your respective nations (England and Wales or Scotland and Northern Ireland) to attend meetings, events and stakeholder engagement activities. The roles
We are recruiting for two exciting roles within our Policy and Advocacy team in Brussels, one Policy Advisor and one Assistant Policy Advisor. These positions will play a pivotal role in advancing ambitious strategies, campaigns and advocacy initiatives to help tackle the climate and nature emergency.
Working closely with partners and colleagues across the organisation, you will help support our goals to achieve meaningful change in EU laws, policies and corporate practices. Through strategic stakeholder engagement, advocacy and campaign delivery, you will contribute to achieving our influencing objectives and creating lasting environmental impact across the EU.

Youth Employment UK is seeking a Senior Policy Officer to join our Policy and Research department at an important moment for youth employment policy.
The Senior Policy Officer will strengthen Youth Employment UK’s policy and insight capacity by helping gather, analyse and communicate evidence from young people, employers, members and the wider youth employment system.
Working with the Policy and Research Director, the role will support Youth Employment UK to develop high-quality policy positions, recommendations, briefings and reports, and to strengthen our reputation as a leading source of insight and practical solutions for youth employment.
This is a policy-focused role with strong research literacy. It is not a technical academic research post, but the postholder will need to be confident in interpreting evidence, drawing out implications, writing clearly, and translating insight into practical recommendations for different audiences.
Summary of responsibilities
Monitor, analyse and respond to youth employment-related policy developments through written briefings, articles, guidance and formal evidence submissions.
Support the development of Youth Employment UK policy positions, recommendations and messages
Work with Youth Ambassadors and young people to gather insight that informs policy positions, reports and recommendations
Support delivery of our Youth Voice Census by writing up findings for a wide range of audiences
Support Youth Employment UK’s Good Youth Employment Benchmark by conducting employer interviews and writing employer-facing reports.
Support Youth Employment UK’s public affairs activity, including APPG, Connected Communities and other policy forums.
Work closely with the Policy and Research Director, Policy and Research Coordinator and wider team in an agile, fast-paced working environment
About you
We are looking for someone with strong policy judgement, excellent writing skills, professional curiosity and a commitment to improving systems for young people.
You will bring:
Experience in policy, public affairs, research, youth employment, education, skills, employment support, social policy or a related area
Research literacy and confidence working with evidence, data, reports and lived experience insight
Ability to turn complex information into clear briefings, recommendations and practical outputs
Confidence in engaging with a range of stakeholders, such as young people, employers, members, policymakers, charities, NGOs, think tanks or public bodies.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication to a wide range of audiences
A high level of self and project management skill, able to work effectively as part of a team and independently
A clear passion for improving education, employment and transitions outcomes for young people through policy activity.

You will be educated to degree level or have gained equivalent experience working in a similar role. Purpose of the Job
The Head of Comms and External Affairs will lead our narrative and steward our reputation at critical moment, following the merger of FareShare and The Felix Project to form the new Felix brand. The role will set the strategy and operating rhythm for a team of seven across media relations, internal communications and public affairs, ensuring Felix speaks with one clear, trusted and influential voice.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications and working alongside the Head of Brand Marketing who leads brand marketing and digital communication, the postholder will protect and build Felix's reputation, shape national and sector conversations on food redistribution, food waste and food insecurity, and help position Felix as a leading partner in the national endeavour to triple food redistribution in the UK.
The role will provide senior counsel to the CEO, Executive Team, trustees and senior leaders; lead high-quality media, stakeholder and parliamentary engagement; and ensure internal communications support colleagues, volunteers and partners through integration, change and growth.
