About the role
We are recruiting for two posts, one of which will be focussed on our Legacy Project in Blackpool.
You will deliver high quality housing advice and advocacy in line with the hub’s local community priorities and work with people who are experiencing homelessness and bad housing to identify issues facing local communities. You will plan and deliver casework to individuals and communities to resolve their housing situation and engage with community groups, local organisations and individuals to understand local housing issues and raise awareness of people’s rights.
The role also works in local community settings and with community groups to deliver advice and rights awareness workshops and make sure that people with lived experience of homelessness have opportunities to share their story, give their opinions and participate in the design and delivery of Shelter services. In the case of the longer term role, you will be working at least two days a week in community settings in Blackpool. Offering day to day support to volunteers, providing learning, shadowing and mentoring and being a consistent role model for our values are also key aspects of the role.
About you
You are able to listen to, engage and work with individuals and communities, including people with lived experience of homelessness. You will have experience, knowledge of and/or proven ability in housing and homelessness advice and advocacy and are able to progress to specialist level knowledge, as well as the ability to carry out casework related interviews, maintain detailed case records, advise and support clients to make informed decisions. A proven record of delivering group workshops and presentations is essential, as is a collaborative, flexible and professional approach to your work.

Job Title: Community Engagment Lead

The successful candidate will lead on mapping services in the Borough; forming partnerships with statutory and voluntary agencies based on identified needs of the service to enhance and extend multi-disciplinary knowledge available at and through the Gaia Centre.
The post holder will be responsible for managing relationships with partner agencies and coordinating co-locations within the Gaia service as well as negotiating for staff from the service to co-locate with partner agencies.
You will build capacity for a community response to meet the needs of survivors of VAWG by drawing on the expertise of other specialist and by-and-for service providers, such as those working with LGBTQ+ victim/survivors, disabled victim/survivors or victim/survivors of so-called ‘honor’-based violence in order to provide a wraparound support as part of a broader service offer.
The post holder will also support a team of the Peer Support Mentors and volunteers who will be leading on some practical aspects of individual and group support for survivors accessing the Gaia Centre.
The successful candidate will be skilled at working with a diverse range of audiences and will be adept at creating and developing new partnerships and pathways that contribute towards coordinated community response and improve the lives of survivors of domestic abuse and gender-based violence.
The post holder will also have experience of developing teams and supervising people.

Boaz Trust relies on the generosity of trusts and foundations to provide accommodation and support for people seeking sanctuary, and to challenge and change the unjust systems that cause destitution, both locally and nationally. We are looking for a Fundraising Officer (Trusts) who can help us sustain and grow this vital income by building positive, long-term relationships with funders, delivering high quality applications and reports as needed.
The money raised through this role will support Boaz’s work with people who are facing or experiencing homelessness because of their insecure, changing or uncertain immigration status. Our work includes providing safe accommodation and person-centred support, while working towards our mission of ending destitution among people seeking sanctuary.
Day to day, you will research prospective funders, prepare persuasive applications and cases for support, and produce accurate, engaging reports showing what funders’ support has achieved. You will manage a pipeline of applications and reporting deadlines, keep our fundraising database up to date, and work closely with colleagues across Boaz to best communicate the stories, outcomes, and impact from our work. You will communicate directly with existing and potential funders by email, telephone and, where appropriate, in meetings.
We are looking for someone who enjoys building interpersonal relationships with both funders and supporters and team-mates, is skilled at communicating through writing, can turn detailed information into a clear and compelling case for support, and is organised enough to manage several deadlines at once. You will already have experience of trusts fundraising or bid writing. We are seeking a passionate and experienced IDVA Team Leader to join Birmingham's new Family IDVA Service. This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, and offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery and development of an innovative city-wide service supporting parents aged 16+ and their children under 18 who are affected by domestic abuse.
Based within Birmingham's Family Hubs, the service will provide specialist, trauma-informed domestic abuse support to families at the earliest opportunity, helping to prevent escalation of harm and improve safety, resilience and wellbeing. The IDVA Team Leader will help ensure that families receive a flexible, whole-family response, with the voices and needs of both parents and children remaining central to assessment, safety planning and support.
In this role, you will provide leadership and day-to-day support to a team of Family IDVAs, helping to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe and effective services. You will line manage a team of frontline practitioners, providing supervision, coaching, case guidance and performance support, while promoting a positive, confident and resilient team culture. You will also support the Operations Manager with the effective running and development of the service. This will include supporting case allocation, monitoring caseloads, undertaking case reviews and audits, ensuring accurate recording on case management systems, and contributing to performance reporting against service standards, contractual requirements and KPIs. You will use data, quality assurance and learning from practice to help identify trends, strengthen service delivery and support continuous improvement.
You will provide advice and guidance to colleagues around safeguarding, risk and case complexity, ensuring the service prioritises the safety, dignity and individual needs of families. Partnership working will be central to this role. You will work closely with Birmingham Children's Trust, Family Hubs, Early Help, education, health, community organisations and other statutory and voluntary sector partners to strengthen referral pathways, promote access to support and improve coordinated responses for families affected by domestic abuse. In your role as a Community Keyworker, you will be working with women involved in the Criminal Justice System; those on Probation in the Community and those women being released from Prison as part of their Post Sentence Supervision; providing some in-reach and ‘Through the Gate’ support. You will be working in a team of Community Keyworkers in your region. Each Keyworker will provide holistic one to one community support to women with a variety of needs.
About You:
To be successful as the Community Key Worker you will need the below experience and skills.
You will need to hold a UK driving licence with access to car that can be used for work purposes. A creative self-starter who will support the service and look for innovative solutions to support clients with complex needs. You are confident professional relationship builder with have good awareness of Safeguarding procedures. Strong Administration skills and understanding of compliant behaviours also, experience of supporting. With good knowledge of the criminal justice system and awareness of other support provisions within the Hampshire area.

You will be working in a team of Community Keyworkers in your region. You will be undertaking all initial triage assessments and processing these on the database and allocating these to each Keyworker. The Keyworkers will provide one to one community support to women with a variety of needs simultaneously and will be co-located with partner organisations in their region. You will be expected to travel to Advance’s Head office in London for any organisational meetings and training, as and when required.

About the Role:
As a CYP Triage & Early Intervention Officer, you will be the first point of contact via telephone, text or email for children, young people and their parents/carers referred to our service.
