Background and purpose
We are the only UK-wide charity andfree membership organisation for everyone affected by a genetic bleeding disorder. We aim to empower people affected by a bleeding disorder to live life to the fullest; offering support, including events and local groups, the latest news and in-depth information resources, and campaigning and advocacy to demand the best possible care, safe and effective treatment, and equitable access for everyone affected by a bleeding disorder.
There are over 5,000 members of the Haemophilia Society, including people and families living with bleeding disorders, as well as healthcare professionals. The charity’s supporters help fundraise the costs that are vitally needed to be able to offer membership – and services such as events and printed publications – entirely free to all members.

About the role
The Finance Manager will ensure the smooth, accurate, and compliant day-to-day financial operations of THS. You will oversee transactional processing, payroll, local group accounting, management of our partner charity accounts, creating monthly management reports and year-end audit preparation.
Job Purpose: This role is pivotal in enabling THS to deliver its mission and meet its strategic objectives.
Critical Competences
Knowledge & Skill Requirements
· Accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW, CIPFA, AAT).
· Experience of Xero accounting and Paycircle payroll.

· Gift Aid: Support Gift Aid processing.
· Expenditure Processing: Responsible for expenditure processing, including staff and volunteer expenses, purchase invoices, and associated filing.

This role forms part of Southwark’s commissioned Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and Domestic Abuse (DA) service, delivered through a consortium partnership led by Bede.
The post holder will coordinate and deliver structured group-based interventions for children and young people affected by domestic abuse, alongside partnership working and service development. What we are looking for
We are looking for a recent law graduate or early career professional with an outstanding eye for detail, strong analytical and research skills, and demonstrable experience in writing and communicating persuasively.
Working closely with our tight-knit and dynamic team, you will help deliver our unique court monitoring programme by following major cases related to corruption and economic crime that are heard in the UK courts. This work will give you invaluable first-hand exposure to legal proceedings across a range of courts and tribunals in England and Wales – not only high-profile criminal prosecutions and asset recovery proceedings, but also major commercial litigation and other civil claims, as well as judicial review proceedings and regulatory enforcement action.
As the Legal Fellow, you will benefit from the mentorship of a leading barrister as well as other support when drafting court applications or submissions and scoping potential opportunities for strategic litigation that could advance Spotlight’s advocacy objectives. Working closely with the Deputy Director, you will also engage with a range of lawyers who advise Spotlight on strategic litigation opportunities. Today, our Fellowship Programme convenes a network of 135 UK universities in the UK to secure research placements for at-risk academics and support for their families, continuing a longstanding commitment of protecting academics and preserving their knowledge and expertise.
