Job description

Join Us as an Employer Liaison Officer (ELO)

We're on the lookout for someone who's driven, people-focused, and ready to make a real difference for young people across Highland. This isn't a desk job – it's about getting out there, building relationships, and opening doors to life-changing opportunities.

What's the role?
You'll be the link between Barnardo's Works Highland and local employers, creating work experience and job opportunities for young people aged 14 - 24. These are young people who need a boost – and you'll help give them that chance.

Your mission:

  • Connect & Create – Build strong relationships with employers and turn them into real opportunities.
  • Know Your Patch – Understand the local job market and what makes it tick.
  • Champion Young People – Support them into placements, jobs, and apprenticeships that stick.
  • Organise & Energise – From networking events to job clubs, you'll make things happen.

If you've got great people skills, a knack for networking, and the drive to make things happen, we want to hear from you. Experience in employability or youth work? Brilliant. But if you've got the passion and the skills to connect employers with young people, that's what matters most.

Why join us?
You'll be part of a small, committed team making a big impact. Every day is different, and every success story starts with you.

Please note due to the high volume of applications for some posts, this advert might close before the displayed closing date.  We recommend that you apply for this role as soon as possible
