More about the role

As a Foster Coordinator, you’ll recruit, support, and manage a diverse network of volunteer fosterers across your local area. Working closely with the Adoptions Coordinator, you’ll monitor foster capacity, match pets to suitable homes, and ensure a smooth and effective fostering journey. 

You’ll also build strong relationships within local communities and with partner organisations, promoting fostering opportunities and attracting new volunteers. Alongside maintaining a high-performing fostering service, you’ll ensure fosterers feel valued, supported, and confident in their role. 

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, plus one in three weekends (with two days off in lieu during the week). 

About you

You’re a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with people from all backgrounds. You’ll have experience managing or supporting volunteers, particularly in remote or community-based settings and understand how to motivate and guide them effectively. 

You’re collaborative, proactive, and solutions-focused, with a genuine passion for helping others succeed in their roles. You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes emotionally challenging environment, and bring resilience, empathy, and sound judgement to your work.

• Demonstrable experience of supervision or management of volunteers. 
• Experience of having worked in an animal welfare environment.

Role: To engage Chatham’s diverse communities in the heritage of St John’s Chatham. This role will be
responsible for working with local community groups to develop and deliver activities and programmes
to involve young people aged 14 – 24 years old, low income families, older adults over 55 years old,
homeless and vulnerably housed people and local schools as part of the major community programme
at St John’s Chatham.

Principal accountabilities
● Through engagement with local community groups create a programme that results in St John’s becoming a multipurpose space for the local community.
● Develop, manage and deliver community engagement projects to interpret the history of St John’s, based on research gathered by the Research & Development Consultant.
● Work with the Volunteer & Training Co-ordinator to explore the potential for a community based café that is used as a centre for the local community to meet and learn new skills and make new friends
● Work with local community organisations to create programmes that support the development of skills, such as budgeting, cooking, gardening, English as a second language etc
● Create and maintain an arts and crafts area within the café of St John’s that inspires people to respond to the heritage around them

● Develop a programme of events to test if there is a market for evening events at St John’s, including but not exclusively, concerts, silent discos, film showing

Our Health and Safety Officer will help us embed, maintain, and develop high standards of Health and Safety, across CCT’s whole estate and its people. Events and Communications Officer

(Salary £21,460 - £22,700 - Part Time 25 Hours a week)

- What you’ll do:

· Coordinate and deliver Scripture Union’s presence at key exhibitions, festivals and conferences across the year.

· Plan logistics, budgets, materials and timelines –and recruit, support and encourage staff and volunteers involved in events.

· Gather, shape and share people-focused stories of mission and impact across website, email, social media, audio and print.

· Support the planning and delivery of the Mission Sparks podcast, helping audiences connect with what God is doing through Scripture Union.

About the role

Due to an expansion in our work to provide training and e-learning to raise awareness of unpaid carers and of the issues and challenges they face with a range of professionals, we are excited to recruit a Training and Learning Officer to lead our work in this area. To oversee the article submission and peer review process for the Society’s journal publishing programme. Alongside the Publishing Coordinator for Books, implement agreed workflow and development updates across our submission, reviewing and licence management publishing operation systems and contribute to the operational side of the research integrity in house team. I Choose Freedom provides safe refuge, advocacy and specialist support to adult and child survivors of domestic abuse across East and West Surrey. Each year, we support around 250 survivors to rebuild their lives and find lasting safety.

The Role

We’re looking for an ambitious, relationship-driven Community Fundraiser to help grow our sustainable income and ensure survivors can access lifesaving refuge.

As part of a small, close-knit fundraising team, you’ll develop and deliver a vibrant programme of community and events fundraising. From challenge events and matched-funding campaigns to seasonal appeals, you’ll play a central role in engaging supporters, generating income and shaping future fundraising activity.
