Working in close partnership with Marketing team, you will lead on challenge events and community fundraising, individual giving, in memory and legacy fundraising,

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver short, medium and long-term public fundraising plans and budgets, monitoring income and expenditure.
• Oversee the creation and evolution of fundraising products and propositions to ensure strong ROI and audience resonance.
• Champion public fundraising within integrated campaigns, maximising predictable, unrestricted income through regular giving, in memory and legacy programmes.
• Lead individual giving activity, including online appeals, Christmas appeal and auction, with a strong focus on stewardship and retention.
• Plan and deliver an annual cycle of supporter communications, including appeals, newsletters and impact reporting.
• Optimise third party and online fundraising channels (including Facebook and Instagram).
• Lead the legacy programme, embedding gifts in wills messaging across the organisation.
• Support families to fundraise with care, professionalism and sensitivity.
• Grow income from grassroots and community organisations (schools, faith groups, golf clubs and more), focusing on £1k–£5k opportunities.
• Manage and develop the challenge events portfolio (e.g. Hackney Half, London Landmarks, Royal Parks, London Marathon), ensuring excellent participant stewardship and maximum income.

You will bring:

• Proven experience delivering short, medium and long-term fundraising plans and budgets.
• Experience in at least one key public fundraising area (individual giving, challenge events, community fundraising, legacy or in memory).
• Strong relationship building skills with high emotional intelligence.
• A creative, growth oriented and commercially minded approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including crafting compelling impact stories.
• CRM experience (e.g. Donorfy or similar).
• Line management experience (formal or informal).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Exceptional time management within a dynamic environment.

About the role

As part of the Employee Relations and HR Business Partnering Team, you will be responsible for developing, reviewing, re-writing and maintaining Shelters HR policies, ensuring these are legally compliant, particularly with new legislation, aligned with strategic goals, and reflective of best practice. A core part of this role will be to work collaboratively with our employee affinity groups, trade unions and key internal stakeholders to ensure policies reflect diverse perspectives, promote inclusion and support positive employee relations.
 
Role specifics

As our HR Policy Officer, you will be CIPD qualified, up to date in UK Employment Law, ERA and HR best practice. You will draw on your HR experience to understand detail, and how ER processes are applied in a busy and diverse organisation. You will be able to write clear, consistence policies, procedures, management guides and flowcharts. 

You’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining clear, inclusive and legally compliant people policies that support Shelter’s work. You’ll research and draft policies, guidance and tools, ensuring they reflect legislation, best practice and organisational needs, while working closely with colleagues, trade unions and affinity groups to gather insight and build engagement. You’ll provide expert advice to managers and HR colleagues on how policies are applied, helping to ensure consistency and confidence across the organisation. You’ll also support the rollout of new policies through clear communications, training and accessible resources, and help keep our HR systems up to date and easy to use.

About the team

About the role

The Community, Events and Education Lead is a critical member of WaterAid’s Mass Engagement Department, driving forward both marketing and fundraising from a range of audiences, as well as leading our Special Events and volunteering activities.

It is a broad role that offers the opportunity to reimagine this area and set a new transformational direction for the team. It is an area that has significant opportunities for income growth and requires a Team Lead to focus our efforts on the largest opportunities. You will lead finance, HR and organisational operations, overseeing systems, compliance and high-quality corporate services that support our national expansion.

From financial planning and audit, to overseeing IT and digital development, to ensuring a solid HR strategy and people practices, you will ensure the infrastructure behind our therapeutic services remains robust, efficient and future-ready. A hands-on leader (supported by external experts), you will bring clarity, rigour and creativity to a purpose-led charity striving to improve patient experiences across the NHS.

About you

We are seeking a collaborative, ambitious and hands-on leader with:

• Solid experience overseeing finance functions, budgeting, forecasting and statutory reporting

This role builds on work that we have been doing for decades to support and empower LGBT people who have experienced domestic abuse. Your work will enable LGBT people to feel supported, heard and empowered in the face of abuse and violence, and pave the way to a safer future for our community.
 
You will sit alongside our other advocates supporting LGBT people facing abuse or violence. You will work directly with LGBT victims/survivors of domestic abuse, offering them a space to talk and think through options, helping them plan what they want to do, and offering assistance in getting what they need from services. Your work will focus on needs specifically related experiences of abuse or violence, including issues such as wellbeing, support with the criminal and civil justice process, safety and access to other services to enable survivors to cope and recover. You will work with mainstream services to ensure the voices and experiences of LGBT survivors are represented in order to make change for our community at a local and national level. You will also work closely with key partner organisations by attending meetings and have the opportunity to take part in external work to ensure a joined-up approach among services working with LGBT people facing abuse and violence.

Galop is looking for an experienced practitioner to provide effective support to LGBT victims and survivors of abuse and violence in the UK. You will work within the advocacy team to deliver advice, support, and advocacy to LGBT victims and survivors of interpersonal abuse and violence each year. OCD Action exists because it takes 7 years on average for people affected by OCD to get the treatment that they need. OCD is debilitating, isolating and destroys lives, but it is treatable. Sadly the wait for treatment, for too many is too long. We are working, with the OCD Community, for a time, when OCD is well understood and everyone gets the treatment and support they need when they need it. As Senior Trust and Foundations Officer you will support the delivery of our vision by growing our portfolio of Trusts and Foundations, crafting exceptionally high quality and persuasive applications for three, four and five figure bids and managing all successful and existing grants.  

We are a small but highly effective team at OCD Action, if you join us you will work closely with our service delivery team and have the opportunity to see the impact of your work. We are looking for someone who is passionate about improving outcomes for people affected by OCD and can channel this into ambitious, creative and persuasive grant applications. This role requires someone who enjoys working with people and is adept at building networks and maintaining effective relationships. This role may be particularly suited to someone who has supported with the development of Trust applications in a larger organisation and is looking to develop their skills or to work with increased flexibility.

The External Engagement Officer will provide vital administrative and operational support across fundraising, events, and communications, such as event logistics, copywriting content, preparing social media posts.

Fundraising and Data Support

• Managing Contacts: Ensuring that up-to-date records are kept throughout our CRM (Salesforce)
• Financial Processing: Responsible for adding weekly bank donations onto Salesforce and working with the Finance Team to reconciling income and assist with gift processing
• Supporter Care: Lead on thanking supporters, specifically managing emails and cards 
• Legacy Administration: Assist with the administration of legacy giving, including thanking donors for pledges and gifts.

Events - Logistics and Administration

• Guest Management: Support event logistics by using our CRM to manage all aspects of our events including guest lists, RSVPs, and creating name badges for attendees
• Box Office Function: Act as a point of contact for event booking enquiries and assist with seating plans
• On-site Support and post-event coordination

Communications and Digital Engagement

• Inbox Management ensuring timely and professional responses

• Print Advertising: Manage the logistics of print advertising

General / Team Support

• Inventory Management: Maintain an organized inventory of fundraising and event materials, such as banners, stationery, and merchandise

Role overview 

This newly created senior role strengthens The Young Foundation’s strategic business development function and supports income growth across the full range of our programmes and partnerships. The post will provide expertise in fundraising and procurement processes including approaches to philanthropic funders and investor circles as well as formal tendering, dealing with a range of funding modalities from research grants to commercial consultancy and trusts and foundations. 

Key responsibilities 

Business development and income growth

• Lead high‑value income generation processes, including building consortia, securing philanthropic funding, and delivering high quality formal tenders, coordinating inputs from across our delivery teams.

• Oversee the preparation of costed proposals and pitches for a diverse range of funders, including research councils, local authorities, commercial consultancy, and philanthropic trusts.
