This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, high performing team. This varied role sits at the heart of the policy and campaigns team, working in the policy detail to support key campaigns as well as media functions, including lots of interaction with supporters and carers. Fantastic opportunity for a Fundraising and Grants Manager 

Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA) is a well-established and respected national charity offering specialist and expert advocacy and peer support to families bereaved by fatal domestic abuse. We have an exciting opportunity to build upon and grow our fundraising success to date, in the role ofFundraising and Grants Manager. We are seeking an experienced fundraising professional, with the drive and determination to manage all aspects of our fundraising function.

AAFDA is currently funded by statutory bodies, trusts and foundations, corporates, events and individuals. Under your management, you will identify, cultivate and grow these existing and new fundraising streams.As AAFDA’s Fundraising and Grants Manager, you will be responsible for oversight and growth of voluntary and statutory funding income, including from individuals (regular and one-off gifts, major donors and legacy giving), community groups, trusts and foundations, corporates, the statutory sector (including Police and Crime Commissioners) and other benefactors. Starting from a strong foundation with multiple opportunities for growth, you will lead on the delivery of our ambitious, multi-year, multi-disciplinary fundraising strategy with an annual fundraising plan agreed with senior management.  With keen funder and customer awareness, you will regularly monitor and review both the plan and the strategy, in addition to working closely with our Finance Manager to manage diverse income streams and achieve income targets to fund AAFDA’s unique support and advocacy work with families bereaved by fatal domestic abuse.  Holding responsibility for maintaining and developing the website and building social media programmes, you will undertake an ambassadorial approach in all activity to assist our CEO and Director of Services to lead and manage the AAFDA brand and corporate identity, with a focus on generating earned income, by extending awareness of what AAFDA does and how successful we are.

This is a permanent role, subject to funding, but we will work hard (alongside you!) to secure this.

The Role

Key Responsibilities

You will act as the link between funding portfolios and the wider Evidence and Impact team, improving how evidence is used across the funding cycle and helping colleagues make confident, evidence-based decisions.

Working closely with portfolio teams to understand their priorities, challenges and decision-making needs, you will identify where evidence can add value. This could include evidence to understand community needs and support assessment of applications, to shaping major funding programmes, supporting monitoring and evaluation practices and supporting decisions at leadership and committee level.

You will translate user needs into clear evidence requirements, commissioning or coordinating the development of products within Evidence Services, across the Evidence and Impact team or externally. Products can include:

Finance Administrator – Job Description

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Role Purpose

Power Up North London is a leading community energy organisation delivering renewable energy, energy-efficiency and retrofit projects that directly benefit community groups and public buildings. We believe communities can and must play a central role in the transition to a low-carbon future.

The Finance Administrator will support the effective financial management and integrity of Power Up North London’s financial operations. The postholder will prepare accurate financial and management information, monitor budgets, and support finance processes including cashflow management, invoicing, payments and associated controls.

Working closely with the CEO, Treasurer, Board, internal colleagues and external finance providers, the postholder will provide timely financial information and administrative support to inform decision-making, meet funder requirements and support the organisation’s sustainable growth. The postholder will report to the CEO for day-to-day management and will work with the Treasurer, who provides Board-level financial oversight.

Key responsibilities

Financial Management and Governance 

• Maintain accurate and robust financial accounts and processes.

• Support the set-up and preparation of monthly management accounts for internal and Board reporting.

• Support preparation and management of the annual budget.

· To model age appropriate play activities to parents/carers and offer a range of strategies and activities to manage behaviour and assist child development.

· Signpost families to parenting groups that can support them such as the Solihull course or Incredible Years.

· Signpost parents / carers to relevant services to ensure they have the necessary provisions to meet their child/ren’s needs.

· Maintain and improve competencies through continuous professional development.

· To attend regular supervision meetings and annual appraisal.

· Work co-operatively with Management to support the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements.

· To contribute to the effective day to day operation of Home-Start Medway in accordance with governing documents, standards and methods of practice, Home –Start agreement and Quality Assurance standards.

· To keep efficient, accurate and confidential records, including statistics collection and collation. This would include the use of evaluation tools to enable us to evidence the impact of our work.

· To work within all Home-Start’s policies and procedures including: Confidentiality, Safeguarding Children Policies and Procedures and Health and Safety Policies.

· Be flexible and carry our other associated duties as may arise, develop, or be assigned in line with the broad remit of the position.

Our media function at Hospice UK is critical to our mission to promote and protect hospice care for all.The Media and PR Manager leads our media strategy, helping to tell our story with ambition and impact – shaping conversations, building national influence and raising the profile of hospice care across the UK.

This post holder will have a sharp eye for a story, be a bold and instinctive media strategist and amplify the voices of people who need to be heard to change minds influence political decision makers and put Hospice UK at the forefront of the debate.

The Team

You will work within the Communications team that sits within the wider External Affairs Directorate. We are around 20 in total, including 4 colleagues based in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The Communications team includes colleagues working across content, social and digital, as well as partnership marketing and member communications. 

You will work closely with a smaller team of 3 colleagues, our Senior Social Media Officer, Content and Brand Manager and your line manager – our Senior Communications and Communications Manager. Together you will be involved in the big issues in hospice care, making sure Hospice UK is vocal, visible and leading the debate. 

