Job description

Location: South East of England

About the role

This unique dual role provides core administrative support to the South East regional England team while directly delivering local community development initiatives.

You’ll keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly while actively engaging our community, building local partnerships, and empowering people affected by Parkinson’s to shape local support. Working collaboratively on priority projects, you’ll help build a united, people-powered movement.

What you'll do

  • Be the primary point of contact, responding warmly and efficiently to general enquiries from across the region.

  • Organise online and in-person meetings, working groups, and regional events - handling venue bookings, catering, materials, delegate tracking, and follow-ups.

  • Process purchase orders, invoices, credit card payments, and volunteer expenses, keeping financial records up-to-date and processes running smoothly.

  • Work in an inclusive way so the lived experiences and voices of people affected by Parkinson’s shape local decisions, support, and services.

  • Help deliver and evaluate local community projects using feedback and local insights to guide your work.

What you'll bring

  • Experience or transferable skills to manage office admin, handle routine financial tasks, and stay organised while juggling competing priorities.

  • Excellent administration skills, including note-taking, presentation preparation and a positive, assertive and resilient approach to prioritising and juggling varying pressures and conflicting priorities.

  • Ability to work on your own initiative, manage your time effectively while working remotely, and handle sensitive information confidentially.

  • Skilled communicator with strong listening skills and the ability to deliver messages to a range of audiences effectively.

  • Experience of engaging and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including those from diverse communities.

Please apply by sending us your CV and a detailed cover letter explaining how you meet the criteria in the "What you'll bring" section of the job description on our website.

Interviews for this role will be held online on 25 September 2026. Successful candidates will be invited to attend an in-person interview on 30 September 2026 in our London office.
