We’re looking for a People and Culture Manager to shape and lead Amala's first dedicated people function, ensuring our global team is supported by rigorous and human-centred people practices. You will work closely with the Head of Finance and our international leadership team to manage the end-to-end team member lifecycle and continuously foster a deep sense of belonging across our remote workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Recruitment & Onboarding: Lead end-to-end hiring and design onboarding programmes that strictly adhere to Safer Recruitment requirements.

• Performance & Development: Manage the annual review cycle and coach managers to have meaningful, development-focused conversations.

• Policy & Culture: Act as a custodian of Amala’s culture while maintaining compliant HR and policies and the Single Central Record.

• Compensation: Maintain our job grading framework and lead salary benchmarking against the NGO sector.

You will be successful if you have

• CIPD Level 5 qualification and proven HR management experience within an NGO or mission-driven organisation.

• The ability to navigate the nuances of supporting globally distributed teams across different cultures and time zones.

About the role

• Prepare monthly management accounts and provide clear financial insight to leadership and trustees
• Lead the preparation of annual statutory accounts in line with charity SORP
• Support the independent examination process and ensure timely regulatory submissions

• Maintain strong financial controls and support good governance

Myaware is a charity dedicated to ensuring that all people living with or alongside myasthenia can live well, now and in the future. Due to demands on the service we are looking to expand our crucial support team which has provided an exciting opportunity to join the team.

You will be working with our dedicated support team to advise and support our members, over the phone, via email, in online sessions and at conferences and support groups in the community. Providing a listening ear and advice on living with myasthenia is essential as they navigate their diagnosis journey and learn how to live well with the condition.

Delivering support and advice for our members also involves using our CRM database and proactively maintaining and increasing our membership. It requires ongoing essential awareness raising of our work through annual initiatives and campaigns and through growing relationships with Healthcare Professionals and other neurological organisations.

Who are we?

Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people affected by myasthenia. 

We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition. 

We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors. 

Members of myaware have full access to a wide range of support services and events including our specialist  welfare rights advisor. 

Myaware supports people with myasthenia and their families.  We campaign for better medical services for people with myasthenia and work to inform medical professionals. 

The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions. They are rare but also manageable and can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender or nationality. Myasthenia gravis, ocular myasthenia and Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome are autoimmune conditions whereas congenital myasthenic syndrome is caused by an inherited genetic fault. It is thought that there are approximately 20,000 people currently living with myasthenia in the UK.

Who are we?

St. John's is a non-maintained specialist provision, working with autistic people, the majority of whom also have learning disabilities. Some of our learners have co-occurring conditions such as epilepsy, hearing or visual impairments, or mental health needs. We also support autistic learners who have an additional profile of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) syndrome. We have a team built up of support workers, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, nurses, PBS practitioners, assistant psychologists, and more, to support us in our holistic approach to development.

Tenancy Support & Financial Wellbeing Project Worker

About Us 

Wintercomfort works with people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or with a history of homelessness. We provide services to aid every stage of recovery -from immediate basic welfare needs to long term help in identifying and dealing with the problems which are undermining their stability, and enabling them to engage with education, employment and specialist health services.  National statistics rank the numbers of rough sleepers in Cambridge within the highest 20 UK local authorities. 

Wintercomfort is the only day-time service in the city, providing year-round advice and support for homeless or vulnerably housed people. Over the past three decades Wintercomfort has continued to grow and adapt to meet the needs of the homeless community. 

Our specialist Housing Team provides expert advice and support to help people successfully navigate the search for housing and crucially, support them to sustain life away from the street. 

About you and the Role 

As a member of Wintercomfort’s Project Worker Team, reporting to the Senior Tenancy Support Officer the Tenancy Support & Financial Wellbeing Project Worker is responsible for delivering Wintercomfort’s specialist range of 1:1 Pre and Post Tenancy Support, implementing proactive, holistic strategies designed to prevent people from losing their homes, whilst simultaneously providing them with the financial tools and capability needed to sustain stability, aimed at empowering Service Users to move out of the spiral of homelessness and back into mainstream society, preventing homelessness and foster financial inclusion.