There is a strong collaborative and supportive culture across the External Affairs Department with lots of opportunity to exchange ideas, plan together and benefit from each other’s skills and expertise.

Working closely with our 200+ hospice members, we have a strong track record of securing strong media coverage and winning campaigns on their behalf, most notably over the two years by securing increased investment in hospices by governments in Westminster, Cardiff and Edinburgh.

But our work is not done. Hospices are under significant pressure and need both better government investment and continued public support. Our focus now is ensuring that hospices can meet ever increasing demand for their services, with well-funded and well-staffed hospices across the UK.

About You

You're a talented and ambitious media professional with a strong instinct for a story and a passion for creating impact. Whether spotting opportunities in a fast-moving news cycle, building trusted relationships with journalists, or developing proactive media campaigns, you know how to secure attention for the issues that matter.

You'll bring significant experience in media, PR or communications, ideally within the charity, health, care or public sector, and have a proven track record of delivering media strategies that drive measurable results. You'll be equally comfortable pitching a compelling human-interest story, translating complex policy issues into engaging content, or providing calm, confident counsel to senior leaders during high-profile or sensitive situations.

We're looking for someone who is proactive, strategic and highly collaborative. CHOICE IN HACKNEY is looking for an experienced and motivated Disability Employment Coach to support disabled people to move towards employment, volunteering, education and training, while developing the confidence, skills and practical strategies needed for sustainable employment.

You will provide one-to-one employment coaching, helping participants identify their strengths, aspirations and goals and develop personalised action plans. You will support people to overcome barriers to employment through practical coaching, encouragement, problem-solving and appropriate signposting.

You will also help plan and deliver CHOICE IN HACKNEY’s Job Club, creating accessible and engaging sessions that encourage confidence, peer learning and mutual support. Alongside this, you will develop relationships with employers, recruitment agencies, training providers and partner organisations to create opportunities for disabled people.

The role recognises that employment can take different forms. You will support participants to explore volunteering, work experience, apprenticeships, self-employment, social enterprise and entrepreneurship where appropriate. You will also provide suitable in-work support to promote job retention, workplace integration and career progression.

An important part of the post will be maintaining contact with programme alumni, monitoring longer-term employment, training and wellbeing outcomes and contributing to an active alumni network offering Job Club activities, peer support, mentoring and employer engagement.

The Opportunity

ESCIP is a one-year proof of concept designed to strengthen how community experience and VCSE intelligence inform local decision-making. It connects voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations with health, local authority and wider partners, creating stronger two-way feedback between communities and decision-makers.

This is not primarily an administrative post. You will build trusted relationships, coordinate a new quarterly forum, develop practical ways to gather and synthesise intelligence, and demonstrate how insight has influenced priorities and action. Because the programme is new, you will have genuine scope to shape how it works.

What You Will Achieve

Over the first 12 months, you will:

• Establish a quarterly East Surrey VCSE and Community Forum.
• Build trusted relationships with diverse VCSE organisations, including smaller groups and under-represented communities.
• Develop and test practical two-way feedback mechanisms between communities, VCSE partners and system leaders.
• Map intelligence sources and introduce consistent approaches to gathering and synthesising insight.
• Produce concise briefings highlighting emerging themes and implications for decision-makers.
• Maintain strategic relationships across health, local government, housing and neighbourhood partners.
• Support independent evaluation and contribute to the case for Year 2.

Main Responsibilities

Partnerships and Networks

• Coordinate day-to-day delivery of ESCIP, maintaining workplans, milestones and actions.
• Plan and support the quarterly East Surrey VCSE and Community Forum.
• Develop strong relationships across the VCSE sector and with NHS, local authority, housing, primary care and neighbourhood partners.
• Maintain wider partner engagement through targeted conversations, briefings and limited observer participation.
• Represent ESCIP professionally and act as a key point of contact.

Engagement and Community Insight

• Plan and deliver insight activity, including stakeholder conversations, workshops, surveys, desk research and analysis.
• Enable organisations of different sizes and capacities to contribute, particularly voices less often heard.
• Map existing intelligence sources, identify gaps and common themes, and distinguish between individual feedback, recurring themes and wider evidence.

Communication, Influence and Learning

• Turn qualitative and quantitative information into accessible summaries, briefings and recommendations.
• Create visible feedback loops so contributors understand what was heard and what happened next.
• Prepare stakeholder briefings and contribute to programme and funder reporting.
• Work with the independent evaluator and contribute learning to the future development of ESCIP.

Working Arrangements

This is a part-time role based in Oxted with autonomy and variety. Some meetings and community activity will take place across East Surrey, so the postholder must be able to travel within the area. Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Occasional evening activity may be required by prior agreement, with time off in lieu. The postholder will work closely with colleagues from VASE and CSVA and will have access to office space, HR support and appropriate IT equipment.

The Deputy Fitness Centre Manager is a role that is largely based on site (80:20 split) and the post holder will work a minimum of 14 hours per week at front of house, leading delivery. Shift patterns and start times will be dependent on the needs of the business. This will mean occasions when late, early and weekend work will be required. Shift location will vary between our sites.