Key Responsibilities 

• To provide emotional and practical support and assistance to prepare and assist Service Users to move into accommodation once a placement is confirmed, working with internal and external colleagues. To work in a flexible manner within Wintercomfort and the wider community to provide outreach and support services in person, occasionally in exceptional circumstances this could include in their own home when accompanied with external partners also includes via text, email, telephone and video calls.   
• To provide a wide range of resettlement-based support along with the Senior Tenancy Support Officer to ensure Service Users access the most suitable housing pathway for their individual needs. To take the lead on all housing related referrals for Service Users. To ensure all suitable Service Users are registered and supported on Homelink. 
• To provide crucial assistance to tenants, focusing on maintaining tenancies, managing money and debt and improving overall financial stability – including, signposting, budgeting, welfare benefits checks, rent arrears support, setting-up and managing utilities, housing related life skills, offering guidance and support to enable Service Users to maintain their own homes, aiming to prevent eviction and enhance quality of life. 
• To provide on-going long term tenancy support to Service Users moving into independent living, this includes private rental housing or alternative housing pathways without any on site support. To assist with hand over post tenancy support to accommodation providers at a suitable point in the Service User support pathway, with the aim of enabling long-term independence.
• To ensure all Service Users have access to external grants and any available funding to support their individual needs to maintain their accommodation. Signposting and assisting with applications for funding to assist people moving into accommodation are supported with the appropriate items: floor coverings, white goods, basic furniture and home furnishings. 
• To support residents to keep their current homes, including mediation with landlords, accessing legal support on evictions, addressing anti-social behaviour, identifying high risk groups targeting support towards vulnerable groups such as those fleeing difficulties, leaving prison, hospital or care systems. 
• To ensure that accurate records are kept, documenting the support services provided to Wintercomfort’s service users onto the Salesforce/Inform system. Ensuring that record keeping meets the requirements of internal and external monitoring of outcomes, assisting with reports and case studies to the fundraising team.

About this key role

Our successful candidate will work in partnership with Pier Road staff, to identify and receive appropriate referrals to the project and to oversee an ongoing caseload of clients, regularly reviewing progress and applying case management skills to provide a personalised service and meet all set objectives.  You will carry out comprehensive initial assessments with clients to produce realistic individual action plans which are regularly reviewed and updated, organise and deliver one-to-one and group activities to prepare clients for employment and to achieve their goals, while also actively supporting clients to navigate and access provision and support available across Bexley.

We also count on you to lead on the development and maintenance of strong links with external agencies, landlords, employers and potential work placement hosts to open up opportunities, plus supervise and support Peer Advisors working on the project and allocating tasks according to their ability and capacity.

• Significant experience of managing a caseload of clients presenting with support needs and achieving set objectives for employment outcomes
• Experience of supervising or managing volunteers and/or paid staff
• The ability to carry out risk assessments, in terms of both service delivery and individual action planning; reviewing and updating where necessary
• The ability to demonstrate knowledge and awareness of the issues faced by our client group, in particular barriers faced by people with lived in experience

In our Women’s Respite Service in Camden, you’ll be working with women who have faced abuse, exploitation and homelessness, often after systems have let them down. You’ll be part of a space that feels different. A space where women are listened to, where their experiences are understood, and where they can begin to rebuild a sense of control over their lives.

No two days will look the same. One moment you might be de-escalating a crisis, the next you’re advocating with services, or sitting alongside someone as they begin to make sense of what they’ve been through. You’ll use your understanding of trauma, gender informed practice and the realities of violence against women and girls to shape how support is delivered, making sure every interaction is grounded in safety, dignity and respect.

You’ll hold a small but complex caseload, working intensively with women to build trust, navigate risk and move towards stability and independence. You won’t give up easily. You’ll stay curious, creative and persistent, even when progress feels slow or uncertain.

As a senior in the team, your impact goes further. You’ll lead by example, guiding colleagues through complex situations and helping to embed a way of working that truly recognises what women have experienced and what they need to move forward. You’ll help shape a service that doesn’t just respond to crisis, but creates real, lasting change.

You’ll work directly with families in their homes and communities, coordinate volunteers, and plan engaging activities for young children and parents.

About the role

You’ll support families with young children who may be facing challenges such as isolation, low confidence, or complex needs. At the same time, you’ll design and deliver fun, development-focused activities and groups that help children thrive and parents feel more confident.

A key part of this role is delivering sessions during school holidays, when families often need additional support. Your work will help ensure continuity of care and reduce isolation during these times.

You’ll also:

• Assess family needs and provide tailored support

Around 70% of your time will be spent out in the community, including home visits and delivering groups.
